So when a doctor, nurse or whoever takes your blood sample, spinal fluid sample, urine sample, faecal sample, body fluid sample etc… they have to send it off for analysis. That sample gets sent to me, I put it in a machine and diagnose you based on that.

That sample gets sent off to a hospital lab. My job is to put that sample through a machine and to diagnose you based in the results, or to provide the clinician the results and they diagnose you based on that. When a doctor or nurse removes a sample from yourself (whatever it is, such as blood), that sample needs analysing. My job is to put that sample through a machine and look at the findings such as your sodium, potassium, ALP, ALT etc… (the final two is how you can tell if a patient is lying to you about not drinking as patients like to lie to make themselves look better), so it shows if you have drunk your liver to it’s current state effectively or if it is something else such as hepatocellular carcinoma). A Biomedical Scientist’s role in the hospital labs is to diagnose and monitor a patient’s condition (but not to treat) as that’s the clinicians job. I suspect my previous statements didn’t get through as they need looking at as it mentions the not very nice samples and where they come from… hopefully this one comes through!

I have a great story, so I lived in Germany for about 3 years and when I was there I was in a scout troop. and in that scout troop we had a myth about a creature called the bunny man. the reason this started was because of a very very creepy experience: so we occasionally camped at a place called hill 549. and at that place was a couple old buildings from world war 2. and in one of them was something really unsettling: there was some chairs put in a circle all facing inward towards the middle, in the middle there was another chair but there was also a photo in that chair. the photo was a black and white photo of a boy, who looked like they were crying, and behind that boy there was a man, dressed up in a bunny costume... anyways I love your videos be amazed you are truly amazing.
As soon as I saw the messy cables in the server room, I thought about my air force days when something like that would never exist on an F-16. And then I saw the organized image and felt so much better! We're not allowed to have spaghetti bowl looking wiring on any military aircraft. Thank goodness!

i worked on a couple golf courses in florida and when we do use the hole cutter for the flag and the cup and we put the other piece we cut out in the old hole and fix it up we also sprinkle green sand on top of it (in florida) to cover up the circle dirt marks as well just incase... also we would cut crab grass of the green to(me perfectly) cause we have to make it look prestine and perfection for golf tournaments that happens
Moving the hole around the green is for more than just variety. It prevents low spots from forming in the green where players repeatedly walk around the cup area, stand on the lip, compact the soil, etc.
I really liked seeing the floor painter not paint themself into a corner. I had an audible Oh my God with the guy throwing propane tanks into the truck too. Very nice collection. 👌
For folks in the comments saying they have OCD, it's not a condition where you seek perfection. It's in the name. It's obsessive compulsive behaviour linked to anxieties and ritualistic behaviour that bring comfort. E.g. repeatedly cleaning your hands, checking locks, tapping surfaces etc. And if you don't do them it's so horrible. I wish it was just being a clean freak 😂
Facing shelves is lying to the customer. I buy in bulk and nothing upsets me more than seeing what looks like a full shelf only to be 4 cans stacked on top of each other covering the hole. If the store is running low on something, leaving the gaps make my shopping experience easier by letting me know that they don't have 20 cans of soup and move on.
