As a Colorado local who loves fall, I get asked all the time what are my tips and tricks for viewing fall foliage in the Colorado Rockies. Glad to hear they were helpful, that week should have great foliage in many parts of the state! Generally you won't need your heavy winter coats, though it can definitely get cold in the mountains in the evenings. Sweaters, long pants, and a decent jacket should be fine. But do make sure to check the forecast before you come, as snow storms are not unheard of even in early October!
