I appreciate your work. I bought a wallet from street artists in Mallorca and the leather was also from the island- they were proud. I asked why no snap for tight coin pocket. The woman shrugged shoulders and folded it. Said I wouldn't need one. The leather is so beautiful after 16 years, and the tight coin section stretched and I can put many Euro coins instead. Plastic cards, and cash. It's a tiny wallet and haven't found a replacement. I really don't need one. But your wallet in the video is absolutely a wallet I want to make or buy.
Here's a question I have had since I started leather working. When cutting out the leather do you: 1) cut off the marking line (ink or scratch) 2) bisect the line, half on the leather half waste or, 3) leave the line. It will be beveled off later. Never had I had a definitive answer. Personal preference?
@@lawanginleather Free hand. Straight edge. Scissors. (with prototypes). I have trouble seeing the line on dark leather with reasonable lighting and 66 year old eyes.
@@lawanginleather I also have trouble with cast shadows from my straight edge on the leather. I manage. I just make leather pieces for fun and to give away. Very Hobby-like. So much fun.
Muy buen trabajo y resultado, felicidades por su calidad y diseño, saludos cordiales desde Chile 🇨🇱
