I'm a father myself, first child. The moment she was born, I've made a promise to myself, that I will never let my girl down. Although it's pretty much the opposite of this song, but it still hits in the right place.. There is much passion in your songs, in your lyrics, I love your work. I guess there's one thing worth mentioning: sometimes parents are proud of you, even if you think they aren't, but it's because they simply don't know the right way to show it.

I think you've already made them proud. They've raised a son that churns out songs as easily as people breathe. Not trying to downplay your hard work, hopefully you get what I mean. Beyond your artistic talent, you care about the people around you and your fans. By all means, keep working your ass off. But I hope you know you've got nothing to prove to your parents. You've already done it and since you're you, you'll keep doing it.
Same with my parents. They worked hard and sacrificed everything so my brother and I would have a better life in Canada. I always work hard to make them proud, but I feel like I'm always letting them down.
I also feel that same way, but trust me they are proud of us :) All we can do is work hard and love them :)

WOW, thank you for making this song and sharing your family's story Unlike Pluto. My parents also escaped from a war (genocide) and worked 24/7 everyday to buy a house, car, and raise this family and still live their life in Canada without complaining. This is really relatable. Thank you!

First time listening to this song and tears run down my face. It reminds me so much about how my parents met, 2 totally different families from spain and prussia, my mums family ran away in World War 2 and then they meet in Germany, when Germany was devided by the wall. It was never easy and after Germany was reunited they finally able to marry and get me. My childhood was never easy, never got told love or proud of me, but listening to this, it reminds me how strong they are and how much I love my family ❤
I've listened to this song throughout the four years. I still hold it close to me. My mom worked her ass off for me. Especially since my dad was never present. I was taught to reach for the sky and have many dreams. Now I'm one year away from chasing mine. I'm enlisting in hopes of being an Aviation Electrician and eventually a pilot in the military. I feel like this is my chance to become something and make her proud. I've never really been good at much, nor have I treated her the best. I want to make her proud, and prove to myself I'm more than my emotions and self-doubt.

Amazing... As always. Altough i'm part of this first generation that grown up in a wealthy country, such a chance.
Parents really can be so amazing, I think. They're raising the next generation; their influence, for good or bad, will impact you for a lifetime.
For me (and I'm from Poland) its like putting 3 generations: grandfather, father and son in conversation. They all try their best for each other.

A lot of the time I can't see what my parents do really do for me- and a lot of the time they think I don't care. But I do- I love them. First off, I began listening to you're music almost 2 years ago, and I have always loved and empathized with the genuine way in which you recapture and express your feelings through these songs. You are clearly passionate about these lyrics and how you present them, it's a great mix that never disappoints. I'm always left feeling some intense emotions after these songs end.
That being said, I stumbled upon this one and was suddenly reliving so many feelings and memories I've had over the past few years. This song, to me, was a whirlwind of ups and downs, and in the end reminded me that no matter what, you push through not just for yourself but for them (the ones who push us to be our best, accept who we have chosen to be, and the some who dissapprove but still wish us success. Of course we have to remind ourselves not to dwell on those who wont accept or those those who put us down).

Every parent does everything for his child. It's not their fault that not every kid gets where they want. They're trying their best. Out there are lots of emotions, people, stairs, if I can say in one word, which you need to pass.
Though every step taken is tricky and you have to be careful not to trip over or you'll fall back to the very beginning and everything you've done to reach that point, all that time spent for reaching the top was in vain.
Life is tricky every time, and you can't let your guard down, not even for moments.

I am only 18yo, so I am definitely not the wisest person on earth, but if there is one thing I can tell you, then it's that parents often struggle to say what they feel, but they _still feel it_ . i now it can be discouraging, but never forget, that just because someone struggles to express their feelings, it doesn't mean that they don't feel it at all.
