This would be such good anime cannon - Also, rather than meeting and saying goodbye straight away, they should deal with an enemy for an arc together (Like Boruto with Kid Naruto/Jiraya). Would be cool if Itachi taught her his signature shuriken jutsu too and when Sarada returns back to her timeline, Sasuke will find Sarada on the training grounds practicing Itachi's shurinken jutsu and would be caught completely off guard.

I do appreciate how we may see a possibility how these two may meet. As sad as it is, I also do appreciate that the story had to be consistent that while Itachi learned about his Brother, his niece and the future, it would mess the consistency of the story we know. The fact that Itachi understands and willing to forget how Sasuke has become and his future niece, they were willing to have one last moment of clarity together. I don't know whether we may see something like this in the series or not, (Manga and/or anime), we'll just have to wait and see if and/or when that may come.

It’s crazy this could potentially happen because when boruto and sasuke was going back to the present the turtle did say something “with the chakra I have left it’s possible to go another era” because it took some of Naruto’s nine tail chakra while boruto was connected with Narutos chakra while fighting urashiki. So if it operates thru chakra another time travel ark could happen 👀 just a theory I’ve been thinking about.
