Definitely opening up the PS1 and a copy of Dino Crisis. I still play those games to this day, nearly 20 years later.
dino crisis is so so good!
CONGRATS CHRIS... YOU WON THE PS2!
@@retrorick no way!!!!
@@cnelson7124can you message me on Facebook or Instagram?
@@retrorick will do!
Couldn't afford anything new growing up but was happy when we got a used NES from a flea market with a handful of games including master blaster
Master Blaster is so dang good! Thanks for watching David
Great finds man! Finding so many gems for cheap you're on fire
I didn't think I would have seen Nintendo Collecting in the comments.
he's not collecting it just because he picked it up. He's a reseller! I don't get these people! Leave the games for other people whom might not be resellers!@@josephwaul6137
Larry Barry do you not see his background I’m pretty sure he’s a collector. What he’s doing is selling off stuff to add to the fund to reinvest to build his collection that he started with $10
I think in the end, everyone ends up being a lowkey reseller, i started collecting in 2013 and now i still collect, but if it werent for me flipping a lot of my doubles of consoles and games i would not have as much as i have right now, you always end up taking into consideration the value of the stuff you are buying first.

The Gamecube at Christmas 2001! As a kid we were able to open 1 present on Christmas Eve, whichever one we wanted. I opened up the GameCube but no games. My parents never let me have a gaming console growing up so this was my first. (I was 12.😞) I was so excited and couldn't wait to play it. So I snuck back to the tree and opened another present. A game shaped present! There was 2 wrapped together: Luigi's Mansion, and Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2!! I just told my parents it was all wrapped in one. I don't know how I got away with it. I played them both all night. I got really far into Luigi's Mansion only to realize that I never unwrapped a memory card!
Love the nostalgia on this channel! I'm 31 so like I said I never had any home consoles growing up until 2001. Had to rely on friends. I enjoy this channel so much. I get to go back and check out all these new old games!
Cheers Retro!
One of my first memories is opening a brand new NES on Christmas when I was 5 years old. It blew my mind! According to my parents I was mesmerized by arcade machines I had seen in hotels we had stayed at and when we found out you could get home consoles it was all I would talk about for months on end leading up to Christmas. Great memory, great console, great times all around.
Sega Dreamcast I lost my mind. This underrated console is very special to my heart. It was actually the first time i was on the internet.
Yes! I actually got the dreamcast day one with ready to rumble and sonic adventures...the graphics floored me!
Retro Rick yes sir. My personal favorite game on the console was Blue Stinger. I don’t know why but I absolutely loved that game. Years later of course I realize how corny that game is.
Hey Retro Rick, I've been binge watching all of your $10 collection episodes...I'm half way through and so far really enjoying them!
Hey first time watcher here, I just wanted to say major flashback with the rpg creater thats awesome. The system I lost my mind getting was the Gameboy color in atomic purple for Christmas. I couldn't believe how much color improved my games and I was absolutely blown away.
Great memory! Thanks for checking out the channel Nick!
This is why I enjoy watching your $10 video game collection videos because you show us what dvd movies to keep I eye out
I remember for Christmas getting the Atari 2600. Shows how old I am.
hahaha, we all getting old
Probably when my bro and I got an N64 for Xmas of 96. I still remember sitting on the floor of my grandmother’s house as we opened it screaming like madmen lol! No surprise the games we got with it were Mario 64 and Mario Kart, along with a blue player 2 controller. Hands down the best and simplest times of my life.
Growing up I always shared gaming consoles with my brother. Shared our gamecube, ps1, and ps2. One year for xmas my parents got me a gba. I was so happy to get a gaming system I could call my own. I was excited and started cheering and jumping around with pure joy. Still have that same gba.
I remember when I was 10 or 11 and my grandmother got me the first Nintendo. I swear that system changed my life. I fell instantly in love with it. I spent all my allowance or any other money I could get together on games.
Amazing! What are some of your favorite games of the console?
Mine was the SNES, my grandma found thrift shopping for me! It had Doom, Kirby SuperStar, Super GameBoy, and EARTHBOUND!
