    do I need to buy any special paper? I want to make t-shirt design. Also, can I use my computer to make my designs, so I can print them? is the Brother printer a good buy?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  7 місяців тому +1

      Yes. Sublimation paper and also requires sublimation ink. Regular Ink Jet ink will not work. Suggest an Epson over Brother as sublimation ink is more readily available for Epson printers. If budget allows, go with Sawgrass printer.

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  Місяць тому +1

      Pressure adjustment level will depend on the project and adjustments are made with the top released and then the knob at the top, then checking for the amount of pressure when you latch the top down. When the top is released, it should swing free and there should be clearance between the top and bottom plates. If there is sufficient clearance, and it is still hard to swing, check that the knob on the back is not too tight.

    The mug...what brand of paper are you using that doesn't bleed?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 роки тому +1

      The paper I used in this video is A-Sub. In production, I use Innosub USA or HiiPoo sublimation paper. If your graphics are bleeding, blurring, or ghosting, then you either need to NOT hot peel (crates ghosting), or increase pressure. 385 degrees for 180-190 seconds with heavy pressure makes the best transfer and I always cold peel.

    Hi.
    I set up and tested the heat press today.
    I checked the temperature readings of the platen and compared it to the read outs on the control box.
    Here is what I got:
    Heat Press Temperatures
    Reading Actual
    200 191
    220 210
    240 221
    260 219
    280 256
    300 272
    320 290
    335 304
    340 311
    360 323
    380 341
    400 355
    410 366
    The actual platen temps are much lower that what has been set.
    I did this 4 times , each time waiting for the temperature (blinking light) to stop indicating it has reached the set temperature.
    Did you have the same issue?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  Рік тому

      No. although the temperature will vary by a few degrees across the platen, mine is not more than 5-10 degrees (after complete warm up)

    Roger....YOU DA MAN! Not sure about your instruction book but mine has a line drawing of the correct control box but all of the instructions are using a "Mode" button. I'm glad I found your video. One question concerning the graphic you used.... I couldn't see any yellow on the graphic itself but when you pulled it off the cloth and the mug, there seems to be some light discoloring around the edges. Was it on the original graphic or could it be the coating on the paper that yellowed from the heat? Thanks again for a great video.

My question is is after you set the temperature does the little tent box what is it supposed to say is it supposed to Read 400 at all times or does it have other numbers up there

    Hello, I have a problem with dark transfer paper (Blue Grid). With heat press and medium pressure, I use 350 Degrees Fahrenheit and 10 seconds. sometimes I use variations of temperature: from 350 to 380 and time: from 5 to 20.
    Almost always the image looks great after the heat press. great colors and great clarity/sharpness. Just fine.
    But after a day or two, the image gets blurry - like a Photoshop filter - Gaussian Blur. It happens all the time. Always. The T-shirt just stays in the room, no washing, no extreme conditions, just normally lays on the table for a day. Sometimes two-three days, and the image gets blurry. Very blurry.
    I don't know what's wrong, what am I doing wrong? The White T-shirt printing and transferring has no problems at all, but when I print for dark T-shirts, this happens. The colors are the same, not faded, but the visual gets blurry.

    • @rogersshop

    I have two questions:
    •Does the bottom plate slide out?
    •Does the timer start automatically when you close the press?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 роки тому

      No to both questions. You need to start the timer manually.

    How do you adjust height of heat press ? I can’t fit any sweaters

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  2 роки тому +1

      The knob at the top. If it won't move or is too tight, loosen the knob on the back vertical riser a little.

      You can also use thinner pads on bottom plate.

    Why did this machine come without instructions? Then, no manual on the website, either. Seems like a very “knock-off product” type of thing to do.

    My Vevor heat press didn’t work properly! The mug heat press never get the right temperature, I used no more than 3 hours and burnt, they don’t give you any assistance, very bad costumer service, to get my heat press fixed I have to go to Orlando - Florida!! Unbelievable, DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!

      I have the exact one and purchased it 6 months ago. It's still under warranty. It kept kicking off and will not turn back on. I know it's the control box. They wanted me to order one on amazon but I didn't find one compatible. They are suppose to be sending me a refund. I have been going back and forth with them. I don't want another one like it. Seems like it's a common issue after researching.
