About time we modernize the old Cap & Ball revolvers along these lines; doncha think? Run 'em on shotgun primers, designed for quick cylinder changes for fast reloads, double action, yunno, stuff like that.

I have one, purchased it a few years ago and I haven't hunted with it yet. It didn't come with a users guide. I had no idea how to get to the breech plug until I watched this video! Thank you for posting!

Muzzleloader guns can be bought over the counter with no back ground check and no paper work, the government say there not a fire arm so there not regulated, been muzzleloading for 30 years and I have bough many of them at walmart and other stores.

you can not use 209 primers. it uses #10 or #11 percussion caps. it will not shoot the pellets of powder, you have to use loose powder, 55 grains of eother pyrodex or 2f goex blackpowder. it will shoot the sabots very well. do not shoot roundball or plain lead bullets, rifle twist is to fast. fun to shoot and fairly accurate.

well thank you for your advice. The person I got it from used the pellets with no problem, but your advice is good to know. Thank you

Every website that sells them says they use 209 primers.

Or you can change the nipple to accept musket caps, before they stoped making the 6 petal musket caps that was a better alternative. I believe a . 44 Hornady hollow point 240 grain in a sabot is a very effective hunting projectile. 70 grains of loose black powder or substitute is the max recommended. Very accurate with a holographic red dot. Hit a coffee cup at 50 yards, but it's moving slow excellent snake gun too. 😁
They did make a newer version that used 209 primers but that one uses caps

    FFL not required in Arizona.

It's so funny that a rimfire 22 breach loading 1 shot 1" barreled pistol is illegal to buy without a background check and waiting period But you can get a black powder sawd off shotgun with a 6" barrel delivered to your door with no background check needed. Beyond me 😵‍💫

I just came across this video and wat he'd it because my buddy has the same gun. I was with him when he bought it at the sporting goods store. It's not regulated. He took it to the register paid and left with it. So it's not federaly regulated, maybe in the state your in, but not here. Anyway. Thanks for the video

Good video. You very clearly break down the pistol very well.
Yes indeed you will need a
    "Special Ankle Holster" indeed, Lol!
With all respect to you. regarding modern Inline Muzzleloading Pistols and Rifles legal status in the USA they are legally considered an antique the same as a traditional cap lock Muzzleloading pistol as per the Federal Law;GCS of 1968 and are mostly regulated by State Laws..
It also ignites with a Percussion Cap not with 209 primers.
The Buck Hunter Pro Pistol is an outstanding Muzzleloading hunting pistol, I use a Field Sport Micro Red Dot on mine. Along with my 240 and 255 grain VKV BG 456/460 Universal Bullets with Triple Seven and Black MZ powders.
If you want an effective hunting sabot, try my Universal Bullets they are very effective against medium and Big game in percussion revolvers, muzzleloading rifles and pistols, high powered air rifles and modern metalic cartridge rifles and handguns. Have been tested by noted authors videos can be seen here on You Tube.
Triple Seven is the better powder to use. Rubbing Alcohol is a good choice to clean up and in between after firing several shots. Pyrodex is very corrosive, more so than real black powder and requires lots of intensive cleaning afterwards, its best to avoid Pyrodex if possible. Other good powder choices are Black MZ or Super Powder by American Pioneer Powder.
Best Wishes ,Health and Speedy Recovery To You, May God Bless You Alan.

Thank you for the great information I am sure it will help a lot of my viewers. I was sure that inline muzzle loaders had to be in the bound book an a background check was required. I will check this as to keep out of trouble, I hope you are right. Thanks again for all the great info and I will let know you know what I find out. What you said makes sense to me so I may have it mixed up with some other law.

So I have been wanting to get one of these for years ( or the cva equivalent) but apparently they are discontinued. Does anyone else besides Thompson center make a muzzle loading handgun like this?