I must be the only person who freaked out when I got a wii U for chrismas
I did aswell
3d world bundle, i was so happy i literally cried we got the best console😎
I did ahah though I eventually became a Wii u UA-camr sooooo
I did too
Easily getting the original NES for Christmas was a shocker for me as a kid. I was playing my friends NES for a long time. My family didn’t have a lot of money but my mom and step dad knew how much I wanted one and saved up and made it happen. Love you Mom and Dad.
Hey Rick, just wanted to thank you for these videos. This really inspired me to go out there and see if i can flip anything and Wow thank God almighty that within a couple of weeks i flipped $100 with old games and dvds ive bought for little to no expense. Im currently pushing myself to do even more and hope soon to see a listing for a bundle to keep flipping. You and CollectorsLuck have really been a positive influence for me and i just wanted to thank you and God bless you and your loved ones. Keep the videos coming man!!!
Alvaro! So glad they are helping, in so glad you have been able to track down some stuff and flip it! Keep grinding man!
I got the super nintendo as a kid. I was sooo hype to get on Christmas morning.. I kept hugging my mom all day💪🏾
hahahaha got to show mom some love
Wholesome af
I still remember waking up xmas day and finding a brand new gamecube with super smash bros melee. there was even a little miniature official nintendo gamecube inflatable chair with it. me and my two brothers lost our mind
hahaha i bet...NINTENDO GAMECUBE!!!!!!
When I was a kid the first console we got was the Wii and I was stoked! Since then I've bought most of my own but remember being so excited to play the Wii!
I remember getting an n64 from my grandfather the year it came out. I was currently playing a handy down snes at the time and I went to my grandparents for the weekend. My parents couldn’t really afford many games back in the day so my grandfather brought up this new system from Nintendo that just came out. It ended up being the Nintendo 64 and I got wave race 64 and Mario 64 with it just like you said that you did! He recently passed away and it’s one of the special memories that holds close to my heart. Love your content take care!
I don't know where you are hunting at, but you are lucky to come across any in my area.
I remember on my birthday getting a 3ds and Mario kart 7. I lost my mind I was taking pictures all day thinking it was so cool how I can take pictures and play my games all on one device.
hahaha man it was pretty crazy to be able to take pictures and save them on it!
One day my dad got home from work with a giant bag (huge to us as kids) in his hands. He had a few extra bucks and he randomly decided to get my older brother and I a brand new PS1 with a couple of games. My brother and I completely lost it. Hugging and crying and screaming. It was nice to see the look on my dads face for knowing he had done such a good and unexpected thing for us. A great memory that I will never forget.
At Christmas in 1985 I got a NES, was super exited, played duck hunt and Mario for a long time! Loved playing RiverRaid and RC Proam, great games!

For me it was the og xbox. I wanted it for Christmas and one night my mom woke me up and said come on we are going to the store. It was November I think. We waited all night into morning and I was first to grab the Xbox .... couldn't play it till Christmas morning though. Good memories.
Awesome scores man.. 👍👍
Its was sooo cool watching you thrift with tendO man. U2 find some awesome pick-ups.. And your gameroom OMG 😲
Ive been having my own garage sales over past wks now with literally 100s of games and tho it would most likely never happen it would be so awesome if u2 could have came to my game sale. And even if you guys only found 1 game to add to your collection.?? That would be soo cool to know that I guys found games at my sale for your own personal collection... You guys are awesome..
Stay cool 😎 and keep making killer videos.. 👍👍

@@retrorick Yeah it does! Great video as always man!
Awesome video, great game haul... the system I got that I got growing up went crazy about was the Original Playstation, didn't expect it and was the best present ever.
Dude insanity...like a collection I've worked my whole time for in one goodwill haul! 🔥🤘
Favorite 90s movie Angels in the Outfield, Rookie of the Year 2nd favorite...
i fell asleep watching angels inthe outfield every night one summer
I think your channel theme of thrift flipping but also collecting gaming stuff is a pretty sick. I like thrift flipping videos and this is the game version!
Love the haul and this $10 collection challenge show. My friends and I saw Rookie of the Year in the theater and had a blast.
I lost my mind on my GameCube that came with Zelda Collecter's edition!
heck yeah me too!
