@@theShermanator It really is I had some fun playing the Training mission in the beta but I am terrible at flying 😂 I hope to try QRF and Cashpoint at some point.
I've seen a video of a Mod back in 2018 or even earlier that did firefighting with aircraft & heli's. Done by some French dude called Cheyenne. It looked kinda fun.
Holy Shit! This CDLC is actually amazing in terms of the weapon systems their adding it's worth the price tag alone... I love the fact that the VAMPYR system is being added as well as the AMOS mortar system. That alone is worht the price in my opinion but you get so much more! I can't wait definitely getting it!
@theShermanator yeah it's actually a really cool system. The Fat Electrician has a really good review on it on UA-cam. Definitely worth the watch if it's something that interests you.
I hope the wildfire mechanic is done well. Would be cool to set up a sort of survival escape the island scenario except instead of just milling about the island, you have a massive wildfire constantly encroaching on your position, forcing you into situations that you might've tried to avoid in a normal escape the island scenario.
The wildfire module isn't that complex. It basically just allows you to set an area, size, and intensity, and then use the helibucket to drop water on it. A skilled mission creator can of course do more with it, but we intentionally didn't blow it up in scope since often less is more (especially in a game engine where you really have to watch out for the amount of particles you use).
Man, this gives me a lot of chills …. Like 10 years ago I already played ARMA 3. And it was a great time with my friends and colleagues. Of course, with age, you get different interests or work etc. so as me, and many people. Sadly I don’t have the time anymore for this. But man. This video gives me a hell of nostalgia…!
Same, I was maybe disappointed somewhat initially, and I think a new map would be GREAT (even if small 4x4, 5x5) but for what the price is, there is a good amount of stuff inside
missed opportunity to add an amphibious seaplane water bomber as a civilian aircraft, will be interesting to see how these new mechanics will be used in the future
As a recon/tech guy in my unit i'm REALLY hyped about those new GL munitions, after the armed drones that came with the Sahara DLC now i finally have something new to mess around with.
I bought Arma 3 way back in 2013-14 on a sale but i didnt have a PC with the specs. In 2015 i built my pc that was able to play it. Now I have +4000 hours over the last 9 years 🤯 This dwarfs the playtime to some of my other games I've had for much longer. The second highest is somewhere around 2000 hours and I think that's Napoleon Total War. Proof Mods keeps games alive
Some things of note + my thoughts: 2:27 Kinda think a modern HiLux would be a better choice, but I'm not complaining. 2:43 I'm definitely gonna load a lot of these on one of those modded cargo ships. Also, looks like it'll be moved! 2:58 Even with this, I'm still not gonna stop using the iMortar mod because there's way more ammo types for mortars in there. 3:17 lol, also I'll DEFINITELY use this a lot. 4:02 I seem to recall seeing a sniper like this before, but can't remember the name! I still think something like the Q Fix would have been a better option however given the 2035 setting. 4:17 It IS an ASh-12 funny enough, and it's not just from Tarkov. It's a real gun. Recently TsKIB, the guys who make the ASh-12, changed the name of the ASh-12 to the ShAK-12 because, well, why not? It's also used by the FSB (Russian equivalent to the FBI HRT...without the rescuing hostages bit) 4:56 We get a vanilla Altyn, yet afaik there is not a single mod or DLC on Arma that has a LShZ 1+. Kinda sad about that.
The fires just makes me want to relive my childhood of playing SimCopter, I hope someone makes a whole dynamic rescue op mode, give me ability when not putting out fires to go rescue trapped hikers, or airlift people to hospital. I would put 1000's of hours in it.
@@theShermanator i think he means that it should be vanilla like the other official Bohemia made dlcs, and not an optionnal dlc that you have to activate like a mod in the launcher. I must agree, it sucks to have such cool weapon systems and not be able to use them in vanilla official servers or with friend that do not own the dlc
Reaction Forces and Sahara equipments and vehicles should be added in base game, like Contact. But not the mechanics, cause it could bring bugs to a lot of servers
The general idea behind allowing the community to sell their mods/DLCs is not bad by itself, the problem is where Bohemia is spending their revenue. ArmA Reforger is WAY behind the schedule and we know nothing about ArmA4 out of them being developing the game.
I've been watching arma content for a while but don't play, I thought this was the perfect time to get a pc and try it out myself. Does anyone know a decent spec pc that could run arma/ squad for less than a $1000? I would be grateful for any help
Hot take, CDLCs shouldn't be stuck behind a weird launching system and should be processed the same as normal dlcs. Why do you think almost no one uses the dlcs anymore when the modding community exists.
True and if there are special mechanics behind them, why not have the option to load them up similar to Contact DLC where it has a specialized version of the game
if this was a mod it'd be great I'm kinda glad that various teams get some monetary assistance .. but at what point is this going to turn into milking the community for content? It's a little excessive by now... when was the last time the Bohemia team actually made a DLC? Most we've got is reforger which certainly has it's issues and a very low player count. CDLC seems like a bit of a bethesda move and they walk a fine line between supporting creators and milking paid mods...
Know what, these DLCs are always overpriced junk tbh….like, I bought Vietnam and hardly ever played it. Didn’t like it anymore than unsung. Then I bought the global escalation, I bought the contact dlc, I bought the WW2 DLC. And I’ve never been able to find a single good server for any of them. All they’re good for really is editor, but even that’s unnecessary when you realise they’re free mods with the same stuff. You’re gonna buy the DLC, people will play it for acouple weeks, then it will die life their other 50 DLCs
I'm really looking forward to release and the wildfire and firefighting scenarios are going to be so much fun.
Its a very different way to play Arma, I dig the idea
@@theShermanator It really is I had some fun playing the Training mission in the beta but I am terrible at flying 😂 I hope to try QRF and Cashpoint at some point.
Honestly this is fantastic and shows that ARMA 3 though aging is still one of the most versatile games out there.
Agreed, Im really excited to see this

