  • Paladins got a massive item store rework in the Wild Hoard update, and a lot of the items were instant hits! Some new items like Hoard and Trigger Scent have seen a lot of playtime, but one new item has been left in the dust - Bloodbath. Bloodbath is rarely picked up, but why? In this video, AndrewChicken explains what champions are best to use with Bloodbath, shares some useful strategies for this item, and also explains why it's not popular for most champions to buy.

The problem with making it immune to caut is that late game the item is doing more healing than most healers even if you do nerf the healing to even 100|100. Every elim is 600 health for the team no matter what. It would probably be too complicated but you could make it so only the person who has the item is immune to caut and then nerf the healing by half. Or make the person who got the kill immune. Either way works and has different benefits

  • @ishshah8695

To me reverting back to 'affected by caut' just kills the item, since you when you are killing an enemy 90% you are in a battle with them and they have procced caut on you. And since its 300 Credits base the most likely time you will have Lv3 is late into Round 2 if you rush the item, which by then Caut is most likely at least 70% just making the item less worthwhile to use.

I feel like bloodbath is really great on Grover, especially on. Onslaught. He’s constantly popping off extra heals

  • @ashzerodude

I've always got kill to heal on my healers, but currently I always grab it when I play dredge, or nessa when I go mines with distance increased, or grohk, etc etc. Blood bath heals you and whoever helped assist so I ~feel~ like it's really useful when I'm getting so many assists.

  • @rinothy

btw maelstrom grohk gets so much value out of this, i’m unironically a damage grohk main and the change post update is crazy with this item! you should give it a go if you haven’t already

  • @ivanluke3057

I found bloodbath to be most effective with Grover, Jenos, and Corvus (especially if your pocket buys reju). They absolutely need to reduce the price tho. You can't really rush it early cuz most supps need chronos first while the 2nd item usually for defense or morale boost. Bloodbath is only really good at lv2 and 3 and by the time you reached that point, its already late game where antiheal makes it negligible.

  • @SinnerBeta

I used the old version on Grover and Raum with global soul shard team healing, need to test this one one but I'm not sure it will be still as good on Raum now. 200+ hp true heal because someone killed someone somewhere on the map was great during a fight.

  • @tripleadog5868

tried it on raum and it was great, need to try it on corvas poketing a hypercarry for the super heals

  • @AllYourConcerns

Funnily enough i have found myself buying sentinel for the 450 shield even if enemy don't have slows or knockbacks, specially on flanks ( caspian, zhin, koga, buck..) And i still prefer it it may not be a 900 shield but it's so much better for late game since its unaffected by caut( anti-heal), don't buy it if enemy has more than one person with wrecker it will flop hard... Bloodbath is too expansive for an item that is useless mid to late game even said supports( jenos, grover, corvus, MP pip and so on) lower it's price and make so only half of the portion is effected by caut/anti heal, don't think a 450 uncaut heal with max tier will be broken but will make the item worthwhile

  • @125conman

Looking forward to trying it as Grover! (not a fan of playing Jenos)

  • @zoekid6143

i think it’s fine i had two matches where no one picked a healer but we all bought bloodbath by no means a substitute but it worked (always pick a healer)

  • @Mrowemr.pp2

I main lillith and I decided to try this a while back and its insane how no-one on my team dies with the ridiculous amount of healing I can output in combination with the burst heal I get from bloodbath

  • @djwh1te0ut68

I've been getting Bloodbath as my 3rd item with rei and its been fine, I know in a video you said she is a low elim healer but I think that really depends on playstyle because I average 40ish elims per match with her

  • @christianfuller7828

Also I feel like you should see about playing with kamivs or frostfangs

  • @Pilques

Get Bloodbath as a third of fourth item on: Grover, Jenos, Raum and Torvald (maybe?)

  • @Callmelilchip

Bloodbath + Sentinel + Raum Subjenvinte equals = Heal infinity

  • @BrambleJam

That is one of the only things I like more about ow2, having a new player join when another leaves

  • @flameHashira756

Its kinda good on IO. I don't find myself needing a lot of items so Bloodbath is kinda makes the most sense unless your going a more dps focused route. I just rush hoard and bloodbath and 2 defensive items (armor plate, unbound, Sentinel specifically against ASH, veteran and nimble) Arcane warding is probably the worst item in the game i feel 🤣

  • @terzaputra3203

Bloodbath isn't bad at all. The problem was just how good other items in comparison. Life rip are bonkers right now while haven and Veteran is kinda mandatory to buy.

  • @What-Hapen

What if you tried bloodbath on subservience Raum?
