Cano's manager : Good news, you're in the Derby!
Cano : Awesome! Who am I up against?
Manager : You might wanna sit down for this.

When scouts say "effortless power" this is what they mean. These arent daddy hacks, theyre just controlled swings. Hes not swinging hard at all and hes sill driving the ball 450+ consistently. This is a thing of beauty

The jersey Stanton’s wearing in the beginning is actually some old Padres jerseys from the 80s and they renamed them the Nationals jerseys. You can tell they are surplus from the San Diego Padres because of the design the colors and the font of the numbers on the back and the letters on the front

Dear Lord, Chris Berman is still as unbearable to listen to as he's always been. Why does ESPN still get him to be there for this thing? ESPN can't be this ignorant to MLB fans' complaints about Berman. We know Chris, it's a homerun, that's why it's called the Homerun Derby.

  • @overclockedamd123

Sigh why can no one see it is all about the pitcher in this. That same guy pitching to a different person is totally different to them height, speed, and accuracy. No I am not saying speed matters in this that has been dispelled BUT consistency of how the batter likes his pitch's matter. Think of you playing kickball as a kid and wanting a little bounce and medium speed..bingo.

Stanton wasn't having the easy swings the commentators were wanting to lead us to believe. Judge has easier swings and has much greater distance. Easier swings? One way to know is that he hits homers consistently---during competition. Another way: He hits for a significantly higher average.
