Your pronunciation and intonation while speaking Italian are so good! I'm Italian and I was very impressed about some structures you used, that are not present in the English language. Very impressive!

I played around with the Berlitz language program on an airplane one time and with my experience learning French, I recognized a lot of words in Br-Portuguese, so it was really exciting to me, but also I absolutely love the Brazil football team for many years, so I already have a desire to visit Brazil one day, which is more of the reason why I want to learn that one first. "Nosa Nosa Asi voce Me mata" lol
I'm not a native french speaker, but I am part french. I have studied the language over 10 yrs and I recognized a ton of words instantly my first day being exposed to Brazilian Portuguese. It's such a blended language that there's more than just Spanish in it that can help someone ease into the learning experience, such as Italian, German, English, and apparently a little bit of Japanese Oddly enough for me, I already speak English... I've studied French and German because that's my heritage, and I've studied Japanese as well. Soooo haha it seems really fitting for me
Your German is sooo good, I can barely hear an accent and your intonation is perfect, you sound German to me! And I really love your English! Sometimes I have problems to understand australian people because of the accent, but your English sounds crystal clear in my ears!
Hi Max, Hope you are doing good. Speaking 6 different languages is not a piece of cake. As I believe that while learning something new and doing creativity must have willpower and obsession as well. You have learned very enthusiastically. Indeed I admire you for your hard work👍.
You do really have a very high level of spanish. Greets from Colombia.
Amazing !!!!!! you are such a rare person, I could tell from your body language that you have a Rounded Personality , and it seems to me that you have a "Vivant " personality as The French would say, I do have a BA in English and MA in Near Eastern Studies and taught Translation, But like said we do assume that our language is good although my Native language is Arabic since I was first schooled in Aleppo, Syria; I think I would be watching your Videos as they are both Entertaining and Educating.
Sir I also want to learn Arabic and I have started to learn it .. so can you help me in learning Arabic... Please contact me my WhatsApp no. Is +918851107764
Grazie mille, Lucrezia! I'm so flattered that you watched and commented on my video! (I admit I was surprised when I saw your comment, but then I remembered you had studied with Emilio ;). Small world!) Mi piacciono molto i tuoi video!
It's so interesting to notice how your voice, your attitude and gestures change with the language you speak at the moment, i always thought that speaking different languages was like to discovering some hidden sides of your personality!

