the analysis about the colonial hangover was so spot-on. that's not just a pakistani problem though, and India overcame it by getting over the "spinning pitches bad" mindset. i'd think pakistan needs something similar.

No player is bigger than the game . The message has been delivered to the players now that they
will also think 200 times before forging grouping in the team. Also, kamran scored significant runs speak volume for giving form batters a run. Baber is a classic player but not in form . He needs to take rest and work on the things that went wrong. Moreover, i don't think there's any semblance of a bad thing dropping any player in middle of the series that has a bad run in recent years.

There has to be a separation and balance of powers not ONCE MORE having a few men make all the decisions. Excellent episode guys, as always, big fan here.
On ramiz raja though, old clip from 2018 where rambo is justifying the non selection of fawad alam for pak's tour to england for two test matches. the reason he gives is that 1) fawad alam does not have the technique, 2) fawad was not playing the PSL, 3) fawad had not spent enough time in the domestic FC, where he gives examples of players like hussey who had spent many year before getting picked. fawad was averaging more than 50, heck he was in the all time best FC average list from all over the world. he had made his FC debut in 2003, so he had already spent close to 15 years toiling and topping every batting chart in the domestic. not getting selected based on PSL is just wow (and amply confirms a legend's statement where he said that his 12 year old son knows more about cricket than ramiz). in my view khan sb really undid the good work that he did with the appointment of ehsan mani and wasim khan by appointing ramiz right after them.

Ahmar, please consider that Baber will never win you matches as he stats pads, every innings he plays is like a net session where he bats slowly to preserve his average. The momentumn of his innings never improves/fails to put pressure on the bowlers once he is set; a trait all A list batters have. Baber is not out of form, he just averaged the highest in the recent ODI Cup; his issue is that he has been 'found out' he can't play pace, the moving ball, the spinning ball or under any match pressure; the only supposedly match winning innings I have seen him.play was the 100 v NZ in 2019 WC, however even in that innings he played anchor and it was Haris Sohail who hit Santnar pit pf the attack and shifted the momentumn. Furthermore he fails to improve his batting and has been left behind due to his own arrogance.😊

Since his disastrous and damaging spell as PCB Chair has been unveiled and the specific impact on home pitches, I can't stand him. Home results give team a cushion when away results are poor so why tf would you screw up your team's chances of victory in this delusion about bettering Australia? Does any other team change their pitch dynamics specifically for other countries pitch conditions? Ahmer was spot on 👏🏽

i feel so seen listening to you guys. the tragedy of pakistan cricket is that it is one of the last solid outlets of pakistaniat left. one of the few things we feel proud of and claim. and we expect consistency emerge out of a system very much embedded in the same kafkaesque chaos that consumed the pakistani identity and consumes our lives. truly postmodern because there is nowhere for anger to go. talking about the pcb at a systemic level brings up all the same thoughts and helplessness we associate with the rest of our national condition. the pcb is not fucking up, it is working as intended. it just doesn't work for us or it's players. pakistan cricket will not be FIXED until pakistan is. when is that happening? players are visible and they suffer the weight of it all. by now we have all seen the script. they will look to keep this working and glorifying the way it works for as long as can be. when it doesn't, heads will roll again. literally how fascism distracts people from the problems capitalism creates by giving them an easy outlet. although I'm happy seeing us win, seeing babar go makes me angry beacuse these guys were supposed to be our golden generation. we mired them in a shitty system and politics, never gave them the resources, used them as propaganda for completely random ego stuff (rambo and babar), and discarded them when they inevitably didn't become what we never let them be. need a hug man.

You wanted a win? the whole country was crying for a win but we werent making the choices or game plans that would have let us win. So theek hai, they did what was needed to show you how to win. I dont see it as a danda - I see it as doing what was required to align pitch conditions with your 20 wkt taking bowlers. And let them show what they can do. Its not danda, its good cricketing sense. The people in management are themselves clueless about the talent / ability of fringe and domestic players. From chairman saying there is no one to replace the main players only for KG to come and score 100 and Ajju saying there are no spinners in Pak that can take 20 wickets , only for Sajid and Nouman taking 20 alone. People knowledgeble about cricketing pyramid should be running sports and not people who rely on trial and errors.

So let me get this right, we won the game but the big story is why Babar was dropped? i think that is where the issue is. Stop making fake idols out of players, no one is bigger than the game. • @BattaFast

It's not about idols it's about processes. Bad processes lead to bad results. What won the match was playing spinners on a sporting track.

@@BattaFast well its not "sporting" to play on a used pitch in the first place, so either we don't call it sporting or we don't complain about the process, there has to be consistency, both things were bad but need of the hour, desperate times call for desperate measures, no one is asking to replicate this, but take it as an exception to the rule and move on.

Ahmer had a very good point about why we should disrespect the kind of conditions we have here and the type of cricket that we play in these environments? why should we try and be someone else? I want to elaborate on this point and go a step further... If Im not wrong, Pindi used to be a seaming and sporting surface where there was something for everybody, the faster men on first two days and then the spinners and batters would come into play... Same used to be the case with Karachi where the fast men would often get help specially on day one atleast if not more... Yes we have had absolute batting paradises in Karachi as well but apart from that we have had surfaces where every cricketing skill have had a role to play. Is it not possible that we have different kind of tracks in different grounds around the country similar to Australia lets say where there`s pace and bounce in Perth, spin in Sydney and seam and bounce in Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane etc... Why do we have to try and make similar surfaces all across the country? Again I don`t want to sound like Ramiz`s colonial complexed commentary that we should be blindly following Australia but I want to highlight that by having unique playing surfaces across the country, our cricket is only going to grow as our international and domestic cricket will be played in challenging environment rather than a docile conservative environment.

Guys, look at Carse? A Durham lad whose tall and strong. He bowled line & length at 135-140 kph. Got a few to seam both in and out. This is what is required on spinning, dead pitches. Wasim, Asif, Amir, Waqar & especially Shoaib made the ball talk. This is what class pacers do. Where have they all gone? Perhaps been murdered by T20 cricket.

But what is our winning formula? Isn’t this our best bet against SENA teams? Shouldn’t we stick with this approach now that finally we have a workable formula? Sure we can tweak a bit, replace Zahid with a pacer who can reverse.

Coming in as a foreign coach (or even a local one) would you expect Shaheen and Naseem to be dogshit in all the games they played? Or that half the batters wont fire (Babar se le ker Rizwan tak)? So Gillespie x Shan relied on the template they had and the reputations they had to work with. We keep making the same mistakes over and over again, and in the past 3 years of uncertainty over Pakistan cricket, our impetus was to get angraiz coaches and an angraizi speaking captain to save us from ourselves. The lack of self respect in this whole paradigm is truly heartbreaking.

Come for cricket analysis, stay for Ahmer Bhai's Ta-Nehisi Coates 'Between the World and Me' (peak Obama era) analogy ❤

Usman Samiuddin saying Rizwan is the best keeper? Dhoni vibes?
Life may ye bhi sunna tha.
Banda har grab par uchalta hai aur jan nick hota hai tu dunia ko maloom hojata hai magar rizwan kandhay uchka deta hai.

Sometimes I really start to question Ahmer's sexuality
From calling Naseem shah hot in PSL to Fapping on Ben stokes, Every once in a while some hot dude seems to get his attraction
    Very shady guys 😵‍💫💀
