Forest Gump is one of my favorite movies. Did anyone else feel sorry for him? I add that Tom Hanks is a favorite actor of mine. Thanks for bringing me back to a lovely moment in life. Run Forest run! ❤

Why would anyone notice something so mundane in a movie that wasn't based on anything factual.
I’m glad a sequel to Forrest Gump was never made. So many sequels have been major disappointments. Wanting to ride the tails of the successful original film just never really pans out for most sequels, and in my opinion, the idea of such sequels should really just be dropped.
Two big wins for Forrest Gump in my eyes was first seeing the range of characters Tom Hanks can create, and my first introduction to Gary Sinise, who has remained a favorite actor since that movie.
Forrest Gump is among my top five favorite films. Well done, and fondly remembered.
Stolen Valor: Forrest arrived in Vietnam, he's a private, but we don't know how long he served in Vietnam before the firefight. He may very well have been promoted to corporal/specialist by the time of the firefight
Usually, when a soldier receives a promotion if he received a Congressional Medal Of Honor
The fact that he wears sergeant/E5 from that point till he leaves the army, makes it NOT stolen valor
Jenny's Death: Jenny states in the movie that she has some kind of disease that nobody knows about.
Hepatitis is a very well known disease so it couldn't be that

the runner in the film was my mom's boyfriend from 2 decades ago. his name was Gordon something, and he was the runner sponsored by the citizen's journal (Columbus Ohio) newspaper. he was a professor at Columbus State U., and he ran across the country - beard and all. i didn't believe him when he said so, so i did some homework. i found him running with Mohammad Ali on the front page of a Phoenix Arizona newspaper. He wasn't one to lie. He was the the reference

I can't imagine anyone else playing the part of Forrest Gump better than Tom Hanks, or anyone else playing the part of Lt. Dan better than Gary Sinise, so it worked out the way it was supposed to, and the man that played Bubba is very handsome!

That restaurant in Forrest Gump was not really in Memphis theater it was in Richmond Hill Georgia. Only reason I know this is because I used to really go there all the time and I lived in Richmond Hill.

Forrest and Jenny running by the same 5 people sounds like a Scooby-Doo-ism. You know where that run down that same hallway about sixteen times before whatever is going to happen happens.

I am pretty sure I remember my college class correctly. They showed us a video of that slave driver Steve Jobs and it was called Macintosh or Apple first and changed it's name sometime in the early 80's. And just so everyone knows, he wanted his workers to work 24/7. You want to go home? You're fired! How can they say this is a great man?!

Many years ago I read that Hank's brother filled in for some of his running scenes most notably when he was in full beard. Also read it's his brothers voice used in the "Woody" toys. True or not I just don't know.
I think a lot of the products needed screen time for sponsorship. That could be a reason why they implemented a lot of those and were conflict with the dates. They may have invested money in to the film and that’s what needed to be done regardless of the years
A good demonstration , of how studios cut the budgets , they cut into , research big time , thus by doing so , all the while it seems studios apparently and still do pay little attention to continuity , Research and Continuity are absolutely critical to the whole making of every film easily overlooked , by studios filming (they would say gambling) to a budget, ignoring the Art of Filming ,and shortening odds of a loss, and keeping their remuneration and bonuses intact , loss or not , very greedy ,self interested, Executives (sic)

The movie wouldn't have been the same with different actors. There's no point in regretting not taking a role. It was the actor who played the part makes a huge difference. Back To The Future would've bombed without Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd (though John Lithgow might have worked for Doc) Forest Gump wouldn't have worked without Tom Hanks and Interview With The Vampire wouldn't have worked without Tom Cruise.

It's just a movie! Why worry about the bloopers when Forrest Gump didn't do all the things he supposedly did or met the people the movie says he did? I just rolled with it and enjoyed the movie. If ya gotta nitpick about all those little things, you aren't enjoying the movie.