And then I was at a stage where I thought: How could I have NOT heard those differences? lol Especially, say, between the French spoken in France and Quebecois.
By the way, my mom's experience with German is so similar to yours with Indonesian. She was born in Germany and spent the first 6 years of her life there, so she spoke German fluently, and then came to Spain and completely forgot it. So don't feel guilty, it's normal to forget a language.
Thanks for sharing! I guess it's not a strange phenomenon then. I do wonder if a couple more years in Indonesia would've made a difference. I actually don't feel guilty about it (it wasn't my fault! :D), I just think it's a shame.
Yeah I learned Spanish first, then in 10th grade I started German. I loved German so much that I found that I lost some of my Spanish skills. Just as I got it back got cancer, had chemo, got chemo brain and now struggle with both...smh.
Hey youre australian? I am Australian too. But I was born and live in Bangkok, making me not good at English lol. but I love learning English and bahasa too! (Bahasa Indonesian, not Malay). I still make a lot of mistakes but I got a lot of fun while studying, especially when learning bahasa.
Sounds very beautiful! I also speak many lunguages, and I am the unlucky guy who speaks totally different lunguages with different alphabets: Russian, Greek, English, and including some Turkish dialect (to communicate with my relatives). You have an excellent pronunciation in all the languages I know... can’t say much about bahasa Indonesia. How do you work with your pronunciation ? Do you have some tips or suggestions? Also you can actually speak them, you’re at least b2 in every language ... you might be slow at times but you can really express yourself quite well even in the weaker ones... well done!
Thank you very much! To be honest, I don't spend a long time consciously working on my pronunciation. But I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so when I learn new words, I practise saying them out loud (sometimes several times). Nowadays the Internet is also very helpful - there are so many dictionaries with audio files. Well... I think there's a big difference among my languages haha. I have (or at least HAD) a C2 level in French and German, but I think I'm only A2 in Italian and Indonesian ;).
Yes I can relate I used to be more advanced in several languages but it’s hard to maintain them all!! I can definitely imagine that you were once c2, and now just c1. I guess that for the pronunciation it really helps that you learned some foreign languages rather early on, while the sound recognition skills of children are unrivaled... I learned my second foreign language just at 28...
I'm from Brazil and my English is at an intermediate level, now I would like to learn Italian, I watch Learn Italian with Lucrécia and Learnamo, who I love very much. You are extremely talented, a true polyglot, an example to be followed. Congrats!
Thank you for your kind words :). All the best with learning Italian. Since making this video I also discovered Marco from Fun and Easy Italian - he's an excellent teacher! He does a lot on Instagram too. ua-cam.com/channels/JQoQ-pZN9yNDGFryOm02BQ.html
:D Eres encantadora. Un saludo desde Barcelona, España.
Du sprachst ja gut Spanisch, akzentfrei, gute erklärung was du sagen wolltest . You did really well, I thoroughly enjoyed the video, because I can see that you are doing great, mate. Weiter so. Myself, I am half english- spanish and I was born in Bulgaria and I live in Madrid, Spain, and currently studying Italian, Portuguese and German. Currently I speak 4 languages, and I would like to speak many more languages, they are all so beautiful. Big up for everyone and good luck in your language learning process. Peacee :)
The best "polyglot" video on UA-cam. You have competence and knowledge not by memorizing but acquired perfectly. This is true and honest comment to you❤ I also love languages and know Finnish, English and now learning French!
Dear max out of the six languages that you speak i speak 4 of them on a different level except for german & indonesian my mither tongue is spanish, then english is my second language i learned when i was a teenager, italian was my third language inmediately alog with english, my fourth was portuguese &my last was french im still learning building vocabulary on both french &portuguese i want to congratulate you in your accent in spanish, french, italian you sound so native &even though i only know very basic german your german ist sehr gut!!!keep up the great work & eu acho que voce pode falar portugues muito bom!!! What i meant in portuguese is that i think that you can can speak portugues very well, your ability to sound native like luca lampariello is amazing keep up the 👍 work!!!
Thank you for your comment! I'm very flattered to be compared to Luca Lampariello! There are some people on UA-cam who call themselves "polyglots", but don't actually speak their languages very well. Luca, however, is very good! All the best with your language learning!
Wow! You speak many languages and obviously very well and you have a brilliant story behind the every language. I speak Finnish, English and know basic Swedish. Now I have learnt French for a while, which is lovely languages.
Saludos.
I am inspired! Damn. I need to do MORE. I have been lazy. Thank you. Whenever you switch it's like a different person comes out in you. Freaking awesome. I will link my progress after 6 months of posting this comment. Ciao
This is incredible and inspirational! I'm Australian too, and somehow we share 4 languages in total! 🇦🇺🇮🇩🇩🇪🇮🇹 (maybe I should learn French and Spanish now..🤔) I've never lived in Indonesia, but my parents speak it, and it was the first language I learnt. Whilst I've forgotten a lot as well, I'm making an effort to learn it again. I've learnt German on my own, and Italian at school, and I must say your German is super impressive. I hope that I can be like you one day..😄 I've got many years to do so luckily, but it's going to take a lot of effort to get to the level of proficiency that you've attained in each of these languages.
wow your french accent is absolutly perfect i'm french and i thought you were french at frist reaally good job . i sppeak french arabic and english but i still luck on learning spanish idon't understand why
Funny to see your body language changing according to the language you speak. Learning Portuguese as you can speak Spanish, Italian and French is going to be a piece of cake for you. Congratulations for your French. I can speak French, English, German (to be improved), Portuguese.
Haha, yes, I think lots of people seem quite different when they speak foreign languages. Thanks! Since making this video, I started learning Portuguese (albeit not very consistently. ;))
You clearly have amazing language skills and sound so convincing in all of them, even in Portuguese. I need to run and brush up my skills soon (your video was indeed what I needed to see today). Obrigada e parabéns! 💐🍀
Thank you for your comment :). After making this video I actually started learning Portuguese, but I haven't been very consistent, so my level is still very low! All the best with your language learning! ❤️
Hi from Azerbaijan! I am a polyglot too and speak 8 languages, and now I am learning the 9th language, it is spanish. And I must say that you are really skillful in those languages and in the same time you are so beautiful ;)
Max , after watching this amazing video I'm blown away by your language learning skills. I could actually be one of your ESL students. I was born in Colombia a long time ago. Spanish is my mother tongue. In my frenetic desire to learn English, I came to lose some fluency in my native tongue. I studied phonetics fully mastering the I. P. A . I had a million questions about the pronunciation of certain words that nobody could answer. American dictionaries listed a variety of variants for a given word , but they were never in agreement as to which pronunciation was the most acceptable. Within a time period of say ten years ,some of the preferred pronunciations ( The preferred pronunciation is always the one listed first) had all changed. Pronunciation became the Bete Noire of English book publishers. In the last 30 years or so there has been only one book dedicated to controversies regarding English pronunciation. The title of that book is "The Big Book of Beastly Pronunciations" by Charles Harrington Elster. . Now I speak fluent non-accented American English, but I'm interested in how English is spoken in other English speaking countries including Australia and New Zealand and in knowing how the language has changed in those countries. I think that you're the best qualified teacher to answer what you'd consider the best pronunciations for a list of words that I could provide for you. Then You could make a video directed to English language teachers on what you deem the best pronunciations for the English speaking world as whole. I want English to continue to be world's international language.
