Due to work stress I started coughing non stop when stressed. Both my girlfriend and my mom told me that when I was playing Dragon Quest 11 I never coughed, not even once, and I always play a good 3~4 hour session. So yeah, any Dragon Quest game for me is the best way to sit back and relax
Literally all my fave UA-camrs in one video! My favourite cosy JRPG is definitely Ni No Kuni. The music is simply mind blowing. I’ve been meaning to replay the 2nd one by myself: I took turns to play with my husband because we were fighting about who got to play it first lol! Atelier Ryza 2 is another great one for me, I can’t wait for 3 to come out and I have Sophie 2 in my backlog. Dragon Quest XI is really up there too. It genuinely soothed my soul. Ahh Man Fantasy life is AMAZING! I want to restart this, I last played in 2015 Thanks for the great video!
My cozy jrpg, Rune Factory 4 Special brought my favorite 3DS title onto my favorite Nintendo console since the SNES. So that’s near the top along side many of the games listed. However, when taking into account, relaxation, coziness, and other bubbly things, the first two generations of Pokémon games are my go to. Simple gameplay and progression often leads to me just turning off my brain and playing a few hours in the familiar regions playing with new self imposed challenges and limitations.
Cozy and relaxation is so different to people and so unique so it's always great to see what is considered cozy to others! Thank you for sharing your picks☺️
One heads up for Fantasy Life, the game has a $7 (usd) dlc that adds the final chapter to the story (as well as a new zone/world to explore and allot of end game content to do, as well as more job ranks and more.) The eshop will be closing in march 2023 so for those who want to get this game to please not wait. ❤ Extra notes to know, for those who want to play with friends, only those who own the dlc can only play with those who also own the dlc, and vice versa for those with out the dlc. save data is also lock to the system instead of the gamecard, so those with the dlc who would just put the gamecard into another system to play with their "dlc-less" friends would then have to make a new save on that system from scratch. (All of this info is coming from me and my friends finding out the hard way through out the years of owning this game) For all these reasons I really hope FL will get the snack world treatment in the future (3ds game rerelease on switch with all its dlc being in the base game) but because FL belongs to level-5, and recent problems a few years ago Lv5 had its hard to say if this would ever happen
Got Snack World the other day and absolutely loving it. Sadly, I doubt any FL will appear for the switch. Hope I'm proven wrong cause the demand is obviously there
Respectfully complimenting the beauty of Miss Bubbles and these videos as well! Excellent list! Recently I have been relaxing with a game called Coromon. Just a cozy little monster taming pixel game. It's slowly becoming one of my all-time favorites.
I have all these games and don't know which one to replay or start playing...because I want to play them all, and at the end of it, I never play any of them. 😫
Great video! Love checking out new creators! I loved the original Ni No Kuni soo much! One of the few games I've actually completed. I haven't checked out the second one yet because I heard mixed reviews of it. I'll have to look into it again. I got Chrono Cross for the Switch, but haven't played it yet. So looking forward to revisiting this classic from my childhood.
Wow!! Bubbles& The All stars co.!!(Subbed to some of them already ) Back in the day, I used to fall asleep to Pokemon & Harvest Moon on the game boy all the time. Kinda crazy I've never heard of some of the game here, especially Fantasy Life. Gotta check them out now. Thanks for the excellent list, Bubble!!
Phantasy Star 4 and Final Fantasy 4. Phantasy Star 4 has a great Québécois translation by a Chicoutimi gentleman, so that's a fun replay. Judging by the quality of his French translation, he speaks my native English better than I do :P Also, the OG Wasteland or any Ace Attorney game just soothes my soul lol
First off, love these video! Highly recommended the first Ni No Kuni. Also got turned off by the battle mechanics but the story, character and music are among the best for JRPGs!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that can't get into the combat in Ni no kuni 1. We finally get it on Xbox, and I was really disappointed It wasn't grabbing me like I wanted it to. Everything about the game is amazing so it gives me hope for the second one coming next year.
I absolutely agree with Blue Reflection (honestly the first one that came to my mind, even if it's not my top pick), pretty much any Pokemon game, Fantasy Life, and while I do enjoy Rune Factory 5, 4 is more of a comfort game for me. My main picks that weren't already covered here would be Paper Mario and Legend of Mana.
