You obviously love the voice of Dimash, but seem to be waiting for the big moment. Just to let you know, he doesn’t always do vocal acrobatics but sings some beautiful songs, quite simply, but so heartfelt, they make me melt. Quaragym-ai is one, I Couldn’t Leave is another, and Marigolds etc.
Dumash didn't stumble into this, he was destined INTO this from before he was born. His Grandmother knew about this before he was born, and according to Kazakh tradition, his father's parents moved in to raise him since he was the firstborn son of a firstborn son. His parents, mother is an operatic soprano and father sings with her onstage, and they both worked in government arts and education and in concerts, so Dimash heard those high octave sounds from conception, used to run up on stage at 2 years old and take bows with them to the audience's delight, and then was enrolled at an academy at 5 years old by his Grandma who would walk him to the lessons in singing and piano and home again. He has trained and practised ever since, 25 years of it so far, dedicated, focused, loving it the whole time, and winning competitions as he went in Kazakhstan and in some Asian neighbouring countries. This was up until he was asked to a Chinese contest for Chinese experienced popular artists, called I Am Singer in 2017, and performed his signature song SOS from a French Canadian Rock Opera called Starmania, and brought the house and Chinese internet down overnight. He was the first to sing on the first night, was not expected to stay past the first night, and woke up next morning to find security guards outside his door, who accompanied him for the duration of the competition. He did not win it as the prize needed you to speak Mandarin, which he could not do then. Ever since then, the Chinese fell in love with him, and the world followed as soon as people saw the concert online. He spent 3+1/2 years there and also travelling to concerts in Russia and Paris, London, Turkey, other countries, and now is known worldwide by people who have discovered that international artists are frequently much better than western ones.

Dimash comes from a very musical family. His parents both sing, and he started music school, when he was 5. He attended many singing contests in his country of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus. He won all of them, but did not become famous until he came 2nd, in a Chinese show, “ I Am Singer.” He did not win, because a non Chinese could not wi. Since then, contestants from other countries are now winning on the show. It didn’t matter, because Dimash became an overnight sensation, and, the rest is history. The “Hello” song you saw, was Dimash as an invited guest, on I Am Singer, in 2018. One of the 1st songs he sang, is S.O.S. He sang that very early in his career, but seems to be one of his signature songs. Dimash has a Master’s degree in Composition, and a Doctorate in Musicology. He has written quite a few songs, “ O ir”, “War and Peace”, and “ A Story of One Sky” ( and others). Would love you to react to “A Story…” Dimash wrote the music, and acted in the MV. Great reaction. Dimash has been professionally trained in his country at a beautiful college since age 5. He did academics part of the day and voice training the rest. He sings at least 3 hours a day and is involved in every aspect o his music, even covers, and concerts as well as his music video’s. He first entered what he calls “the adult stage” when he was invited to participate in a singing competition among other professional singers in China at age 22. The first song he sang was a French cover called SOS. Dimash has been singing for almost 26 years and may have his Ph. D. by now. He takes his job seriously. Yes his mom is an opera singer, his dad a singer as well as his producer. Check out The story of One Sky, but make sure you watch the live version from his Almaty Concert part 3. Loved your reaction! There are so many more songs for you to enjoy and I am a little jealous, because you will be hearing them for the first time ….. and that is special!! His latest one 2024 “AngelLove” is a heart breaker for sure. No huge range acrobatics , it so very beautiful and measured, full of feeling as only Dimash can do. Apparently it is sung for a very ill young fan who was in hospital and I’m not sure if the youngster survived. The song is wonderfully touching and the “First chair” violin solo accompaniment is tear material when coupled with the magic of Dimash and his subtle, beautiful rendition of this wonderful song. His professional singer parents discovered he had perfect absolute pitch at 4 and he entered the national music academy at 5. He is very self driven and trains 3 hours a day since he was a kid. He swims for breath control. I think he has 3 music degrees now. This song is in Russian and the performance was in Moscow, Russia at a tribute concert for Alla Pugacheva, the first singer of this song in 1994, the year Dimash was born. He is fluent in Kazakh and Russian, speaks pretty good English and some Mandarin. He sings in a whole bunch of other languages using phonetic memorization - about 11 others or so.
Thanks for a heart felt reaction...it's still one of my favorite songs of his! Every song he sings he hits out of the ball park, always such a thrill to hear his incredibly clear, clean tones. He continues to stretch his limits with new genre's and just gets better and better. "Angel Love" is new this month-- another exquisite love song and another at the same show is his version of Lose Control in a stunning duet for some R&B!
I would encourage you to check out his Wikipedia page to educate yourself on his background and educational achievements. He’s working (or maybe has finished) his Ph.D. in Composition (I believe). Oh good....sound this time. I love this performance! This was Russian. He sings in about 17 languages, & speaks 3, with a 4th in progress. Dimash started music school at age 5, at his own wishes, where they discovered he had absolute pitch.