I speak four of the languages you mentioned above (which are Italian English, German and Spanish), and I think that, apart from having a very good accent for all of them, you just have like a gift for learning foreign languages! Keep doing that, in my opinion you're really good😉
Portuguese is a beautiful language but challenging. I am learning it and I am enjoying the process. I hope, one day, you will decide to learn Portuguese.
It's amazing how the sound of your voice changes with the languages! Congratulations for your R and U french pronunce. And also spanish S/C. I'm from Portugal and if you want to learn portuguese I can tell you that it's easier to learn the brazilian pronunciation rather than european portuguese pronunciation. Anyway, if you ever come to Portugal you can speak english or spanish to be fully understood almost everywhere. But, as a native english speaker, if you speak in portuguese in Portugal or Brazil, you will be amazed by the people.
I find it funny that I hear your French as your native language more than English. My native is Spanish. English second. I'm equally fluent in both. I took French in college and I was able to understand practically everything you spoke in French. Great French accent. Although speaking is more important than having accent at the end of the day. I'm 53 and started learning Russian on my own for a year and a half and I feel that I'm moving along. Not as fast as if with a teacher. So we share the love if learning languages.
Thank you for your comment! Yes, I agree that fluency and breadth of vocabulary are more important than having a good accent :). All the best with your Russian! From what I've heard, it's not the easiest language to learn :S.
congratulations for the courage my name is Marcelo, I'm Brazilian and I live in Brazil, I'm learning English, but I want to be polyglot, and I follow people who have this goal too. A big hug and keep inspiring us.
Vielen Dank fuer deinen lieben Kommentar! It's great that you're able to read books in English. I often read in other languages, but normally just short news articles. Reading books is more tiring because I have to look up more words ;). It's a difficult decision: do you become very fluent/proficient in one or two languages, or learn several, but not as well? :S Thank you again, and all the best with your language learning! ❤
I only know English but I could understand this comment. The later I stay up the more abilities I gain. But it’s 4 A.M. I should probably go to sleep now
Congrats! Gotta say that the 'me pones' bit in Spanish does actually happen to us as well. You know we say mmm too often between any two words, so we would definitely create an awkward pause there once in a while if we are not quite sure about what to order. I have a similar experience with Italian and Portuguese. A taught Spanish to my Italian ex girlfriend and so I got the (very) basics (she learnt beautifully, though). On Portuguese, my other first language is Galician, witch used to be the same language as Portuguese ages ago, so by encountering Portuguese speakers back when living in London I also got some of it. But I am bad at both. I would be interested on your perspective for comparing Italian and Spanish grammar. I find them quite similar, so I focused mainly on vocabulary. But as none of them are your first language you can probably make more interesting observations
I was gunna say that too. I'm Canadian and I've been living in Australia for a decade and she doesn't have any Australian accent I've ever heard. Probably picked up a lot of accent from her time overseas learning languages.
You did very well especially with the tone ! I also agree with you that one can forget a language if it is not used. So I helped persons with Swahili, which is spoken in East Africa, where my father's family lived after the war. It is expanding quickly, being an expressive language in spite it does not have articles nor gender. I will refresh my Arabic, once I finish doing that with French.
I’m French, I’m learning English, I used to speak Spanish way better than English but next year I had boring classes so I wasn’t paying attention, and now I haven’t said a word in Spanish for almost a year, and I think I’ll have to work a lot to get back to the lever I had two years ago. For now on, I don’t see myself trying to learn other languages, but maybe I could do it after these two.
You'll see - the more languages you learn, the easier it gets. Particularly if the languages are similar. After that the hardest thing is remembering them and not mixing them up! When I speak Italian, often Spanish words come out ;).
Thank you so much for the translations and the French subtitles for my "10 Words..." video! As I'm not French, I can't comment much on style, but to me they look great! :D
It was just mind BLOWING watching your multi- language Demo! I did smile on your “.......eine Einbrechung anmelden ! Your German & Italian are excellent......Simon would certainly say....I was not expecting thaaat !! So I didn’t either. Your English lessons and your presentation is MESMERISING. Each lesson I always learn something new. Please carry on ”Man learnt im Leben nie aus “ just showing off with German
Congrats Max, you 're a real polyglot. It seems all the" foreigner languages" you speak has a more or less the same level and consistency well done!!(my mother tongue is portuguese(I'm from Brazil, but I can speak spanish and french too), BTW I want to achieve a fluent level of English, I think I have a long way yet. You 're an excellent English teacher and I love your channel. You're very articulate and savvy and I like your straight forward personality!! Keep up the good work!
Thanks very much for your lovely compliments, Fernando! I'm glad you like my videos. It's cool that you also speak French and Spanish. I can't comment on your spoken English, but your written English is very good, so I don't fluency is out of your reach ;).
Toby Bromfield oh she does - she has what is known as a “neutral” accent. Not like the “strine” (broad) accent you hear in movies... in Australia the broad accent has traditionally been considered uneducated and a bit rough around the edges. It is not always true of course.
Your pronunciation and intonation while speaking Italian are so good! I'm Italian and I was very impressed about some structures you used, that are not present in the English language. Very impressive!
Oh, thank you very much! I admit I really like grammar ;).
Ton français est incroyable !!! Bravo
Wow, your German is insanely good. It doesn't even sound like you have an accent but more like a dialect
Her French and German accents!!! Woah! (Can't judge the others. But those are SO good).
i'm argentinian and her spanishhh is really really gooD.she didn't make a mistake at all
Your french is very impressive !
Thank you!
I speak French, Spanish and Indonesian. You're quite fluent in these languages.
You are amazing! Listening and watching you speak these languages is inspiring and motivating to many people.
Thank you very much! I hope it does motivate people. :)
If you already speak Spanish, Portuguese is now very easy.🇧🇷
That's what people say :). Hopefully I'll be able to one day!
I heard it's even easier if you do Portuguese first then Spanish, which is the route I'd be more likely to go with my french experience
I've just always been told that if you speak spanish it's somewhat familiar to understand Portuguese but that Portuguese speakers understand spanish easier

