Pro tip for Toronto, that logo at the top of the street sign at 2:26 is a picture of Toronto's city hall. It's a very unique shape. It appears in one of the Resident Evil movies. Not all our street signs have that picture, but a lot of the ones in the downtown core do.
Yep, as soon as they hit the street sign (I'm in Ottawa but the city hall in TO is iconic) Pic of city hall : policyoptions.irpp.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2021/05/The-numbers-tell-us-whos-in-charge-at-Toronto-city-hall.jpg
As an American who has watched a lot of Geoguessr, that New Mexico location is the first time I've ever been shocked to learn a location was in the U.S. Of course, the pole would have given it away outside of NMPZ, but that one frame did not look remotely American. I was guessing Romania.
i also def thought eastern europe. was a bit puzzled by the dry landscape, but assumed the coverage was maybe taken during summer or something. nm is wiiild
I don't usually play NMPZ cuz I'm still a fairly new player (and not good), but those were some fun rounds. I'm not good at them, but I enjoy playing along and then watching you play the rounds. Nice video. Didn't beat you in any games, but in some rounds at least :)
The domain on the bus in the second round looked like a very clear "Ju" to me, which confused to greatly. Thought it was some small island that had to take an unusual domain. lol Only beat you in round 3 because of the repeat. But got totally destroyed in round 4. Btw, appreciate the 1:30 time limit - gives plenty of time to get a lot of details sorted.
In the Berlin round there were these huge stone plates used for the pavement. They are pretty common in former east germany. I live in Leipzig and though it didnt look like Leipzig my immediate thought was east germany
I didn't play along, but in the Berlin round, my first thought was: "This fence looks very German". At least, we had a lot of these "Jägerzaun" ("Hunter's fences") back in the 70s and 80s.
A strategy I’ve been using for the last four years or so is looking to see if we have mountains to our east, and if we do it’s very likely that it’s Chile. I noticed that those mountains were sort of east!
@@GeoPeter It's right behind the Retiro bus terminal (the biggest one in the city) and near the most expensive neigbourhood in Buenos Aires... You can check it out with Google Street...
Urban doesn’t mean anything in geoguessr, I mean… I particularly remember a urban location in a totally rural area, a road with only trees and plants and no buildings. It was from zigzag’s map I think.

Oo, that's a good tip! Thanks for sharing!
@@GeoPeteralso if you see majority English, and French after English, you’re not gonna be in Quebec

Was I the only one that noticed we ended up in Metz twice. First time I guessed Lyon. Second time I got it.
I definitely didn't notice that 😂
Toronto- Nice, well maintained houses on small narrow lots usually means an expensive city.
Wouldn't Montreal and Quebec City also be expensive? 🤔

Having fun is the most important thing! Thanks for playing along! :)
Yes, you pronounce the "e" at the end of Boise. Two syllables.
Thanks! I'll try to remember! 😅

I feel 100% validated that you went Arequipa as well

Interesting tip! Thanks for sharing!

Good vibes! 😄

Mountain direction can definitely help!
I feel like Quebec City and Montreal would have only French language signs, not English
Hmm, that's a good thought 🤔
Both Metz rounds had the same street lanterns
1:52, that's a slum called Villa 31....
Ohh, that's interesting!

did you record them one after another? Just asking because of the same Metz ( 7:30 and 14:50 ) :D
I think he just didn't realize it was a repeat.
OMG, I didn't realize that!
When I saw this, I thought "This is Metz again" 😄
Just looking through the comments to see if anyone else had noticed ... spiced up my score by A LOT 🤣!
I beat you 2 out of the 4 games. One each of the NM and NMPZ. Got the top score for the time being on the 3rd round. GG
Well played!

It's a very loose definition sometimes 😂
that first one looked like mw2 favela
I think the third word under "Viva" and "Ver-something" was "Montenegro" 😅
That would have helped 😂
Playing this map anything but NMPZ should be a crime💀
I've heard ladies like bad guys
In French, it's "vive" and not "viva"…
Thanks! That would have helped! I'll probably forget it, though 😅