@@retrorick Thanks for the reply, that's super cool of you! I didn't have a N64 yet so that was my first experience playing Zelda games.
@@Humdr Zelda was originally on the NES fetus
And my all time fave was on SNES
Lol , I’m 36... had NES in kindergarten
Then SNES and Sega , which I got for Christmas with sonic .. and the SNES I got the donkey Kong bundle ... that’s years and years until PS came out
vice city was heavy... i distinctly remember a mission where the guys like "oh so youre the guy with the big cojones"
I got a N64 from my grandma for Christmas with Super Mario 64 and was so excited. I remember seeing the trailers for Super Mario 64 and being in awe of him jumping in the paintings. I thought "Wow! Those graphics are amazing." I couldn't believe it when I opened my gift and saw it. It was the best gift ever.
The OG Xbox from target. It was my first brand new console and I'll never forget the fresh scent when I unboxed it. Great video Rick!
My dad bought an N64 demo display from a Kmart that was closing, wasn't my first system but definitely the best
oh my gosh...my dream!
This is the most 90's comment I've ever read lol
My first surprise system was the sega genesis, I lost my mind, after receiving that.
Nice Ethan! The Genesis was actually my first console!
The goodwill i go to always has w good selection of PS1 and PS2 games. But their VHS tape collection is huge. Some still unopened. Absolutely awesome.
I’ve only recently come across your channel and I’ve binged watched this series with two days. Really enjoying it 👍🏻
The console I lost my mind when I was a kid when, I got my Sega cdx
oh man i would lose my mind now if i got a sega cdx!
My first console was the og DS. I freaked out. So many hours on the DS and 3DS
oh lets go! I love the og ds
Gameboy for sure! My mum was great at getting presents, I got a carry box case with it, charger, magnifier , got it all! Was super excited to have it and was cherished for many years until it went missing 😭
Snes I went nuts over when I was 7. I still remember that Christmas and think back on it fondly
Hi Retro Rick,
I lost it when I got the Atari 2600 and Q-Bert cart for my birthday in 1983.
PS Love your $10 challenge and channel. It was awesome to see you and Tendo crossovers.
The PS 2 is awesome I want to get back into ATV off-road fury.
awesome man! It was a lot of fun hunting with Tendo
I remember for my birthday i got a gamecube with luigis mansion and i was literally so happy.
oh heck yeah! I still havent played the new luigis mansion yet!
Field of dreams is my fave!!!
Awesome pickup, awesome video.
The console gift i remember being the biggest shock was Nintendo 64, think it was 1997. First time I got a console that was mine, and no one else. Good memory
Youre going to need another shelf for that $10 game collection man. Its grown so fast!
haha for sure! I need to find a new solution!
I saw so much passed gold in this video. Expecially in the second store 😂
@ 15:30, that's what you call a haul and an amazing one at that! 😲👍
The Nes was the console that did me in. It wasnt a holiday gift, my older cousin "grew out of it" and gave it to me one day just out of the blue when i went to his house. Had it ever since, over 30 years ago
For me, it was the Ouya back in June of 2013. Man, I was so excited I couldn't even sleep the night before. Not a lot of games to play at release or during the console's lifetime, but what an awesome system.
The original Wii which I got for Christmas 10 gears ago and still have it to this day. I still believe it’s one of the absolute most fun system Ive ever played with a fantastic library!
Ver nice haul! I had a absolutely insane haul today too. I got games like resident evil outbreak for PS2, mario party 8 wii, super smash bros brawl wii, super mario galaxy 1 and 2, mario kart wii, zelda twilight princess wii, etc. It was definitely one of the top 5 days i have had game hunting. All 41 games that i bought, i found in thrift stores!
wow! Incredible pick up!!
@@retrorick thank you!
Great pickups! So the game system I lost my mind over was the SNES. It was about a week before It launched and my mom asked me to get some bags out of the trunk of her car for her, I go outside and pop the trunk and there it sits!!!! At the time my aunt owned a video shop so she was able to get It a little early.
Just started watching your channel. Thank you for the tips and what an amazing collection you have! I’m an 80’s kid and love to see all of the toys/video games I played with!
