so as far as I know, assistant to the villains author started on TikTok. I do not believe she has any writing background (and it shows) but instead just a large fanbase who pushed her to release books. I could be mixing up authors but I’m pretty sure that was her. was it a good book? not by any means. however I enjoyed it bc I just shut my brain off and pretended it was from wattpad. that said it also took me weirdly long? same with the sequel. like a book that length I could usually read in one day if I’m not busy but I was definitely straggling over several days for both of them

I think the funniest thing about her fmc’s being tiny petite women is that Olive isn’t. She’s 5’8. By female standards, she’s quite tall. Adam is just THAT HUGE that she feels small. like what 😭 only Ali could get away with that

I think for Stephanie Garber specifically, her last books in the series always feel a little jumbled. Finale and ACFTL both had the same issue of it being clear she had a million other things she wanted to write about. ACFTL felt it much worse so, but it was clear in Finale she was excited for the new characters as well. So she keeps adding new plot points bc she wants to expand on them in the next series, while the readers just want to finish off strong with the current characters

i literally just flip around in the book until i remember what page i was on lol. that's why you always see my scan through my books or hear me draw out the "i'm on page...." agree with you on the last books in stephanie garber's series! ACFTL definitely had some unanswered questions, so not sure if those will ever be addressed with a future book, or if they will be left unaddressed!

I hope we get them addressed! or I would just love a holiday novella for evajacks so we can have some more fun with them sans Apollo

it’s a gorgeous color!!! my house is all redwood (well. fake redwood) or pine so I have to either match that or just go for solid white/black 😫 and unfortunately solid white is always the cheapest 😫😫😫😫

@@thebearslibraryoh yeah… my floors are bit more orange than what they show on camera, so the oak color doesn’t 100% go with it but it is what it is!

@ oh my God I never even thought about trying to match to the floor color. son of a- I’m never going to have the beauty and the beast style library of my dreams 😫 (but also I didn’t notice it at all! if it bothers you tho, you could get a runner rug so there’s a color gap between the woods which will make them seem more similar!)

i had to say because i’ve heard the opposite before!

i used to have to annotate for school and hated it because i was forced to. but now that i don’t have to do that anymore, i annotate books for fun. it honestly depends on the book if i end up annotating it or if i feel like doing so. it does help me remember plot points more and slows me to down to think about what i’m reading!

but also love the new shelves!!
