I met my PEN PAL irl!!

A wild experience.
Katherine, it was joy to see you, hear you, and hug you :) Let's do it again sometime.
*for the record, I'm not encouraging meeting up with strangers and giving random people your address. It took time to create a relationship with Katherine and build trust (We've been pen pals for 7ish years). I got her phone number probably 2 years into writing and then I don't think was for another year after that that I gave her my home address. I'll be the first to stress the importance of online safety after being on UA-cam for 13 years. Speaking of my UA-cam history:

I don't really talk about it on Micah Cate, but it was a MASSIVE part of my life for a really long time and set me up to do so many things. It's where my interest in film began and I was able to pay for my college because of my videos. Stopmotion is my first love, writing is my second so that channel was an incredible outlet for me. If you watch some videos, let me know what you think!
Finally, I apologize for my absence. This video was supposed to be up much sooner, but I wanted it to be perfect. It's only a glimpse of the weekend me and Katherine had. We also got to go country dancing (which was new to Katherine, so fun), I introduced her to some friends at a brunch, my car was being difficult so she accompanied me to AutoZone, we drank so much coffee, went on walks, and of course, we talked A LOT. It was crazy to see her sitting across the table from me after only years of reading each other's words.
