  • This is kind of a cool old car! This is an original, factory built 9C1 Caprice Cop Car!
Someone pulled the engine and trans out of this car several years ago for another project and then put this old car out behind the shed! Other than the motor and trans, this old Caprice is still pretty much all there, I even found the spot light!!!
Let's get a better look at this one!!!
If you like old cars, trucks, and automobilia, be sure to check out all of my other videos! Please subscribe so you can keep up with the new videos as I post them!
If you have questions about vehicles or parts, the only way to get a hold of me is to call me, 8 AM-8 PM CST, no texts.
If I don’t answer, I’m probably on the phone with someone else and if you don’t leave me a message, I just assume you're another telemarketer trying to sell me an extended warranty! LOL!
If you comment, message, text, e-mail, etc., don't expect me to find it and don't expect an answer. Thanks for watching, Chad 620-786-4428

Good Car as 9C1. But its not used for chasing or sheriff uses. This car mostly used for police station. U can see that from the seats the upholstery is different the 9C1 that used for chasing and sheriff uses only got blue and beige leather with heavy duty cloth upholstery. So any 9C1 which have Grey or maroon interior that is not a 9C1 but u can still see 9C1 that been worked for police station also come with blue or beige interior. u can see the difference from the features such as engine size , the small black dashboard gauge and lighter which used for smoking in the passenger side. The 9C1 which was used for chasing and sheriff uses comes with 350cid and 700er transmission and with all that additional things such as engine coolent, transmission cooler and the black dashboard gauge which comes in dashboard instead of the RH mirror control. The three gauges include engine oil level , battery level and temperature level. I have got one 1990 Original 9C1 which i restored it 3 years ago. That car exported to my country in 1994 According to the Carfax and it has all the features that used for sheriff uses and chasing back in the day. U can still check my channel for any question. Thank you

pop a 427 into it! lol

Theses cars aren't worth the expense to put a 427 in them. They were good as a drivetrain donnor at best. The ride was very hard and noisy. I used to have one and drove it for a couple of months before I took the drivetrain out for my G body 1978 Malibu classic.

If you think a g body drives smoother you are crazy.
      Your suspension must’ve been blown

    L05 code. Originally a 305?
    I have 5 9c1 Caprices, one is a 1990, one a 94, and three 95s.
You have any 9c1 with vinyl front seats or one with good condition rubber carpeting?

Sir I wrought a comment on a different video of yours and was wondering if you had a super cheap truck that you would be willing to sell for cheap. I am only 15 so I don't have much money.thats all and thank you for your time.

I bought one in 1995 as donnor for my 1978 Malibu classic/landeau. I had to put a posi differential because the rear wheels would spin each times I stepped on the gaz. It was a fun car to drive.
They use to have a 350 tbi and the th700 4R in them. But some have the 4.3 v6 or the 5.0. Mine had the 350 tbi. The version with the 305 ( 5.0 ) had the Th200 4R and it's a shitty transmission. I drove in for a month or two but the ride was too hard for my taste. If you had to do the breaks and you asked for a 1990 caprice, they wouldn't fit. You had ask for a Chevy van 1500. They have the same break and wheels.
