I'd prefer the halogen bulb, but I share the concerns of some people that the bulk is difficult to fix when it's broken. Some also say the heat of the bulk is sometimes risky, but I'd prefer the bulb over the coil.
Back in the 1960s, when Denmark had LEGO, the UK had "Betta Bilda". Looked the same if you squinted, but the quality of that cheap knock-off just wasn't there.
