Thanks for watching everyone! I had to take-down and fix something from yesterday's launch so apologies for that. Please comment again :)
I thought I'd been hallucinating when I went back to look for this video and it had disappeared! Glad it's back so I can watch
@@RAS15714 welcome back :)
Glad it's back up. I saved it to watch over breakfast and was puzzled when it wasn't there anymore.
great to see it up again! I saved the original on 'watch later' but then it disappeared
Paul, the fact that you are so humble and a nice person gives you all the class you need, you don’t have to be wealthy. I would rather watch somebody like yourself being able to experience and show these amazing cabins rather than someone who was less grateful.
Me on my wizzair mid seat fully booked flight with a baby crying non stop, watching you moan about your xpress coffee in JAL first class...lol
😂
😂
Fantastic stuff mate, the width of the seat is truly fantastic!
Loved the colour scheme, amazing overview 🎉
Thanks a ton!
Very nice trip report Paul. Seat, food and booze looked amazing. Always like your reviews and quirky sense of humour.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@PaulStewartAviation oh forgot, the service looked great too!
you look very happy on that Flight lol , thx for review !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course, Japan Airlines is the best. No BS.
yep
OMG! Stunning! Really perfect product!
I think will get new standard in first! Great!! Which routes running??
Just hnd and jfk now :)
@@PaulStewartAviation thanks Paul!
As enjoyable as always Paul! Loving all of the details.
Cheers
wow. talk about travelling in style. great video Paul thank you.
Thanks!
I am hereby declaring my engagement to help the UA-cam algorithm. You’re welcome Paul.
Cheers :)
WHAT AN EXQUISITE VIDEO! The new JAL A350-1000 looks ABSOLUTELY STUNNING in First Class! 🤩 I thought your JAL A350-1000 Biz Class review and seat looked amazing but First class is just a whole different level!
Also at 2:09 I remember the last time you mentioned the JAL B2707 (that was never made) on your First Class review of the former flagship B777-300ER shows how old a subscriber I am! 😅 EVERYTHING FROM THE LOUNGE, THE SUITE, THE FOOD & THE VIEWS AND MASSIVE WINDOWS LOOK EXQUISITE! 🤯
I hope to fly the new JAL A350-1000 or any JAL aircraft someday but as I mentioned in your Business Class review it, and this First Class video are simply dreams of mine as I will NEVER AFFORD either well, at least until my channel brings in some money! 😂 🤑 Also as cool as an A350 or B777 is I still miss the former Flagship JAL B747s! 😢
Also what INCREDIBLE views at 5:42 as an Avgeek I’d be here all day! However, I’d say the first large jet (large being a wide body) that proved you only needed 2 engines not 3 or 4 goes to Airbus and the twin engined A300 program as it was the first twin engined wide body and at the same time the Boeing 767 it’s closest competitor! Don’t you agree?? Plus before the B777 JAL flew the A300 and B767 that they still fly (the B767-300ER)
Also at 7:15 another false statement even though the Airbus A350 was the first Airbus to use carbon fiber so much throughout the plane it’s grandfather the A300 used carbon fiber composites in its construction in the 1970s on its vertical stabilizer (tail fin) horizontal stabilizers, wings and engines just not much fuse lodge like the A330neo and A350 have done. In fact when American Airlines Flight 587 crashed outside of Rockaway in New York City (after departing JFK) in November of 2001, NTSB investigators were concerned that the carbon fiber construction may have contributed to the fatal accident. In the end both the new pilot and the A300’s rudder construction made of carbon fibers were blamed and safety by Airbus and training was very much improved after that but it just shows that the Airbus jets since the A300 have used carbon fibers in at least some of their construction. 😅😂
What a SPECTACULAR Video one of your best ever I certainly think, but I’m biased and love any JAL video or A350 video! “ Wishing You Blue Skies & Tailwinds” my friend!
Cheers again mate! 🥂

this was great Paul! Ive missed your flight review vids!!
Glad you like them!
Excited!!!
cheers!
Great video Paul really enjoyed it the suite looked fantastic
Glad you enjoyed it
Brilliant video Paul 10/10 ❤
Cheers!
This as usual looks amazing
It was!
Fantastic quality!
Many thanks!
What a lovely seat!!!!! JAL is certainly an amazing airline to fly with even in economy. I do agree their IFE is lacking. But other than that they are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Agreed IFE content is average, but otherwise brilliant!
…and… the JAL crew are wonderful (mostly) no matter what class you’re flying in 👌
Agreed
Paul, your choice of background music for your video is spot on and your content is very good. Many thanks for highlighting the drawbacks of this JAL product.👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I agree! Great music in this one! I don't think I've heard it in Paul's videos before??
yes new music :)
Snap.... I was just looking at booking the JL A350 first class! But the domestic version. Hehehe... I'm looking forward to these Japanese lounges purely because of the food.
