That kit sounds amazing. People give Pat shit for being a simple drummer, but he's really good at finding the perfect tone for his kit, that deep thick sound... and he knows how to play to the song, not to impress.
He's serving the music with what he's playing. When people get too caught up in details and the difficulty or complexity of the music, they forget that often some of the music that most people around the world love the most is incredibly simple in it's inception and composition. If it works and it serves the music, keep it simple.
Sven Kozole exactly man. Not only that, listen to his guitar tone. Solo much more aggressive and thick. Patrick can actually stay in time compared to back them too lol
Couldn't agree more. Im 13 and i love this type of music and this band most especially... ive been listening to the black keys since they put out the album "brothers" and i cannot stop listening to them 🙃 my favourite song from is Ever lasting light.
duck brewster the salesman is the name of the finish! Ludwig used that as an example of all the finishes they offered back in the day, thus the name the salesman.
He was a good bassist, but if I recall correctly, his out of tune backing vocals ruined a number of songs live if not buried within the mix. That is not to say I wished him to die of c, but the band is better off sonically without him because of that.
perfect as always. I wish I could afford to see them live, but that's out of the question..they helped me get through my cancer treatment and recovery, so I am thankful for that. thank you dan and pat and the other people you have collaborated with
I has the privilege of seeing this tour live. Have been a fan for a long time, they rocked the damn house. They’re flawless live, i need to see them again!
This was a really solid performance, felt a little slow and sounded like they were tryna push it around 3bpm in the chorus, but they would dial it back to the original tempo- Impressive they didn't just run off with it in the first chorus.
I mean I know it's rehearsal, so I'm not expecting the world. But yeah, it's still sounding good. Tones are good, drumming is tight. It's just a bit sluggish, like the train just isn't picking up speed.
@@MrSunshine251 Right, this could be the second time this line up has played the song. I just also know that how you rehearse it the most is how it gets played. But, you know, knocking off cobwebs and all that
Well I'm so above you And it's plain to see But I came to love you anyway So you pulled my heart out And I don't mind bleeding Any old time you keep me waiting Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting I'm a lonely boy I'm a lonely boy Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting Well your mama kept you but your daddy left you And I should've done you just the same But I came to love you Am I born to bleed? Any old time you keep me waiting Waiting Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting I'm a lonely boy I'm a lonely boy Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting Hey! Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting I'm a lonely boy I'm a lonely boy Oh, oh-oh I got a love that keeps me waiting
Anyone else notice dan sang “So you pulled my heart out and I don't mind bleeding” a second time instead of singing “But I came to love you am I born to bleed”?
So he put some artistic freedom into his own song at a rehearsel. I wonder how that meeting went where they discussed additional musicians. Hey guys, how many backup guitarists do you want? Dan: Yes! I play guitar and this song just begs for more of that stuff.
Mellissa Scanlan I’m sad to say that during an interview they said that they weren’t physically and mentally able to handle an international tour, chances are if you want to see them you may have to do the traveling.

Pat is the groove mieister!
It reminds me of the custom 808's Rick Rubin would use in the Beastie's stuff.
I always thought he's just trolling people by looking like a rookie drummer while in fact he does know his shit.
Yes it does sound amazing, but the fact that the overheads are panned opposite to the video it's annoying.
Dan's voice sounds so amazing in these clips. Way better than back in 2015. Can't wait to see them in Europe hopefully next year.
exactly !
Just flows out like liquid gold, on the ceiling..
Sven Kozole exactly man. Not only that, listen to his guitar tone. Solo much more aggressive and thick. Patrick can actually stay in time compared to back them too lol
It's gorgeous.
You’re smoking crack. It’s watered down
"Sounds like the hi-hat's a little too loud guys..." - Unknown A&R dude.
why open hi-hat😢
Slush
But he graduated from Pepperdine
It's just a rehearsal, I think they knew it was loud. 😂
Negative. It’s perfect.
This song sounds absolutely amazing with just the guitars. This is the best band ever right here.
Couldn't agree more. Im 13 and i love this type of music and this band most especially... ive been listening to the black keys since they put out the album "brothers" and i cannot stop listening to them 🙃 my favourite song from is Ever lasting light.
Harrison R I agree. You couldn’t really hear that surf-rocky part of the intro in the beginning behind the keyboard. It sounds great in this version.
Relyk I agree too. I’ve also been a fan since “Brothers”, but my favorite song is “Every Little Thing” off of the new album.
Yep !!!!!!!
Quien no conoce a Dios a cualquier santo le reza
I love that Pat still uses that kit
Mike Adams it’s a great kit.
It’s gonna be an iconic kit when they make it to the hall of fame
As Letterman said to Pat in 2011 when the keys were on..The salesman! The salesman! I still don't know what that means
duck brewster the salesman is the name of the finish! Ludwig used that as an example of all the finishes they offered back in the day, thus the name the salesman.
GOD DAMN THAT THICCCC FUZZ TONE. Dan the Man and Papa Patrick still got it. 😎
Holy hell the sound guy nailed this they sound so rich and clean.
This song sounds absolutely amazing with just the guitars. This is the best band ever right here.
I love that Pat still uses that kit
It's kind of sad not seeing Richard playing with you guys again..
Is that the bloke that died of cancer?
@@eliasbautista2687 Alcohol overdose but yeah he died. He played with them on the 2014 tour. Saw them live and he was a great part of the show.

I love those Rehearsals! The sound is so thick and heavenly sounding!
I'm so damn excited to see them in a little over a month
I has the privilege of seeing this tour live. Have been a fan for a long time, they rocked the damn house. They’re flawless live, i need to see them again!
Dang this sounds so good! 👏 Loving the three guitars. Such a full and heavy sound. There’s no need for keyboard in this song honestly.
One of my favorite songs by these guys....amazing damn gift of amazing music from these guys..
Greatest rock band in the world.
@Spencer Herren IMO yes.
Nowdays yes. Otherwise I would pick something like Queen, Zeppelin etc😁
That subjective
This is so pure
The vocals here transcend the vocals in the record.
The count down is on. Can’t wait to see y’all in Chicago next month!!

Such a great band.....
Love your work... Xo
Can’t wait to see y’all in Fort Worth!!!
I remembered this song in high school, god damn does time fly, keep on rocking !!!!!
It feels slower than the studio version
Speeding it up to 1.25 is a tad too fast, but it sounds pretty damn good
Not just me then. Still sounds good, but a bit sluggish.
If you're on your computer, you can custom the speed. it sounds more like the album version at 1.10x or 1.15x
I mean I know it's rehearsal, so I'm not expecting the world. But yeah, it's still sounding good. Tones are good, drumming is tight. It's just a bit sluggish, like the train just isn't picking up speed.

Woww, still dope..
All of these practice sessions sound great a bit slower than studio and that is not a bad thing. Gives us more time to enjoy them.
Hell yeah!!!! When are you guys gonna make it to Telluride, CO? You'd be the BEST headline for Blues and Brews or Ride Fest!

How much guitars do you need ?
