Fucking brought tears to my eyes. 1) because I’m so happy to see this young lady enjoying herself and sharing her talent with the world and 2) sad because my son quit trying to learn guitar the moment it became difficult. What a waste. I love it when kids don’t give up and keep trying. This is possible for a lot of kids growing up but not if you quit. Keep rocking young lady. You’re an inspiration.

I went from the bottom to the top, my instructor told me if I wasn’t willing to practice then he would stop the sessions, two years later he was telling me he had nothing more to teach me, two months later I found the inspiration to play constantly all day long for years, now I’m old & still bought my best new guitars (new guitars, new effects petal, new speakers) to each their own

I myself started playing guitar late in life but I put it down last year for some crazy reason. Now this makes want to pick it back up and play( or re-learn lol).
When this song came out I used to play it really loud. My neighbors loved it so much that they would call up their friends and tell them to could come over and listen to it too. Weird how all my neighbors' friends were cops. Great cover Mel!

Keef Teezak I guess it’s the normal version, just her guitar is louder than the original guitars - that’s how most people do covers on UA-cam. But you can hear the original guitars very well in the background. And you need more than one sound. The rhythm sound, the clean one for the interlude, possibly an harmony sound for the harmony solo (can play it without harmony of course, too) and maybe another for the shred solo with more overdrive. Would sound better than just one setting, but you can play with just one of course (overdrive and clean)
In fact it’s all about practice practice practice :) she’s cheating a few times but playing good of course (it’s not an easy song, especially with the downstrokes)
Keef Teezak no problem man! Ah and as you can see there is a blend before the acoustic part where she uses the acoustic sound for example. And in the refrain (master! Master!) the Guitar is stopping usually but she doesn’t stop the chord from sounding, that’s where you can hear her guitar very well compared to the original one

I believe this Kid not even born yet, when Metallica 1st came to Jakarta, April 1993. What, a pure talent....
In 1984 (I was 14), my folks bought me a cheap Fender Strat copy and a Roland cube amp for the ridiculous price of $200.00... 1986 came around and so did MoP, (following the epic Ride The Lightning)... I had it on cassette tape. I learned how to play guitar to this song... no effects, no UA-cam, just learned it as best I could.
It's now about to be 2020... and what do I see? THIS! ^^^^^

Been a metal head for a long time (went to my first concert in 1976 - I was 6 years old - seen KISS - I know, rock not metal, but I have since been to MANY metal shows) and have played electric guitar and percussion since the 80's. Good to see and hear a young lady keeping the metal alive.