When I got my SNES on Chrismas of 1992 I completely lost my mind on it as a kiddo. I got it with Pilotwings, Super Mario Kart & Super Mario World. My dad also went and did the Super Mario All-Stars mail in as well a bit later. I have each and every game in my collection to this day and will forever love that moment in time.
A console that I originally went crazy over was the PlayStation 2.This Console Helped me through some tough times when I was smaller due to family, but when I would boot up a ps2 and watch the opening cutscene my mind would be so blown away and my current problems would go away for a time.I would hear the island waves crashing onto shore while i was playing these games during nighttime hearing the sounds of exotic Coqui Tree frogs and feel the cold wind hitting my body.......I miss those times.
I would play games like Jak2,Final Fantasy X,Kingdom Hearts and crash. At the time I was living on an island with others,Final Fantasy X and Kingdom hearts connected with me so much more due to being so close to water,I love water so this was a cool relation that I had with the games. And they helped me become a better person now than ever.
Thanks for bringing back some memories Retro,i Appreciate it.
My console was N64..so many great games and memories..my dad got it for me Christmas of 96..i have so much nostalgia for this system
The Sandlot was my favorite baseball movie from the 90's, because Major League and Bull Durham came out in the late 80's.
for sure, one of my favorite movies!
i was given an Atari 2600 for christmas a long time ago. A friend had one and i will never forget the first time i played Superman. I had only played games ling pong previously, so it was a great memory from my childhood.
That's really an amazing haul Retro. I have the GTA stories games on my PSP. They are pretty good kinda spin offs the originals. As far as I can remember getting my Gameboy when I was a kid was total unexpected. It as a gift from my godmother and I remembered being so crazy happy. Not only did I get the GB but she sent me 6 titles and a carry case for my collection. I played that thing to death. It yellowed from always being out in the sun with me. I grew up on an island so it was always on a beach or outdoors with me. 👍🎮🎮🌴🌴🌴🌴
Great pickups! My biggest freak out was also the N64, Christmas of 2000 and my brother and I got the “Battle Set” Pokemon Stadium bundle. I also remember getting my Gameboy Advance the day before my birthday and my parents let me try it out for a half hour before “officially” getting it the next day. Great memories!
Original Nintendo NES was my greatest system gifted as a kid, I remember my cousin got one for his birthday so when I got it for Christmas I was extremely excited!!!
Hello! I got a SNES and the SNES super scope 6. I was 8 years old. My father was a drunk. He was also so mean. I never got anything for Christmas other than broken hot wheels from Salvation Army. When he got this for me, I was the happiest child in the world. It began my love for video games. Now I'm getting back into it with my son. Thank you, and my fingers are crossed.
Sega Genesis was the one that got me when I was a kid! It was a model 2, we lost our minds at Christmas 😆
Best Christmas ever was the year my grandparents got me and my brother the NES action set with Mario/Duckhunt. That was our favorite Christmas we ever had as kids.
The Atari 2600!!! My sister and I wore out several joysticks playing track and field!! Thanks for jogging some old memories!!
The Sega Genesis Model 2 was my Biggest & Favorite suprise Bday gift ever.
I freaked out when I got the GameCube. That was the console I was the most excited to get. I don’t think I’ve ever been as hyped for a new console as I was for that one. So many classic games.
Its really an amazing console!
The sega genesis was my first Christmas gift.. with the OG POWER RANGERS game to complete.. one of the best gifts I'll never forget.
I got an Atari 2600 when I was 9 for Christmas. Been collecting ever since! I enjoy your content, keep it coming.
Hola Rick! For me it was the Christmas of 2000, I vividly remember opening my Sega Dreamcast and playing crazy taxy for hours. Cheers🍻
Keep them coming. I love the clips of game play and movie clips 👌🏼👌🏼
Christmas 1998. It was one of my last presents left to open that morning. My older brother excitedly hands me a small, square shaped box. I rip it open and only to find chocolate-covered maraschino cherries. I'm devasted, but trying to fight the tears and not act spoiled. Brother encourages me to eat one of the cherries...my face when I finally open the lid to find a used copy of FF7. Mom then brings in a used Playstation from another room. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! Best Christmas EVER :).
