Get vkdoom
Get my vkdoom_portable.ini and put in vkdoom directory
Get the above mods
Put them all in a mods folder and search/replace "c:\path_to_files\" in "vkdoom_portable.ini" with the folder path where you put the mods.
Basically, this section in "vkdoom_portable.ini" needs to be correct in terms of the file paths:

... run vkdoom.exe and you should be good.
god damn, i spilled my oil all over the UAC
Its so oily that the US military is now invading Phobos.
Weren't they already...? 😅
@@santitabnavascues8673 Cyber Cheney needs a need oil-pump for his heart.
Slippery doom. Now with more baby oil!
So we now know how doomguy moves so fast. He be sliding across the base.
lmaoo 3:11 the reaction to someone telling the doomguy hes gonna die
BACK IN THE DAY - "You need a BEEFY CPU to run this game!"......
NOW A DAYS WITH MODS - "You need a BEEFY graphics card to run this game!".....
back in the day, you needed a beefy CPU to run it. No graphics accelerators yet. best a graphics card did was get you more display colors. 8bit->16bit->24bit
@@Nanarchy_2k7 Fixed, you right, Nvidia 256, Voodoo and Matrox hadn't hit the scene yet, thnx bro!!!!....
The Doom engine, particularly when using modern mods that extend the limits of the original engine, is still probably going to ultimately be CPU limited in most situations, mainly single-threaded performance.
@@Nanarchy_2k7 That's not completely true - tests have shown that with the same CPU, systems with a fast VESA local bus VGA/SVGA card show better performance on vanilla Doom, though it is true that your CPU is probably ultimately the bigger determining factor of peformance.
@@Nanarchy_2k7 And don't forget boot disks to manage the expanded memory.
Oiled up UAC Facilies💀
The graphics look so damn good. 👍🏻👍🏻
😂😂😂
Oily Doom.
Big oiled bases UAC
0:40 iweahwejawe nice work being creative, i like how u were able to keep their pal and throw at them
Very impressive, the colored lighting is great. Some of the shadows are a little too garish, but I only saw it in a few places. And yeah, very shiny.
0:47 i like the sprint thing
thanks for the video (and the easy tutorial)
Nice, if the new graphics card can run the games with this performance they will be good
What GPU would you recommend for 4K 60fps?
Bruh dhtp was one of the most demanded but least known mods. It was showcased in one of SgtMarkIV's videos but most of the time people only had wads for the Doom 2 reloaded one and not this Doom 1 map wad.
boot-time-rendered RT reflections and runtime-rendered normals are the goofiest thing. Looks like everything's encased in glass.
Bloody bastard got improved.
Too damn clean and shiny but I love it yo anyone reading this give this man some respect on the doom mod 😎
Este mod Esta lindo sinceramente
I think this graphical style could look alright if the modders re-did everything in the style, monsters, pickups, weapons, so it was cohesive. I'm not so much a fan of the oiled floors and walls, but at least if they all shared the art style it wouldn't be such a clash between these different art styles. Also, not sure why they felt the need to apply the same PBR/radiosity etc. to every texture so everything looks like it's wet/oily, there are different shaders, so they could make certain surfaces more diffuse, which would look far nicer/more professional.
I'd REALLY love to see "Darkhell" and "Blakhell" (two full custom episodes, 18 maps) with these enhancements. Care to try? 💪😎✌️
How would I mod the flashlight? There's no file manager, so do I just add a flashlight pk3 to the autoload? I tried that and the vkdoom_portable file already has definitions for it (which is confusing). I just want the flashlight to penetrate further, as it is too short. Ta :)
Update: I fiddled with the in-game flashlight key mapping options and managed to get a better flashlight. Must have inadvertently mapped it oddly or something. Still would be useful to know how to add other mods, if straightforward. Great port of doom!
Flashlight pk3 is incompatible with brutal doom as it already incorporates flashlight. If you try it you'll get a script error
I'd get rid of the shadows, but that's my taste
Yeah I go back and forth on that
Yeah, the implementation they have here really doesn't work/look decent in the GZDoom engine.
I agree with a previous post, this looks amazing could you provide a zip with these or at least download links for all these mods please please! Too hard finding on google truly. Also, if are there special settings to achieve this look, would you mind sharing them as well. This looksso damn good!!
Yes i could provide links to each mod and the relevant settings in the vkdoom_portable.ini but I'm not back to my gaming PC until next week (on vacation 🙂)
@@AMD718 , thank you!!! Have a great vacation!!
@@jeffmcalpin2369 I added links and instructions to the description. Hope that helps!
@@AMD718 , thank you!
Holy brain rot
Freshly lubed for some slide cancelling
DAT Vulkan API running raytrace like the best
That looks horrible
Can this be combined with voxel doom including parallax textures?
@@TheWarmotor I've tried combining with voxels and they do work but it broke the shadows unfortunately
Thats ray traced shadows btw right?
PLEASE VIDEO TUTORIAL INSTALL , PLEASE!
can u make a zip file with every mod in? so we can donwload it without looking on google for these mods
I can provide links to each mod when I get back to my gaming PC next week. I can also provide my vkdoom_portable.ini so it's exactly the way I've configured it.
@@AMD718 nice thanks mate
@@paolopatti4409 I added links and instructions to the description. Hope that helps!
Please, I really want to play like this, could you provide a winrar?

@@AMD718 Broooo! Very very thxxxxxx o//
Thank you, everything ok! thanks for brightening up my game
The word that defines VKDOOM is (Wowww)!!! A true spectacle for the eyes and a return to the good times of the late DOOM and now in very high graphic quality.
🤩🤩🤩🤩
nice showcase, but do you have to be this brutal? jesus fuking christ
@@UrTdeltawhite well, it is brutal doom
You think i could run this with a 4060?
@@grey9507 won't know until you try! I bet it will run fine. It is CPU heavy though.
@@AMD718 ah okay I'll give it a shot but I have my doubts lol
This work on linux? Would be nice if they port to Linux, thanks. ps: looks nice

./vkdoom: error while loading shared libraries: libvpx.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have libvpx 8 and 9; I tried sudo apt install libvpx9
Thanks
@@cybernit3 well you make me crack open the linux and go down the rabbit hole. You'll want to symlink like so (ln -s libvpx.so.7 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libvpx.so.9.0.0) and afterwards you might run into more issues. I had to build libzmusic from source (github.com/ZDoom/ZMusic) as well. good luck!
@@AMD718 Ok, I had to type: $ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libvpx.so.9.0.0 libvpx.so.7
That error went away, but now I have zmusiclib error.
Is it safe to link older version of libvpx with newer? Thanks.. ps: Your linke to zmusic gives me 404 error..
It's missing the voxel model mod.
@@gnarlin4964 yes, unfortunately the relighting shadows are not compatible with the voxel models, so we gain 3d voxel models but lose all shadows.
@@AMD718 Any chance that compatibility issue can be worked out in the future?
@@gnarlin4964 I don't have any information on that or connection to the developers. So let's just say, I hope so!
