This Tiger I Ausf. H1 V1. The very first real Tiger I. It was rushed through production in April '42 and has some interessting features like the Vorpanzer.
I used Rye Field Model RFM 5001, the inital release, to convert this kit, however I'd recommend you use the RFM 5075 eastern front Tiger instead, you have a much better time since there are not as many modifications nessary and you have the right type of drive wheel in the kit. - but you will ahve to print a set of early tracks, since V1 does not use mirrored ones.
Special Thank you to @AdamMann3D for helping me out with parts from his 3D Tiger. Check out his channel and his stuff on Gumroad: slapferret.gumroad.com/

Sry lads, I have to switch the schedule around. Next weekend I have a review for you, before dealing with RFM 5075 Inital Tiger the week after.
Well Adam Mann is going to hate this Tiger...it doesn't have any tool clamps on it :)
Awesome work making the V1 prototype. The spaced bow armour is very unique; I've never seen another tank with such a design. Well, I guess huge articulated armour plates don't make much sense on something that's going to be shot at.
Thanks Evan. They did shoot the DW1 Vorpanzer, didn't hold up, they shot V1 Vorpanzer still didn't hold up, so a protective ring in front of the final drive was added instead.
There he is.
thanks : )
Sehr schön aufgedröselt hast du das für uns, alles klar und nachvollziehbar. So sieht der Tiger auch ziemlich heiß aus, mal was anderes.
Danke Michael - wundere mich immernoch warum's den nicht in Spritzguss gibt...
Great video. Finally had a moment to sit down and enjoy. Thank you very much.
The photos we had in the US DoD class I took showed Tiger prototype having plywood hatches. Either removed by Germany or by the DoD. The class I took was on photographing intelligence subjects and Technical intelligence. It's interesting to see the changes... the Panther had plywood hatches as well. I asked who removed them and was told the Germans did. As for the Tiger I still don't know.
Great research and a wonderful build. I use David Bryden's site every time I do a Tiger build. Keep it comin my friend
Thank you Steve. We are very lucky he shares his stuff on his website. I wish more companies would dig into the inforamtion there before releasing a kit lol
Schöne Arbeit, gut erläutert und vorgeführt. Wird ein sehr interessantes Modell, Kai.
Grüße, Joachim
Danke Dir Joachim.
wonderful work! You are amazing!! Your video will be my study. thanks for sharing! 👍⭐️
Great vid Kai! For a guy relatively new to modeling and 3D printing you do a fantastic job! Your designs are awesome, I am happy to be a supporter!
Good to have you back Tankbrusher. You have been missed. Another great video. Keep them coming!
Amazing work and research as always Kai. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Thank you mate. I need to catch up on your builds, see you soon in your comment section : )
@@Tankbrusher take your time my friend, i will be there.
Beautiful work, and so well researched... some very nice solutions to the issues encountered. Looking forward to seeing this cat in her final form. Thanks so much for the great work and fascinating 3d printing tricks!
Thank you. It will be a short while before I have the painting video ready, the last of my inital Tiger (RFM 5075) needs to be assembled first - all 3 share a lot of the same steps, so I don't want to repeat myself in the videos, building up on eachother instead.
Great job my friend!! Very detailed and informative. You have really outdone yourself. Looking forward to seeing it painted and weathered.
Thank you Rick!
An interesting builds Kia nice work on the conversions never seen that on a Tiger before will look forward to the next update
thank you Greg. It's such an iconic high quality photo in both Spielberger and Jentz book - most if not all Tiger kits are based on these books and still with tons of tiger kits at our disposal nobody made it as injection mold... Next up will be the RFM 5075 before switching over to finishing all them.
Amazing work on the vorpanzer Kai! That was a lot of work converting the old RFM Tiger. You must be very happy with how it turned out.
Thanks Bruce. I wanted this one for a long time - overall very happy aside from the stuff that could have been done better...
Fantastic work as always
Really enjoy all your projects
Immensely
Funny, my projects seem to mirror some of yours
Keep up the great work
You’re an inspiration
Looking forward to more
Thanks mate! I'll do my best.
It's amazing research. I know H1 V1. But I've never seen such fine part where you modified. Also, I learned a lot.
Thanks for sharing, Kai. Have good time and stay safe my friend. Best wishes, NOB
Thank you NOB. I wanted to make this vehicle for a long time now. Did learn a lot more about printing and designing over the past weeks and I'm growing by book shelf faster than my kit stash : ) Now it needs to do well in the painting phase.
Did this guy quit on his channel? shame really loved his insight and intelligent presentation. If he's doing this like every 3-4 months now? that's also terrible. too bad.
I'm still there, very busy atm - mostly active on Patreon designing stuff for 3dp. I'm back with a Hetzer Series and the rest of the Tiger stuff. Got 100GB of 4k Footage of the La Gleize King Tiger. Upgraded Camera and stuff - all I'm missing is time.
Honstely YT kicks back 10€ a month while eating a camera every year + 10 to 20h extra time to make a single fully edited and voiced over video... One editied or 2 vlog-style videos a month is about what I'm aiming for in the future.
Hi mate...Not seen any action from you in a while, hope everything is ok? I have however seen 3D printed tracks on bulldog models, saying they're licensed from Tankbrusher. I assume they are yours because they look amazing! 👍
I'm restocking content here atm. Attension went totaly into research and part design for 3dp and subsequently Patreon. I'm back soon with new content currently assembling 18 Jagdpanzer 38 and more important, fixing them.
Yep Bulldog Models licencend mine, there a lot of my designs currently entering the market by Bulldog, Tankraft and Elefant Corp. for example.
@@Tankbrusher that's excellent my friend..well done! Any In the pipeline for StuG.?
@@John_Sharrock StuG 0 to B is in the Vote list for Patreon on the 1st. of Feb. In case it get's chosen the topic would be up from May on. Atm till end of March it's Jagdpanzer 38 followed by a month of my choice (not StuG). Going for the long game here, research and design takes time : )
@@Tankbrusher no problem..I just ordered the Tiger 1 tracks.. I can wait for the StuG. 👍👍
What paint scheme will this have
Primer ?
Red oxide primer with 2 different base tones for each turret and hull. Distressing and light version of Wilder's style treatment to finish it up.
hello
hello : )