SCMod?

Life changes, but Arma doesn't or well, sort of haha

This DLC looks way better than I had originally thought. Looking forward to it now.

Ok this is sick, the fact that a full recon AND mortar team can now be done by 1 dude is amazing,
yes!

Bro this looks so cool. Definitely a must-have for more mercenary themed scenarios. The 40mm GL drone is just… WHAT?! That’s so cool!

I am aware the ASH 12 is real, its just what I immediately saw haha
Also there are definitely LShZ mods but they mostly arent "legit" content
@@theShermanator Yeah, meant outside of that and private mods lol. Really hope CUP or RHS does add a modern Spetsnaz faction of some sort tbh lol
2:27 it actually looks closer to a current model of the Ford ranger ngl, when I saw the front I immediately thought of Ford or Dodge
Alpha Group Equipment mod has the LSHZ helmet

Arma 4 will be ultimate gaming experience
I think so
0:52 I just noticed that sign, didn't when I last was on the map but is this a delta green Easter egg?
ha it might
That way you can have all the dlcs and actually use your gear on altis. Meanwhile people who don't have the dlcs you can still play with😊
yeah its a good way to do that but a new map is cool too
since Reaction Forces is now out im hoping we get a WW1 inspired DLC since we have a WW2 one already.
we can pray the vics for the fire stuff comes with the DLC
I think so?
Any release date set?
This CDLC should be a part of the vanila game, same with Western Sahara as it adds to 2035 settings.
Getting people to do work for free 10 years after a game release is gonna be hard if that's what you meant to say

Oh I see, well you can always use them in private servers with your friend using the free COMPAT mod@@keryann8911

beauty of the COMPAT mod which will allow you to do some basic testing for sure

would be great if rotator collective add a 6b45 vest to specnatz....😁
RHS and other mods like CUP have those though - I do wish the Russians were more fleshed out in Vanilla than they are
Is this going to be like all the others where they stand alone or addition to the game like apex
They are more stand alone like Western Sahara
@@theShermanator stupid as all hell
Now I can fight fires
Man they should add all 2035 CDLCs into vanilla Arma 3 alot of active Vanilla servers would be more active if they added these assets into Vanilla
I agree but it sadly wont go that way

I think at a $1000 it might be rough, but im not a pc expert
You can do it with that budget. Today's parts are better much better for arma than when it first came out. Use pc part picker.
Anyone else want a revamp of altis or is it just me
There is a cool Altis mod with more trees and stuff: Try Project Mediterranean 2
@@theShermanator Il check it out thanks so much dude