@@MissBubbles It's my favorite video game of all time, but it's definitely the outlier of the rest of the Series of Mana. I've done videos on both the original and the remaster if you ever want to check them out!
Glad to hear that you're getting into Pokemon! My favorite is Crystal, it's the one I've played the most and I adore it :D Also, I agree with The Gaming Shelf on FF VIII, that game and IX are SUPER relaxing. Plus Dragon Quest as a whole is relaxing, which is one of the reasons why I love that series.
Great video! I have added a few of the recommended titles to my wish list. Dragon Quest Builders 2 has a great post game that you can play forever, it's worth finishing the main game for that.
My List of cozy games. Atelier Lydie and Suelle The Alchemists of the Mysterious Paintings. Rune Factory 4 Special The original version is on the 3DS. Special is on the Switch. Style Savvy/Girls Mode/Style Boutique. The game series has different names in America, Japan and the UK. There are currently 4 games in the series. The first game is on the DS but the rest are on the 3DS.( The 3DS is backwards compatible with DS and DSi games ) Granted this series is more of a shop sim but there are some RPG elements and tropes. Animal Crossing/Dobutsu No Mori Pokemon Legends Arceus
this video was great and i know these people yay! 🤣🤣 no seriously though great choices that include some games that I've been putting off for years. i need to do something about that. hope you guys do another one one day.
@@lambertar im a big fan of Tales games. Been playing Tales games since Ps1. My 1st one is Tales Of Eternia and i've been a fan ever since. I even played the japanese ones like, Destiny 1 remake, Destiny 2 and Rebirth (Rebirth is one of my favorite). 😋
@@lambertar Berseria is great! I love the story. The 1st Tales game where you are the antihero. And Vesperia is my favorite of them all i think. And i cant wait for Symphonia Remastered. Gonna spend hundreds of hours on it. 😅
I usually bounce off most quote on quote "comfy" games and usually if I want a relaxing time I play bloodborne or Doom eternal with the volume on low as I listen to ASMR or something since those games are very cozy : ) That being said I picked up Atelier Rorona again like 2-3 days ago after playing it for about 2 hours and never touching it when it first came to switch and its just a jolly good time. I think I'm usually not a fan of the sort of aimlessness of games like rune factory or story of seasons (games designed to be comfy and relaxed) so having that loose time limit and some actual characters and story really adds alot for me It might also be that I just hate farming lol (tho I think sakuna: of rice and ruin might be up my alley)
@@MissBubbles Yeah, I've always wanted to find a chill comfy game cos the vibes appealed to me but they always put me to sleep pretty quick, I'm glad I've finally found one I can enjoy (and one with like 18 enteries too)
oh, i love both ni no kunis so much!!! nnk2 had much better combat, but i just love how adorable the familiars from the first one are! they both have such nice happy stories too :)))
Original Nino Kuni all the way. The story was so much better. Loved both Atelier Sophie and Ryza, more partial to Ryza both in story and alchemy system. Can’t wait for the Atelier Marie remake since I never got to play the first one. First game I have ever ordered from PlayAsia since hardcopies are not going to be a thing in the US.
Tales of Graces F is awesome, best battle system in the franchise. Great taste here. Edit : Agreed, I loved the first Ni No Kuni but the battle system is terrible... Edit 2 : Eternal Sonata is such a beautiful experience. I lmho the story falls apart in the end but still worth the trip.

Gotta agree with Fantasy Life, still to this day one of my favourite games on the 3DS.
I really wanted Snack World on switch but now I kind of regret not getting Fantasy Life on switch instead...level 5 is disappearing...
Guess it will just be our dream
@@MissBubbles Yeah, saldy 😔
Thank you so much for having me on!! Even if mine . . . doesn't necessarily perfectly fit the 'cozy' mold. But it's still cozy to me!
There is no cozy mold, it's about the fuzzy feelings that you described
Cozy JRPG as a genre definitely needs to be talked about more. Love this video. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks! Will do!
Awesome video collab! Not a huge JRPG fan but who knows, things might change. Will need to check some of these out.