How sweet you are ! The way you speak really so beautiful and informative for all of us.

Peacee :)
Thank you for your kind words. :)
Wow, a very multicultural background! I had some good times in Madrid. :)
All the best!!
Wow bahasa Indonesiamu bagus. I Love it.
So nice to hear you speaking all those languages. I speak Spanish, some French, Portuguese and Swahili.
Ha Ha Ha. I don't have hepatitis!!! probably very useful in Ibiza
The best "polyglot" video on UA-cam. You have competence and knowledge not by memorizing but acquired perfectly. This is true and honest comment to you❤ I also love languages and know Finnish, English and now learning French!
Thank you so much for your kind words. :)
All the best with learning French!

Thank you for your kind words! And all the best with French!
Saludos.
Muchas gracias, Patricia!
I appreciate and admire you so much Tks
Bravo!
I am inspired! Damn. I need to do MORE.
I have been lazy. Thank you.
Whenever you switch it's like a different person comes out in you.
Freaking awesome. I will link my progress after 6 months of posting this comment. Ciao
Your Bahasa (Indonesian) is impressive! You can perfectly pronounce it even when you forgot it 👍🏻😃
This is incredible and inspirational! I'm Australian too, and somehow we share 4 languages in total! 🇦🇺🇮🇩🇩🇪🇮🇹 (maybe I should learn French and Spanish now..🤔)
I've never lived in Indonesia, but my parents speak it, and it was the first language I learnt.
Thank you very much!
Nice :). All the best with your language learning!
Gracias por tú tiempo y tú experiencia. !¡Bravo!. I'm improving English.
Thank you! I wish you all the best with your English learning!
Spanish is my native language and I speak English, Italian, French and now I will speak Norwegian

Which foreign language did u learn the fastest or the easiest?
This was so entertaining and motivational. My favourite flavour to the world is culture, language, and food.
Thanks very much! We'd probably get along :).

