I think some of us need to say like an alcoholic....I AM POOR!......It is not that I am crazy extravagant always BUT I ADORE nice things ( homewares is my area I like the odd treat in)......yet I live for 30 years since and in college in 6 by 6 square foot size apartments.......It is REALITY CHECK time!!
I watch your videos when I need a "soothing session" your voice is so calm, and puts me at ease,,, while learning all about financial habits! so thank you so much!!
I grew up with rich people - Beverly Hills in the late 60's and early 70's - nobody had "designer" anything - everyone knew that stuff was, for the quality, over priced by at least 1000% and was only for the tourists. Rich people are not inpressed by money, they are impressed by intelligence and accomplishment - artistic, scientific, humanitarian. And they are just nice people whose financial situation is more resilient than most other people. And I have heard that couture fashion loses money and that it is only advertising for the accessories - bags, sunglasses, belts, jewelry, perfume.
Always funny to hear other people talk about the nonsense they read under TikTok/Instagram comment sections. Helps me realise I'm not the only one in the world who isn't a moron.
But when you are aware of your budget and savings and start getting a little ahead and then garnishment attorney contacts you and makes you feel discouraged
All the handymand/molly’s need to hear this. I can’t tell how much money I have wasted allowing people that don’t know what they’re doing fix something.
Trying to keep up with the latest trends Buying just to buy Shopping as a hobby Not tracking your spending Buying way more than you can ever possibly use. That multiple times a day Starbucks,at $9 per. Eating out every meal of every day. Being around the wrong crowd.
i rather have $3000 in my $30 wallet than a $3000 wallet with $30 in it.
Borrowing people money also keeps you broke. Some people simply won't pay you back.

You’re welcome! Thank you for watching
The cruise complaints are so true. I've had people who make more money than me say it must be nice to go cruising 🙄. My answer: "It is 😊"
Great answer!
The cruise example was perfect. If you have a negative opinion of what you perceive "rich" people to be, you will never become rich.

Wonderful reality check! I feel like I've mostly overcome my poverty mindset, but there's still behaviors that I need to look at.

Sound advice, particularly about pride. It's always a challenge to admit to mistakes, but it's so important when it comes to finances.
