I have had this book on my TBR for forever, but you just convinced me to perhaps try to fit it in soon 👀 I loooooove a goo dslow burn romance. I am so tired of insta love 😭
you should try to fit it in!! also yes i'm tired of insta love. if there's romance within the first 30% of the book i'm like "i don't care anymore" haha
“I love yapping about books” me too. just. so me too. oh I didn’t know that this woven kingdom was completed, I thought it was still going on, which is why I haven’t started it lol so! shatter me was supposed to be a 3 book series. supposed to. author decided she didn’t wrap nearly enough up so the next 3 books are actually still in the exact same time/series/characters. it’s the next book that’s coming out this year that’s a later timeline. there’s also like 5 novellas, but I only read the last one bc it’s the epilogue (AND WAS FIFTEN DOLLARS FOR A WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING!!!!) ….well if you want more tension yearning and longing…. there’s always heartless…. that said they’re both immediately like “oh you seem interesting” but not in an insta love way just a “WHO ARE YOU WHY ARE YOU HERE” kind of way glad to hear you had a great experience with it! honestly it actually sounds better that it’s slower medium pace, shatter me just constantly sped up to the point that it was a little ridiculous at times, especially bc the author has a very easy/quick read writing style. so I’d be intrigued to see how this woven kingdom slows me down.
i'm like *pretty* sure it's a completed trilogy! ah gotcha on the next 3 books of shatter me! must've gotten it confused with the newer release. i know the later 3 books came out quite some time after the first 3 books of shatter me, so to me the first 3 books story arch felt pretty complete, so i'm not rushing to read the rest yet. i will read heartless one day!! just idk when yet haha. i think the slower pace definitely fit this woven kingdom so well! also the writing style was so much more expanded upon than the writing style in shatter me, which i personally loved because it made the world/setting feel so much more immersive!
@ if you’re satisfied with what you’ve read, def don’t rush into the next three. if I remember correctly 4/5 was pretty good, but but 6 was just suuuuper weird. ignite me is obvi the best book in the series so ending on it is truly the way to go hmm. I do have the physical copy of this woven kingdom so I may have to read it sooner rather than later and try to Libby request the rest. I’ve got so many books I’m in the middle of right now tho 😔
@ ok thanks for letting me know! also it didn’t help that my last library had very long wait times and kept on losing their licenses to the last 3 books so i gave up on reading them for a while haha. i feel that so much. definitely shouldn’t have requested this woven kingdom and the whole series on libby BUT glad that i did too at the same time 😌
