We were supposed to play this as a sax ensemble almost 1 year ago today, then Coronavirus hit. I listen to this and to "Jupiter: The Planets" by Gustav Holst (the other piece we were supposed to perform) to mourn what could've been. Saxophone isn't my primary instrument, but whenever I held it and was a part of the few rehearsals we were able to accomplish, I felt a surge of power and confidence I'd never felt before. This piece is astonishing, as are the performers. Here's to my senior year in high school, the forever doomed class of 2021.

Well known orchestral concert piece, but for sax ensemble? Fantastic!

this is one of the most incredible danzones by arturo marquez
The combination of the wind instruments, omitting the strings and percussions, is a beautiful ensemble, congratulations to the performers and to the conductor

Who made this arrangement and where do I get a hold of this version? I'd love for my Sax Ensemble to perform this arrangement! It's pretty much a transcription.

      K. Veen/N. Wood I believe, but I may be wrong. This is a woodwind choir audition piece at my school this year, and that's what the music says