The international first class is absolutely stunning though. That's a lot of seat real estate for one person!
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Good on you for correcting. I’ve rewatched and liked to support this new upload, keep up the good work, love it!
cheers! Was it you who picked up the original problem? I lost the comment when the previous video was deleted.
@@PaulStewartAviationyep that was me!Kudos for taking the time to correct the video, that has to be painful. I rewatched and liked to boost back up. Keep up the great videos!
@@jb4558 cheers thanks for letting me know. As I replied to your post, with context, the comments weren't as bad as they looked but I knew I'd have to get rid of that before some tabloid found it.
@@PaulStewartAviation Everything can be taken out of context so easy. Tough world to be putting yourself out there. Nothing but respect!
A great follow-up from your JAL business class! They look quite similar?
Regarding the wifi speed, from what I know, all Airbus 350 series aircraft for all airliners use same satellite communication devices for data transfer with no difference between them. With coverage in region internet speed may vary and also internet connection policy per airliner (in terms of connections shared with others).
ah yes good to know
Wow. Bucket list.
you definitely should add it!
I booked this same seat 2A for upcoming flight... thanks for the nice review :)
Enjoy my friend! I'm flying it again later this week, but in 6A :)
I believe that I am going to have to buy you some appropriate MATCHING socks for Christmas 🤣😂
haha
That looks like an amazing seat! Thanks Paul for sharing the journey with us! Loved the plane spotting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just flew the original First Class by JAL from Chicago to Tokyo. Amazing. Looking forward to flying the new First Class in the near future. Thanks for this great video.
you're welcome! yes I did this same route several years ago and had a blast but this seat is soooooo much better
Again, great review Paul :D take 2 😂
Thanks again!
You have such a gilded life Paul - gallivanting around the world first class, getting your RM Williams (which I also wear as a card-carrying Aussie!) buffed. Living the life of Riley!
haha cheers
Thanks for a great video as usual Paul…heading to Japan in December, seriously considering JAL or QANTAS , this helps….😀
Cheers! Oh, if the question is JAL or QF First Class then JAL is a no-brainer. The A350 first class is vastly superior to Qantas A380.
Beautiful shots of that gorgeous Rolls Royce Trent engine 👌
Cheers, yes! It was a beautiful view just after sunrise! I’m disappointed my return flight will all be during the day so no sunset or rise, although hopefully we get a nice view of alaska
@@PaulStewartAviation I’m sure you’ll find the perfect shot mate 👌I’m a new subscriber and I’m enjoying adding your content to my Avgeek obsession 🙏
@@brucewatt1032 welcome :)
19:24 - JAL only has dimmable windows on first and business class seats. Economy and premium economy still have the classic window shades so they won't have any issues with the sun
oh good to know!
This was an epic adventure! What a beautiful product. Thanks for the journey!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great flight review video Paul
Great review Paul. But one thing that I can't seem to get over is the weird seat covering. Looks like something you'd find in a retirement home. I'm sure the food and service was excellent. But I still can't believe they chose that seat covering. 😅
cheers!
i feel like im getting some dejavu, anyways, it was good to hear your thoughs on my first comment last video haha
Cheers!
Lets see if the corrections are noticeable. I doubt I'll find it.
:) it’s obscure but bugged me. Thanks for watching again :)
A great comprehensive review Paul! I saw Trek's review a few weeks ago and it was very brief!
Glad you liked it!
I have no class either but hey, i'll take the seat :)
Haha
much better than your first jal first class review!
Glad you think so!
Great comprehensive review as always! Love the long reviews
Cheers, glad to hear!
Great video Paul. Any idea if these A350s will be on the Sydney-Tokyo route?
Hard to know if there is the demand. I see syd-hnd has just been upsized to the 777 from the 789 although that may just be seasonal. I was on a flight from syd last month and it wasnt very full. But i’d love to see it fly that route.
Beautiful Air Craft And Cabin.Great Video And Info
Thanks for watching
Wow! For someone who doesn’t drink alcohol I am astonished that you can drink that much in just one flight ✈️
it was over 14hrs
@@PaulStewartAviation no problem mate! Probably normal for someone who like to drink. Nice review btw!
Full takeoff video now posted on my 2nd channel: ua-cam.com/video/_QlJYrueZ-k/v-deo.html
Enjoyed this! I hope to fly one of their Sky Suites someday.
You should!
