Surprise...I'm in Baghdad Iraq.
This is a nation I've always wanted to visit but have either been too afraid or too worried about the complicated visa process. But times are changing and Iraq is starting to open up to tourism. I'm going to be travelling around Southern Iraq for 2 weeks and sharing what it's like to be a tourist in Iraq in 2021.

I am Iraqi, and anyone who wants to visit Baghdad, I will help him as much as I can, and I know that the Iraqi people are generous and beloved people and love tourists and they add the tourist even in their homes
Ex: 1-(al khuld palace) in Arabic (Abbasid palace ) located at almaydan square near the street you visited
2- almustansria school which is one of the oldest school from Abbasid Caliphate also located near haji zibala juice ,
3- In al shurjaa there’s Saint Joseph Latin Cathedral which built in 1866 , on the opposite side of the cathedral, you will see Khulafa Mosque also back to Abbasid era from 902-908 /which represent how Muslim & Christians was living together without any problem in the past years
+ al-Rasheed street have many shanasheel and very amazing details on the walls ,These buildings are 100 years old or more I’m not sure but now in 2021 their owners trying to dustruct it to build new buildings with modern style which

in al-rusfa / plastine street there’s ( Al-Shaheed Monument ) Al-Shaheed was constructed in Baghdad's Rusafa, and this monument is one of three monuments that were built to remember Iraq's pain and suffering as a consequence of the eight-year war. The first of these structures was The Monument to the Unknown Soldier (1982); followed by Al-Shaheed (1983) and finally the Victory Arch (1989).
The completed monument of alshaheed cost half a million dollars (US). It is one of the most iconic monuments in Baghdad. The Art in America magazine rated al-Shaheed as the most beautiful design in the Middle East