Oui, Quelle plaisir ! Vous m’inspire beaucoup.

waaaw awesome 👌 why u don't apply to HYPIA hyperpolyglotassociation ❓‼️❣️
as usual amazing!!! NO words
Thanks so much, Furkat!!
Thanks! Since making this video, I started learning Portuguese (albeit not very consistently. ;))
Parabéns a você
You clearly have amazing language skills and sound so convincing in all of them, even in Portuguese. I need to run and brush up my skills soon (your video was indeed what I needed to see today). Obrigada e parabéns! 💐🍀
Thank you for your comment :). After making this video I actually started learning Portuguese, but I haven't been very consistent, so my level is still very low! All the best with your language learning! ❤️
Wow that's great thank you for this lovely experience
Hi from Azerbaijan! I am a polyglot too and speak 8 languages, and now I am learning the 9th language, it is spanish. And I must say that you are really skillful in those languages and in the same time you are so beautiful ;)
That French accent is amazing
Keep doing that, in my opinion you're really good😉
Thank you!
Sei bravissima, complimenti !
Io sto studiando inglese, spagnolo e russo, vorrei poi aggiungere tedesco e francese.
Grazie per i tuoi contenuti !
Grazie mille!
It's awesome that you're studying all those languages! All the best! ❤️
waw you´re amazing, you inspire a lot of people to keep learning
Portuguese is a beautiful language but challenging. I am learning it and I am enjoying the process. I hope, one day, you will decide to learn Portuguese.
Are u learning European Portuguese or Brazilian Portuguese?
@@david_contente Brazilian Portuguese
@@selvyngilbert9032 oh cool, where are you from? Saudações do Brasil.
@@david_contente I am from Jamaica
It's amazing how the sound of your voice changes with the languages!
Congratulations for your R and U french pronunce. And also spanish S/C.
I'm from Portugal and if you want to learn portuguese I can tell you that it's easier to learn the brazilian pronunciation rather than european portuguese pronunciation. Anyway, if you ever come to Portugal you can speak english or spanish to be fully understood almost everywhere. But, as a native english speaker, if you speak in portuguese in Portugal or Brazil, you will be amazed by the people.
Thanks very much, Henrique! And thanks for the tips. I'd love to learn it someday!
Thank you so much! I wish you all the best!
Im in love with Brazilian Portuguese lol it was the first language I learned on my own
I'm learning it now! But I'm not being a great student at the moment... :)
English with Max omg same with me and Italian and French lollll
what resources did/do you use?
ErikaBaby i mostly used the app HelloTalk and Brazilian UA-cam videos.
Awesome I have not yet tried HelloTalk but have heard of it before :)
I was expecting ur indo accent to be really bad like a lot of people that learn it but its actually pretty good!
Wow. kudos to you Max, you speak 6 languages!
Hallo Max,
Vielen Dank fuer deinen lieben Kommentar!
It's great that you're able to read books in English. I often read in other languages, but normally just short news articles. Reading books is more tiring because I have to look up more words ;). It's a difficult decision: do you become very fluent/proficient in one or two languages, or learn several, but not as well? :S
Thank you again, and all the best with your language learning! ❤
I only know English but I could understand this comment. The later I stay up the more abilities I gain. But it’s 4 A.M. I should probably go to sleep now
I'm really impressed your lingvistic abilities. Respect and all the best in your life
Wow hablas muy bien el español. 👌🏼
To be honest You don’t sound Australian to me at all, sort of Russian accent you have ))
I was gunna say that too. I'm Canadian and I've been living in Australia for a decade and she doesn't have any Australian accent I've ever heard. Probably picked up a lot of accent from her time overseas learning languages.
astropheed it might be also teacher’s habit the way she emphasizes each word and speak as clear as possible
That was so interesting and impressive! You've travelled and lived in several places which also inspires me!
Thank you very much for your kind words! If it inspires just one person to learn languages, that's great. :)
Anyone learning Japanese

Hi. I start on the next month. I have learned korean and I noticed that exclude kanji, japanese is simple.

I speak Japanese 😊 it took me like 2 years since I was very young. Wanna study together ^^ sorry for being late
Excelente. Que video tan extraordinario.
Gracias!

*don't think ;-)
Strange, you don't really have an Australian accent
Toby Bromfield oh she does - she has what is known as a “neutral” accent. Not like the “strine” (broad) accent you hear in movies... in Australia the broad accent has traditionally been considered uneducated and a bit rough around the edges. It is not always true of course.
