I mean the footage we shot is what we shot. I’d be intrigued to see how other people test parfocalness as for more accurate results you need to focus at the tele end, and then zoom out, not the other way around. Jake
I respect your opinion but I wouldn’t call it boring charts. Tbh is that a better way to show a more objective test of the lens since real world stuff depends a lot on what type of things you film so it might be harder for a lot of people to take anything solid away from that. Also, there are plenty of UA-camrs focusing on real world stuff so there shouldn’t be any issue finding that :)
Lens charts objectively show things like contrast, sharpness, CA, distortion, vignetting, etc. No matter what you're using the lens for these are useful things to know.
Does 24-70 GM 2 lens sealing prevent dusts from entering during zooming?
Other reviewers reported it to be not nearly parfocal so your footage is surprising to see

Finally, finally, finally, I almost thought they would bring out this lens in 2050….
Perfect lens for the coming 100 MegaPixel Sony full frame MILC...
Funny you mention that - CAN'T WAIT for the A7R V coming out in October!! 😀
Pre Ordered.
Is it good for filming at low light conditions using fx3 ??
My Mark I has a lot of dust inside the lens elements. Does mark II improve more dust resistance?
If you already have the mk1, would you upgrade?
Is it worth buying for Sony FX 3?
Yes
“The body of the lens has changed a */cut/* decent bit lol”
Only worth buying if you use A1 or A9.
Linear focus motors and declickable iris make it a great choice for video shooters above other 24-70s. Jake
@@CVPTV exactly, I was waiting for this lens basicly, as an fx9 user
Too much boring charts. Needs more real world footage
We had the lens for two days. Jake
