YPD Respond to Shots Fired at a Shopping Mall Parking Lot

Yakima police responded to a shots fired incident in a shopping mall parking lot last night. They found one juvenile, named Landynn Lewis, injured from gunfire in what is believed to be a gang-related incident.
Police received calls shortly after 7 p.m. on Monday.
Court documents say a vehicle with 6 juveniles, driven by Lewis, was in the parking lot waiting for pizza. Then the suspect Angel Cristo Ayala, and one other person, drove into the lot and exited his vehicle.
Lewis then drove his vehicle around the lot, making several turns, when he drove past the suspect. Ayala pulled out a gun and shot at the Jeep that crashed inside the lot.