As a kid, the console I remember being the most excited to get was my GameCube in 2003 when I was 11. The games I got with it were Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic Mega Collection, Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse, Kirby Air Ride and Billy and the Hatcher and the Giant Egg, plus the GameCube itself came with "Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition."
Retro Rick I love your videos it has help me as a collector to build my collection bigger
I got the SNES for Christmas and was blown away. To this day, that is still my favorite system of all time!!!!!
The console I got that I lost my mind was a hand me down Sega and Sega CD with a stack of games from my cousins.
I absolutely loved these systems and would always play at their place.
Totally unexpected!!
The NES. I always played it when mom took me shopping to Sears. Sometimes waited 20 mins to play. I was so excited when I finally got one for Xmas one year!
I got a Xbox Original. I was flipping out when I unwrapped it. When I plugged it in I was blown away by the startup. I got Crash Twinsanity and GTA 3. I had a blast as a kid
I dont remember the day I got my Playstation, but I do clearly remember being in awe of the first game I booted up that day. Final Fantasy 8 intro scene was crazy. I would actually wake up early before school to watch the scene and play it
Hey Rick. Love the content. Got a Turbografx 16 as a kid. Intially, I was dissappointed because I wanted an NES but I ended up loving the Turbografx and my friends liked playing Bonk's Adventure and Blazing Lasers at my house since no one had a Turbografx.
Hi Retro. Nice pickups. My favorite moment was when I got the Sega Genesis 16 Bit for my Birthday. NBA JAM TE and Streets of Rage 2. Played the hell out of those too. 🖒
The console I lost my mind over was the original NES. It was Christmas 1987 and when I unwrapped it seeing super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt, 10 Yard Fight, and Pro Wrestling; I think I literally ran around my house screaming and had tears in my eyes. The most unique part is that I remember waking up around 4 in the morning the next day to use the bathroom and I hear the classic Mario music from the living room. My grandma was awake all night playing super Mario brothers lol!
The console I was surprised with as a child was the Nintendo GameCube, along with super smash bro’s melee and nfl blitz. The best game related childhood memories of mine came from that cube.
I was stoked to get a Mattel Intelivision back in the day. This was the first console I got as a kid. The graphics were a step above the Atari which I was playing at our friends house all of the time.
One Christmas I got the Gamecube and I was so excited. My mom could not get me away from it. I pretended to be sick when it was time to go back to school just to have more game time.
Holy crap as you were asking the question and i started typing out this message. My answer was that EXACT Toys R Us exclusive N64 with the gold controller!!! I was the only kid with the Gold controller. Keep retro alive.
Symphony filter was absolutely AMAZING when I was a kid omgggg I loved that game so much...played a little bit of the 2nd and never got the chance to play the 3rd...amazing series that definitely deserves a Remastered collection🤙🤘🔥💙
The console I got as a kid was the Atari 2600. Well it was the Sears branded Telegames system...which was the same thing. Christmas 1979 was pretty spiffy, thanks mom & dad!
PlayStation 2 was mine. When my brother and I opened up our PlayStation 2 we freaked out ours came with grand theft auto so it was cool to see you find them both in this episode
Love your pickup videos every week! Shout out from UK 👍👍
I got a odyssey II when I was 10 in 1978. I still have it but have not played it in ages. thanks for the videos
I got an Atari VCS for Christmas 1982! We also got 2 games PacMan and Space Invaders. I was so happy! We played for years!
When I was a kid i lost my mind when I got the PlayStation 1 , my first game resident evil directors cut ,man how I spend my free time on that game it brings back good memories lol
New to your channel, really enjoying your hauls. We're one state over, seems like you're in Arkansas. For us, the console I flipped over was the first PC we ever got thanks to my Grandma. An Acer Aspire, cost $1500 in 1995 and it was there I found Fallout, Duke Nukem, and my love of weird games no one has ever heard from.
The Atari 2600 was my mind blowing gift. It was $199 back in 1979 when I got it for Christmas, and I was sure my family couldn't afford it. So I lost it when I opened that present!!! My Aunt got it for me, she was the best!
dude your aunt is the goat!
The original NES. I remember getting home from school and there it was all hooked up, ready to go.
