- Free Pattern on wickedaviary.com this is a perfect last minute project, get a cereal box, masking tape, wire, mod podge and an old t-shirt and you are all ready to make a simple yet awesome mask.
The "wrinkles" and the dry brush paint give the impression that this is the face of some creature, something organic, not the plague doctor's mask. The effect is amazing! I'm going to try this with a brown-ish dry brush paint to see what I can get.

I'm glad I found this. I'm going to my first Ren fair next weekend, and since I have a suitable hat and coat from last year's Halloween costume already, I decided to go as a plague doctor.

This looks really cool. However I'm considering using black construction paper (something shiny if i can find it for a patent leather look) and like doing some stiches on the beak curve for a less sophisticated look.😅

I will try this version. I did not do well with the foil. A girl can never have to many plague Dr masks.
Yes l agree 🤣! This is a lot simpler than the aluminum foil version, l surprised myself 😃let me know how it goes.
What size paper should i print the outlines on? Thank you gor the awesome tutorial!
I am always using the standard size A4 regular sized paper and if needed, depending on the pattern, paste it together as indicated. Let me know if you have any more questions.

what kind of paint are u using?
For regular paintI get the small sampler at home depot, l get the color l want for a good price. The metallic paint for accents are by Rust-oleum all paints water based.
