    what are EPSP and IPSP? i've not heard of them before
    also the new music made it seem much more intense especially on 2x speed, so much so that i panicked for a second because i didn't know the answer to 'chance for a quick breather here'
    😅

      Haha you were too focused :P
      Those terms refer to excitatory post-synaptic potential (a signal that makes the next cell more likely to fire - comes from an excitatory neurotransmitter) and inhibitory post-synaptic potential (a signal that makes the next cell less likely to fire - comes from an inhibitory neurotransmitter).

      That's fine - the main thing is you know that before you go in the exam, so you can fill that gap! Good luck :)

      Ah that's okay! I'm sure there are terms we use in psych that you actually don't use in bio anyway!

    i can never find a reliable source for which wavelengths (e.g. alpha, beta, theta..) are present for each of the sleep stages. would u be able to tell me please?? 🙏 thank you

    • @GalbraithDoesPsych
      @GalbraithDoesPsych  Місяць тому +1

      NREM progresses through alpha, theta and delta, and REM is a mix similar to awake (mainly beta and gamma I think).
      Does that match what you thought?
