Where I live in Australia we only get two seasons, summer, and ‘not summer for a few weeks’. The changing colours of landscapes as seasons pass in places like Colorado are why I yearn to move up the US and experience real seasons and colours shifting from month to month!
There’s something special about living with the seasons
Don’t move to Texas there’s 3 headed alligators roaming the streets and mosquitoes big as eagles trust me you don’t want to move here I would go to Florida
Colorado seems like a nice state to live in. The climate makes people want to exercise and be healthy. There's also a lot of fun activities to do such as rock climbing, hiking and kayaking.
We would live in Colorado in a heartbeat. I’d just have to say goodbye to surfing haha

This video is giving me all the feels!!! I went to boarding school in Carbondale and it was amazing. So many great memories canoeing down the Roaring Fork River, backpacking up and around Sopris, and skiing all winter at Snowmass. This video is a beautiful reminder to get back there ASAP. Thank you!

Stayed around Centennial, but visited St Mary’s Glacier (mind blowing), Echo Lake, and drove through the Guanella Pass (amazing views)

How coinkydink!!we are leaving Friday to bring chuck’s son his belongings to Denver. Trying to figure out clothing attire. Basing it on your outfits. Just came back from a trip to Florida celebrating my birthday on 5 October. We stayed in Miami and Key West. Got a deeper tan. Had a great tan but got a better tan. (August 1, 2022) Fresh and invigorating air of Colorado forest and mountains and the rushing clean waters of its rivers! Every time I hear or see the word Colorado, I am also reminded of one of the greatest hits of John Denver's song about the high Rocky Mountain. If I were to visit the USA, I would really want to visit the mountain states of the Midwest (?) like Montana, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, and particularly Arizona which "houses" the spectacular Grand Canyon carved by the mighty Colorado River. What beauty nature has given us! I always praise the Lord for creating such beautiful landscapes and natural beauty for my eyes to feast on. Thank you for sharing. God bless.

So Alex and Carrie, we are 30 miles away from your Glenwood Springs. Today is October 17 and boy oh boy Carrie, you were right about those beautiful trees turning autumn gold. I’m a California girl and this is my first time in Colorado and God‘s beauty abounds everywhere. I am in amazement and splendor viewing the different gorgeous landscapes between rock and sand and hills and water, Colorado river, and greenery and gold autumn leaves. I’m having such a great time. I wish we could stop at your Destiination but we must move on to Denver where our ultimate destination will be. I want to see more..I love CO. I went to Steamboat in November 1999 for my birthday, was very memorable. I saw snow for first time. I learned to ski, was horrible at it. I think we took cable car 13k feet to top.

Funny, I'm a Colorado native and I found your channel looking for other places to visit. The unfortunate part of living here is that all of the pretty places you visited are like a 3 or 4 hour drive away from just about any decent sized town and I rarely get the opportunity to visit them. Most of the non mountain towns in Colorado are rather boring and uninspiring to live in. It's tough because you know that in just a couple hours you could be up in the mountains but then you have to get up super early and fight all the traffic in Denver to even get anywhere nice and you might only get to stay a few hours unless you want to go overnight at an expensive airbnb or hotel.

Hello Alex. My charge in life is to provide names and boundaries for zones called ecological groups for our Ag Department. That specific zone you called "like a high-altitude desert" has been difficult for finding just the right word. The problem with desert is that it exceeds ten inches of precipitation, and has too much vegetation to fit into the desert category. I've been searching for just the right word. In other parts of the world the word steppe is used for that ten to fifteen inch precipitation zone. The problem with steppe is that it's used in Russia where soils are deep. Grass is the frequent veg on these deep soils. Western Colorado soils are shallow. Trees grow instead of grass. I've coined the term 'woodland steppe' for these places. My question for you is do you think this is a fit? Can you see yourself calling it woodland steppe?