Take two 😂
I must have commented on the last video just as it got taken down lol.
thanks for commenting again :)
GREAT REVIEW BRO! JAL is a great airline as well ❤ Happy you were able to enjoy the first class experience!😊
Thanks a ton!
I do enjoy this videos. I can live vicariously through the journey without the airport experience or the costs!
Glad you like them!
Hi Paul, thank you for an honest review. May I ask how would you compare it with Emirates 1st class?
EK is hard to beat. I think JL’s seat is better but EK’s food might win.
@@PaulStewartAviation Thank you for your answer
Have you seen your long lost brother but why was the previous video removed
I made an error :)
Paul, I have been to Haneda and the F lounge several times over the last year and have never been able to find the other bar and the sushi restaurant. I have been in the lounge peak early and peak late - where are they??
When you're walking into the lounge you need to turn left (well after you check in at the desk on the right). If you keeping going right then you head down that corridor and into The Table
Neat really 2024 and excellent Japan! Wonderful products keep advancing. Lucky fortunate You.
I agree :)
Flying it in December. Review only heightened my excitement. Well done!
Enjoy!!
Great video as always Paul. Just flew Qantas business Syd - Lax and it was lacking in so many ways. From the lounge at Sydney which was extremely average except for the tarmac views, the boarding process, the waiting time before getting a drink after take off, the standard of booze in business (it's the same as premium economy) the food which was not great ( just did Qatar economy Melb to Athens and the food was more enjoyable and TASTY oh and very importantly the Qantas seat mattress/cover is so thin and does very little in terms of support and comfort. The JAL product looks amazing and far superior to Qantas in every aspect. Apologies I know this is more relevant on your return JAL business trip but what are your thoughts on JAL v Qantas first product ?
Cheers Andrew. Qantas first is not great... it's a nice mattress and a very spacious seat but otherwise it's quite average.
@@PaulStewartAviation I think I speak for all Aussies when I say I love Qantas and everything it stands for but with only minor changes it can go from a good airline to a great one
Did Rolls-Royce ever fix the defective blade problem on their Trent 1000 engines that go on the a350?
that's a worry??
Can you bring a person from economy up to your suite mid flight?
I guess you could.
@@PaulStewartAviation many airlines have policies not allowing economy passengers in the business/first section mid flight i.e. ANA.
@@LebronCCP interesting, I didnt know that. I guess it causes confusion with the food/drink they’re entitled to
Might’ve been one of the best made trip reports I’ve ever seen on UA-cam…and I’ve probably watched hundreds!
Cheers! Why do you say that? I’m always keen for feedback.
@@PaulStewartAviation yeah sure!
I’ll do a list:
1.) Professional/high quality footage
2.) layout of the video makes sense
3.) the speech delivery was clear and with a great use of vocabulary (Not just saying “this is bad/good” 27 times). Additionally, the speech chosen was professional and didn’t sound negative even if some aspects weren’t to your liking.
4.) very attentive to details of the product. Lots of other videos might skimp on various parts of the report
5.) well edited
Overall I literally felt like I was there participating in the experience. Other channels can do most of these but this one tackled everything really well. The quality was outstanding.
As a side note I’ll be heading down under in the next few weeks…super stoked to go visit your home country again!
@@ryanc4955 cheers!
Bro you need to get a suit man🎉🎉
meh I hate ironing
Paul I watched them in the wrong order lol 😊
Another great vlog
I’d be happy in either first or business
Thanks 👍
Great thumbnail. I haven’t really gotten the best idea of the seats width till this!
Cheers! I include more footage of myself in the seat in the video too, and as much as I don't want to see my own face, it does provide a reference point for how large the seat is.
Noel Phillips brother
Did you say gweilo?
Yep
@@PaulStewartAviation I thought I heard that, haha that’s cute
Oh to be rich and fly First Class - Thank you Paul
Enjoy!
at 15:51 no slippers please-, this defeats the purpose of having the fold out section
True
I'm not a fan of seafood...not sure that would be the first class choice for me.
Yes fair enough. I may do the western diet on the return
A metal spoon with caviar 🚫
Yes true! No pearl!
pls just pronounce it jal not J.A.L.
Oh really? Learn something new. Jal is much easier so I’ll know to do that in my A350 business review
It always disgusts me when vlogger disgrace the JAL First Class experience by dressing as a bum. Dude, show some respect !
😂😂
Food looks disappointed for first class...
is this dejavu?
Yes sorry I had to takedown the original and fix something
Nice trip report Paul 👍🏻. My food choices would have come from the Western menu as I don’t like seafood period. 🫤. And one glass of champagne is enough for me for the entire flight. Never was a big drinker 😏
Thanks Rob
