Love the short cut. Wish I had one like that to get to Vancouver lol. Kind of in the same boat with my 76 KZ900. Very ruff looking but she has her own story.
While I respect and admire restorated or “stock,” I’m always a fan of customization. It’s about making it uniquely yours. Nobody in the world would have the same thing. I’m not sure the value of the CT90 but seems like it wouldn’t be that much. But ultimately, it is your choice. I look forward to following along with you regardless of your decision. Great video. Ride safe. :)
They go for a bit more then they should due to nostalgia... but it's not going to put my kids through school or anything ... maybe a nice holiday... one day I'll get inspired to overhaul her in a completely custom way.
IDK either, brother, hard choice. Like you said, on older things stock is great to keep it classic (and there's the license plate thing too--I run Tennessee Veteran plates on everything, it's only $4 more than a regular plate for a Veteran and they look nice IMO, but there's no restrictions on mods like you're talking about). In the car world, lets say old air cooled VW's (I''ve owned a few)...I'm more of a "resto-mod" kinda guy, where I keep the stock-ish look, but add just enough personal touch to make it noticeable, I think similar would be cool on the Trail 90 myself (though IDK exactly where or how I'd add the custom bits on it). Looking forward to seeing what you do with it regardless of direction you take :D
Thankx for your well thought out input. I think I'll keep her stock until I get inspired to do a real custom job. I realy like all her Nicks and cuts and spots were the paint has warn off from 40 years of use. The main reson for the restrictions is the insurance discounts. Its realy cool you run veterans plate, run them with pride brother!
Thankx Hoodie good luck on the rebuild I hear parts can be harder to find in the UK. Remeber alot of parts in the later years are the same as 110's and early models share more with C 90s. Keep me posted on your rebuild hey, hit me up on IG or email if you run into trouble.
Hard to say. It will be a tough choice on if you should paint the bike. You sound like you cherish her blemishes, which is not a bad thing at all in any way.
This is how I do it...buy another one and swap the best to the most original. Now mod the crap out of the picked bike. When finished, sell the one that you don't ride cept I have 51 bikes now,3 sidecars and a trike
I bought 12V car charger and installed 12V socket in my trunk. Works like a charm bro!
Bro in law paint hookup nice!
Ya man he's pritty awesome, he even got several land speed records this year in bonivile. Proud of him.

Kz's are beasts they will grunt through anything!
My 12V charger charges two devices shows the voltage of my battery and shows the current of charging. Very accurate!
Cool it's always handy to have something with multiple uses.

Stock is nice and customizing is nice. You just need to do what you feel comfortable with.
Ya if I do customize her I'll wait until I'm inspired and do a full on custom bike.

Maybe small customizing to your needs on things you can do without changing the looks. A new coat of paint would protect her longer ?
Ya paint has been on my mind...
keep it stock man , great vid man I'm rebuilding a ct90 here in the uk

got a few vids in mine , yes parts are xpensive in the uk , used parts can be found but not cheap
@@dave1secondago Thankx mate subbed to follow.
Customisation for me. If it was something rarer and older I’d say keep stock.
Thankx for the input.

Ya I think I'll keep her this way until something like rust forces me to repaint her.
