Real shame that Clive Hornby fell victim to cancer as if he was still alive Jack would most likely still be in the show. Losing Jack was big for Emmerdale as they lost their only original character and Jack was perfect as their version of Ken Barlow/Ian Beale.
This reminds me of episode 1 in 1972 Robert watching like Jack watching his fathers funeral the opening of a he series. My mum watched it all those years ago and liked it.
Poor Diane she loved jack more than rodney i think 🤔 shes always been a great mum to Victoria jack would like that hed still be in the show if he hadn't died in real life 😢
Just like episode n.o 1. The widow telling the driver to be careful with the deceased. Eldest son watching from a distance. But this time a larger funeral crowd
When a US Soap Actor dies in "Real Life" they have to ask permission of The Family Of The Real Life Actor do acknowledge his death. When Michael Zaslow (Ex-Roger Thorpe) of Guiding Light died of Lou Gerig's Disease they didn't acknowledge his Death until several years later. He was "Sacked" from the Show and a lot of Fans were very angry. Does that happen in the UK.
laminage Not that I know of, they usually dedicate the next episode to the actor that passed away and show a picture of them at the end. I only really watch coronation street though and that’s what normally happens. If they died in real life when the character is still in the soap, they usually do it in the storyline as they died suddenly.

It's sad enough when a character is killed off because the actor has left the series but when the actor passes away its twice as sad..

I thought exactly the same thing actually, and it was probably deliberate.

Isn't it eerie. Jack is dead and in The Very First Episode Jack comes back for His Father's Funeral although he mourns from a distance.
you mean when Robert came back for his dads funeral
steph hunter no he means when jack came back for his fathers funeral which was the very first episode of emmerdale farm
This was the saddest Emmerdale death .

Doctor WHO Who yer he did it was a couple of years ago
Sadly enough yes. He was one of the longest running Characters on the Show.
