Rotel is dedicated to making high-quality equipment, and the A11MKII exudes that quality. The highlight is Rotel's beefy and carefully crafted toroidal transformer, which provides reliable power with minimal noise.
There are many ways to connect, too, with multiple analog RCA and digital inputs. There's a built-in phono preamp, and also Bluetooth for wireless listening. It's an amplifier that you can really build a nice system around.

The DAC in these are the TI PCM 5252 released in Nov 2014. Unit price is US$10.50 each.

No display? I thought perhaps it might have an app to access all the extra settings in the mki software but apparently not. They've simply eliminated all the internal settings. Even the remote has less control options. I'm assuming some intervals have been upgraded with the new version but it certainly isn't what I'd call an improvement over the first model.

All it needs in my opinion is about 2 more analog inputs and a sub-output, case closed, if you want displays then shoot for the 60 or 80 watt models, I think the RC-1572MKII preamp is an excellent choice with an even higher grade display, you choose your own outboard power amp.

Wow I just noticed they also eliminated a second aux input and the pre out. So yes there is no way now to connect a sub to the unit itself. Definitely a step backwards from the first design in my opinion.
