Major boom to rail safety; Indian Railways successfully installed Kavach 4.0 in Sawai Madhopur

- Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on September 24, while addressing the media informed about the successful completion of installment of Kavach 4.0 in Sawai Madhopur. During the address, he briefed on further upcoming targets of Indian Railways in installing Kavach 4.0.
"Kavach 4.O has started for the first time in India from Sawai Madhopur... The work of installing armour in this area has been completed, this is just the beginning, in the coming years, 10 thousand locomotives will be covered with armour and 9 thousand kilometres of additional armour work will be done ..." said Ashwini Vaishnaw.

This is where the present government slips up. Its focus is on glitz, glamour, fast trains, new trains, new lines, fancy new stations, and selfie points at stations with the prime minister’s cutouts.
Railways had more than 2.74 lakh vacancies, of which 1.7 lakh related to ensuring safety.
That unplanned hurry in deploying these newfangled trains has resulted in many of them getting delayed, and starving the non-glamorous part of the railways of essential funds.
....the present railway minister is more of a Hindutva supporter than an effective railway minister.
And Unpadh Modi is dreaming of Bullet Trains which he thinks would get him huge number of votes from gullible Voters.
Anyway most of our Legislators and Ministers (mostly crorepathis) travel by Airlines.
The amount of damage done by HINDUTVA concept of the Bulldozer jhumla party of India led by a Camera Jeevi, Modi 73 is unimaginable.

Please install the Kavach system in Howrah Chennai line. Most of the collisions are happening in this line.

We reserved the berth in train but some other people occupied the seats. Indian railway a useless railway.
No TTE in the train and TTE is selling the reserved seats to other.

CCTV for entire Track and train inside and outside each compartment needed to be provided. Any obstruction on track must be identified in advance. Modern technology like rail blockage. Signal failure or deformation of track and other issues must be remotely and quickly identified many kilometers away in control centre as well as to loco pilot

Great news but it should be the installing speed should be increased.
Railway charges are very high but facilities are zero. Wash rooms are very dirty, no security in sleeper. Ticketless person travelling in train and occupy seats of reserved passenger

From where does the Red signal come to Kavach system in the locomotive? From the signal post or the data center? if the local signal post is damaged, then what? Kavach system should also be installed in the Guard's cabin because then two Kavach systems of 2 different trains will talk to each other just like radar systems and even if the local signaling system is damaged, Kavach will still work. Kavach should also scan the condition of tracks like a radar as it can also save the train from derailment conspiracy by the train jihadists.
the level of radar based AI you are mentioning that would work at 100 plus speeds and produce near real time results is not available today.
@@nishant115me This Kavach system should be a foolproof system. All the technologies are certainly available in India. If modern Vande trains can have too many CCTVs for internal security, then why not 2 front cameras in Vande trains and locomotives for external security like identifying stone pelters and other reasons.
@@IN-ud2ks I don't think identification is so easy even with external cctv cameras they can easily mask themselves. Having such a huge population will always have it's cons, policing will never be fool proof.
It retrieves the data about signal from the station kavach equipement via 2g towers. Station equipement will have data of all the signal aspect falling under that station.Currently testing about upgrading 2g to 4g is going on to include more data bandwidth to include feature like video communication between loco and wifi feature. Currently the features don’t require much data transfer so 2g is sufficient.
