That Gap Generator Bug, I believe is actually connected to the Psychic Reveal.
Basically, the Gap Generator is programmed to every tick or so, reapply the shroud to a set area.
But, there is programming that forces the Superweapons to have a circle of anti-shroud applied to them.
The Psychic Reveal essentially works as an anti-gap generator; offering a circle of anti-shroud you can apply anywhere.
However, the Psychic Reveal, overrides the Superweapon shroud. So, if you use psychic reveal, over a Superweapon, next to a gap generator; and the gap generator's tick then activates, it will shroud the Superweapon because of this oversight in the programming.
At least, that's my prediction anyway.

When you are placing your buildings how about you put cheap ones between each expensive one, like instead of putting barracks where you put it in the beginning put it so it's between the radar and lab. Though maybe that would rarely be option as to not waste money on too many barracks.
