    My 5 minutes of fame. Huel interviewed me as I walked on the ship. I worked in Shop 56 for Bob Dillon and John Smith. I'm still working in shipbuilding after almost 30 years.

    The head of public affairs guy is pretty awesome. I remember this day as a kid, and the autographed photo from Huell that I treasured so much. Great memory that I'm so happy to have found!

    I worked for the shipyard shop 38/05 Marine Machinist I was 19 yrs old. I love d it. I worked dry dock 01,02 and 03. I worked all the ships. For a 19 yrs old it was awesome. It was 1983. We use to play tonk card game in dry dock 01 what memories beautiful

    My father drydocked that ship ,and was the dockmaster at southwest marine. Miss him he couldnt live without my mother.

    I was briefly stationed here with Marine 3rd ANGLICO back in the '80s. It was a great base and the nearby eateries were par excellant.

    I worked at LBNSY when I got out of the navy in 1991 worked there until 1996 then laid off. Great place to work and still have great friends

    HMAS Perth, DDG 38 Royal Australian Navy had a major refit here in 1974/75.

    My grandpa HT1 was sttioned here for 18 years or so. Are there any Sailors still stationed here? any ships?

    Worked at LBNSY IN THE 80'S. The worst place I've ever worked! I worked in shop 17 (sheetmetal shop) and the management in that shop was horrible! Glad when I left and moved to the Northwest.
