I’m an old head who proudly rocked the fanny pack back in the day! Happy to evolve to the sling bag. I got the Tomtoc last summer to take on vacation. It’s a pretty decent bag.
Honestly i got my first tomtoc from your recommendation long ago and fell in love with their stuff not only that but their customer service is on point. I got A54 7l sling and a 40l travel backpack now im thinking its time to add xpac smaller sling to the rotation.
I bought and register several Tomtoc bags. A year ago they reached out to me for suggestions, I send many. It is nice to see many were included.
See, I like a company that isn't afraid to actually ask what we want in a product. Instead of just guessing and then coming out with something no one really wants.
You are correct,, I bought my first sling “Tomtoc” about 2 years ago, loved it ,, but kinda too small for my needs. I like to carry I guess more than other. I purchased the Bellroy 9 L and it’s PERFECT in every way . I may net carry it every day , but it goes with me everywhere I go . But when I do carry it , it’s not uncomfortable at all. Lot of guys asked where I got it . I guess if Tomtoc made a 9 L I’d probably grab it up . Great video 👍
My first sling was a viktos upscale 2.0 and loved it. Got a vertx commuter to be able to have the smallest bag possible to fit an 8" blk ARP. Slings rock
Thanks to guys like you I carry so much crap now, I had to go a sling bag. Now it’s a Roaring Fire bag, which I like, but it’s a little to “tactical”. This looks good.

I own a first responder bag and a smaller version. The 1st responder bag has all my daily edc equipment, the smaller edc sling has the same equipment minus a few items

I got a Vanquest Dendrite Small, works perfect for my purposes.
I personally use Carhart Crossbody bag it’s $30 water resistant decent amount of organization
I made my first and final purchase in one shot with the Code of Bell Xpod sling. It has done everything I've needed it to and more. Couldn't dream of going to anything else.
I use sling bags, or a fanny pack for fishing! Great for some fishing gear instead of a big tackle box for just a little day trip.

I stumbled upon your channel today with your series of deinfluincing. I stayed for the quality content and insight. The reason I'm getting into this world is because I build things and I'm often out in the field with bulky tool boxes or simply not having what I need.
As helpful as a lot of channels have been, I dont get the impression most of the people actually use or need the things they are promoting. Seems like people are more into the bling and show than actually fixing shit out in the field... not trying to hate, just an observation and why I relate much more to your aproach.

if you want the loop option for hook and loop there is no better option than the vanquest sling bag, that thing has so many options i love it

Have you looked at the Large Dendrite from Vanquest? It's not customizable, not water resistant like xpac, and I don't think it's quite as large as the Tomtoc you featured. It does however have a lining that velcro will stick to, the strap is at the ends, and it's removable.

i want to get one, but since im a big guy, strap length is always an issue. could you tell me what's the maximum strap length on these? both stretched out and normal?

I keep edc, snacks, urban water key, coms HT and G93 in my sling. Always ready to get home. I pack 2 crayons incase i run into you on the streets, but my son keeps taking them to color with! Lol

My main complaint about ALL tomtoc bags- slippery straps. They simply won’t stay put. Until they address this, tomtoc can take a hike.