Anytime you see Igor Krutoy (famous Russian composer) at the piano, that means he wrote this particular composition just for Dimash. Igor came out of retirement after hearing Dimash sing and wanted to be a part of helping him grow in his music.
Although Igor composed Love is Like a Dream, he wrote it for Alla Pugacheva in 1994, the year Dimash was born. IMO, Dimash’s revised version is far superior to Alla’s performance.

His neo classical songs are quite good but I much prefer his many pop songs or folk songs as igor Krutoy turned him into a bit of a dancing pony with all these obviously placed high notes. You've already said "i know what he's about to do" which is quite disappointing pinning poor Dimash into a corner because of 4 or 5 songs from one composer.

Dimash comes from a very musical family. His parents both sing, and he started music school, when he was 5. He attended many singing contests in his country of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus. He won all of them, but did not become famous until he came 2nd, in a Chinese show, “ I Am Singer.” He did not win, because a non Chinese could not wi. Since then, contestants from other countries are now winning on the show. It didn’t matter, because Dimash became an overnight sensation, and, the rest is history. The “Hello” song you saw, was Dimash as an invited guest, on I Am Singer, in 2018. One of the 1st songs he sang, is S.O.S. He sang that very early in his career, but seems to be one of his signature songs. Dimash has a Master’s degree in Composition, and a Doctorate in Musicology. He has written quite a few songs, “ O ir”, “War and Peace”, and “ A Story of One Sky” ( and others). Would love you to react to “A Story…” Dimash wrote the music, and acted in the MV. Great reaction. Dimash has been professionally trained in his country at a beautiful college since age 5. He did academics part of the day and voice training the rest. He sings at least 3 hours a day and is involved in every aspect o his music, even covers, and concerts as well as his music video’s. He first entered what he calls “the adult stage” when he was invited to participate in a singing competition among other professional singers in China at age 22. The first song he sang was a French cover called SOS. Dimash has been singing for almost 26 years and may have his Ph. D. by now. He takes his job seriously. Yes his mom is an opera singer, his dad a singer as well as his producer. Check out The story of One Sky, but make sure you watch the live version from his Almaty Concert part 3. Maestro Igor Krutoy (piano) and Dimash presented the song first on Alla Pugachova's 70th birthday on April 2019. She is a famous singer in Russia. The event took place in the Crocus City Hall in Moscow.
Maestro Krutoy composed this song 28 years ago for Alla Pugacheva. Valerya Gorbacheva wrote the beautiful words. Now Igor and Dimash have refreshed the song and Dimash made it his song, incomparably beautiful. The interpretation is completely different from the original. I melt away every time I hear the song.
* Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.

His latest one 2024 “AngelLove” is a heart breaker for sure. No huge range acrobatics , it so very beautiful and measured, full of feeling as only Dimash can do. Apparently it is sung for a very ill young fan who was in hospital and I’m not sure if the youngster survived. The song is wonderfully touching and the “First chair” violin solo accompaniment is tear material when coupled with the magic of Dimash and his subtle, beautiful rendition of this wonderful song. His professional singer parents discovered he had perfect absolute pitch at 4 and he entered the national music academy at 5.
He is very self driven and trains 3 hours a day since he was a kid. He swims for breath control. I think he has 3 music degrees now.
This song is in Russian and the performance was in Moscow, Russia at a tribute concert for Alla Pugacheva, the first singer of this song in 1994, the year Dimash was born. He is fluent in Kazakh and Russian, speaks pretty good English and some Mandarin. He sings in a whole bunch of other languages using phonetic memorization - about 11 others or so.

Thanks for a heart felt reaction...it's still one of my favorite songs of his! Every song he sings he hits out of the ball park, always such a thrill to hear his incredibly clear, clean tones. He continues to stretch his limits with new genre's and just gets better and better. "Angel Love" is new this month-- another exquisite love song and another at the same show is his version of Lose Control in a stunning duet for some R&B!
I would encourage you to check out his Wikipedia page to educate yourself on his background and educational achievements. He’s working (or maybe has finished) his Ph.D. in Composition (I believe).

Oh good....sound this time. I love this performance! This was Russian. He sings in about 17 languages, & speaks 3, with a 4th in progress. Dimash started music school at age 5, at his own wishes, where they discovered he had absolute pitch.

Anytime you see Igor Krutoy (famous Russian composer) at the piano, that means he wrote this particular composition just for Dimash.
Igor came out of retirement after hearing Dimash sing and wanted to be a part of helping him grow in his music.
Although Igor composed Love is Like a Dream, he wrote it for Alla Pugacheva in 1994, the year Dimash was born. IMO, Dimash’s revised version is far superior to Alla’s performance.

His neo classical songs are quite good but I much prefer his many pop songs or folk songs as igor Krutoy turned him into a bit of a dancing pony with all these obviously placed high notes.
