Great reaction, Logan. I agree with you a hundred percent. I also find this season finale appropriate and a satisfying conclusion. They bring back the theme that family is the one that can help redeem you. Just like Sam and Dean helped each other and have each bring the other back when the other went off the rails, when push comes to shove, every single time.
I don't care about the explosive or tragic ending, we had that for so many seasons already. This is different and suited its time thematically.
What you talked about at the end there is I think is called The Chekhov's Gun, I believe? They show some details, then it paid off in or by the last act.
Yes, they show the grave of Mary Winchester. But I think you missed where Amara found Mary's photo, her and when Dean was a small boy when Amara broke into the bunker and into Dean's room. They gave her a tight zoom into her face, and she made some sort of reaction while looking at it. That's the first clue. Then only the graveyard scene, which is the second clue.
I envy you your shocked reaction when you recognize that it was Mary at the end. I was spoiled about her return. There was a photo of her trailer on set, with the name Mary Winchester on the door, on tumblr at that time. And I felt like crying when they showed the clues as I knew already that she was gonna be back, just not in what context. I would love to have to experience the shock of seeing the ending, but people on tumblr are relentless about showing spoiler photos.

I've always felt like this show has three main arcs, seasons 1 to 5 were leading up to that final showdown with Lucifer, 6 to 11 were the lead up to the fight with God's Sister, and then 12 to 15 we have the final arc. Seasons 6 and 7 were a bit muddled, with weaker opponents, becuse they have to start almost from scratch, but I think they learned, and so 12 starts slow, but things start to get good in the later half. Hope you enjoy the final four seasons.
British men of letters arc was pretty bad. top 3 worse seasons.

This was my favourite season of Supernatural.

It always seemed to me that this was the other natural ending point for supernatural, just like season 5 was a natural ending point. Seasons 12-15 weren't really necessary.

One of the best season finales (8 is my favorite). It is all about the two brothers and their found family. How their combine efforts are what's important and is the heart of the show.

well amara is like the root of all darkness killing her would bring the world out of balence i believe they mentioned that in the season its been awhile since i saw season 11 but i think if you kill her darkness would gain a foothold and become more powerful or something like that
yeah this was a different season finale, nobody was expecting this for the better or for worse, but after 11 season a little change is good
I really loved this season finale. This whole series has been centering on the importance of family so that's why i found this ending very fitting. Also, Amara is a great character so i wouldn't like it if the ending was the typical "huge battle and beat the bad guy" stuff cause i want her to get resolution with her brother

Too bad the last 2 seasons ruined this ending for me. Also ruined the Don't Call Me Shurley episode which is the best episode of Supernatural in my opinion

No one thought to give the most powerful femalecharacter ever on this show more than one polyester 70s prom dress that dragged the ground for half a season. Even Rowena didn't re-wardrobe her while healing her.

Love rewatching these episodes love reaction to them lol. I love reruns like Lucifer later says everyone always wants another stale rerun after rerun after rerun. All the same stuff. People don't like new stuff lol just same old thing lol. That's not necessarily true some people like new stuff like Halloween ends lol. Doing new stuff taking story in unexpected direction lol but still in same universe still telling same story like others lol. Its still about evil and how it moves and influences people but in others that story is more background plays into it here and there but in Halloween ends takes center stage. People put too much into it being the end of franchise and all that. We know its not lol. There'll be more coming lol. They'll bring Michael back a younger stronger Michael maybe lol. Like chuck said though endings are tough so give them a break lol..no matter what you do fans will complain that'll be holes lol. Endings pain in the butt but like he said nothing really truly ends right lol. Same with ha!loween franchise its never going to end just going to rest a while like tommy said in Halloween six lol. You can't destroy it lol. Love your song lol. Love this story and the complexities in it lol. Looking at each scene and thinking about past seasons future seasons lol. So cool hoe they did everything in this show lol.

I don’t know who’s all gonna agree with me but I feel that after this episode supernatural took a nosedive Jeremy carver left Andrew dabb took over and I hated season 12 season 13 had its moments but not enough for me to like it season 14 was lacking substance and season 15 started off great and then the pandemic happened and the writing felt off I the finale is fine but the episode prior to it felt like the real ending (I’m not bringing up plot details I don’t want to spoil anything for simple reactions) but bottom line once Jeremy carver departed supernatural lost it’s lustre in my opinion I know everyone says it lost it’s lustre after season 5 but tbh I liked the seasons after season 5 The seasons after season 11 eh not so much it also didn’t help that they moved supernatural to Thursdays and I go to hockey games on Thursdays and the hockey games are at 7:00 around the same time the episode starts so basically I was put in a situation where I lose either way because I love going to hockey games but I love watching supernatural so I had to choose and I went with hockey games I hated this move to Thursdays but yeah not a big fan of supernatural after season 11

I agree to the story lines of those seasons.. but every episode has moments of magic.. even if it's a face someone made. The actors make up for the underwhelming story lines..imho.
I thought it lost a lot at the end of season 12.. because of the loss of one character.
re spoilery.. SR said a few eps back that he's wrapped on Spn now.. just keeping to the release schedule. I still avoid spoilers in case someone is watching on this schedule. I swear, fandom exploded when the lockdowns began.

Ok bye logan. It has been an amazing ride. Sitting and watching supernatural till this season. Im sry i didn't like any season after this so i stopped watching this show at the middle of season 12. So i always consider this season as the ending of the show. It was great watching and reliving this show with u. Im also watchinh other shows u react to but for supernatural reactions. I have to say goodbye. Im so glad u enjoy this show as much as i do😇

If i stopped watching because of 12 bad episodes, I’d have stopped watching before season 5 probably.

I think Ryan is talking about when you talk about stuff not pertaining to what’s happening on the show.. like when you go off on a tangent about where you’ve seen a certain actor.. sometimes you miss important moments in the show when you do that and that can be frustrating to your audience because we do come to watch your reaction to every moment of the show that we know and love.. I also think you shouldn’t drink alcohol while reacting to any show.. it makes your reactions nothing but silly and goofy.. especially during really emotional moments.. doing these videos is like your job and you wouldn’t drink while working anywhere else, right? For me, it just really cheapens your reactions.. this is just my opinion and I don’t mean any disrespect.. I’m just giving my feedback.. I think you and Chloe are great and fun to watch.. what I’ve said here is just some constructive criticism.. I hope I haven’t upset you or anyone else.
