Very annoying I was too young to see a game at highfield road, very historical ground. Would be phenomenal if we were still there wow. Biggest shame, then all the relegations we’ve had. PUSB let’s get back to the champ-then premiership
In most cases, it's cheaper to build a brand new stadium than redevelop old, dilapidated grounds that have been subject to wear and tear for decades. Sometimes though, it's out of the club's hands and the owner's will do whatever's best for themselves (for example: Brighton and Darlington).

I played there as a 15 year old. I was so glad I got the opportunity. Highfield Road was iconic to me. And the pitch was pristine

Never understood why clubs leave instead of just replacing the stands, especially if there's room to do so.
