i am SO relieved to find a tutorial video where its not made of leather - and require hundreds of monies of tools before i can even try! Urgh. SO simple and better fitting I hope! Thankyou - this is EXACTLY what i was after!
The way you explain is so nice and understandable! I loved your video, I have been looking for something I can make from the stuff at home AND look this good. Thank you
It is amazing that you can make such a polished beautiful piece........out of ordinary materials! You are very gifted! Plus I adore the decor in the room at the beginning of the video :)
Amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your technique. I've had in mind a plague mask for an 18" doll (American Girl), working it out in my mind how it would come together. Now I can just downsize your instructions and I think I can make it happen. Likely a next year project, though. :(
@sheilaguthrie4525 oh that's awesome, l made that mask small for the plague doctors crow, turned out great. I hope you get around to making it next Halloween 🎃
Congratulations Monika, you are amusing!!! Your talent is fantastic! Please, use your imagination and your creativity,to express your gift for making all kind of interesting things, please!!! Good luck with everything❤⚘❤
Hi Monika, I made this gorgeous mask for Halloween this year, and it was a blast! I couldn't have done it without your step by step tutorial, thank you so much! Now that Halloween is over I want to hang it up in my room as decoration, but I'm afraid that the acrylic paint will wear off as time goes by. Do you have any tips as to preserving the artwork? I'm thinking about spraying it with clear spray paint. Thanks again
I am thrilled you made your own mask! I protect my pieces with an exterior/interior varnish, just in case you get caught in a rain storm and that hopefully will protect against the ravages of time. thank you so much for sharing your success!
I have to say: congratulations, this is beautiful and outstanding, im from Mexico and was looking for this, how to make this. Thank you. I only have one question. What was the pink material ? The one you used to cover the peak
Welcome my new friend form Mexico! I am glad you find the video useful. The pink material is Paper Clay (I used some red paper, hence the pink color) I have a couple of paper clay DIY videos on my channel. please ask away if you need help with the project. thank you so much for watching
Wow this is fantastic. I was looking for a video of how to make a mask and this was perfect! But I had a small problem with the paper clay , do you know a good recepie?
Hello Zoe, l made a video how to make paper clay with 3 simple ingredients a while back. You will find it on my channel, l don’t have that many videos yet. Wish you happy crafting and let me know how it went. 😃

@@wickedaviary Not to worry, Avie, you're not late. All vaxxed up & nowhere to go, I'm thinking to sidestep the inevitable Polar Vortex (I'm in northern Minnesota, USA) & fly the coop after what? almost 2 years of lockdown, social distancing, public panic attacks (this is America...), obsessive hand washing, etc. & was wondering if your Plague Bird masks can be constructed to be functional -- that is, rather than merely provide a focal point for close historical meditation, can also be worn safely through an airport Customs, onto airline flights, in public places, etc -- basicly to fulfill whatever masking requirements are imposed at wherever destination I might find myself happily anxious to disembark. I suppose one could simply fit your Plague Doctor design over the generic "Now open wide & say, "ahhh..." variety, but that seems to fly in the face of expressing peoples' newfound sense of release and liberty. Not to mention, where to tuck the fragrant herbs and aromatics? Anyway, Avie, I'm nattering. Keep up the good work & the best of luck to Wicked Aviary. achara -- MJS .
