Swinley has some hidden gems! I don't know what it's called but the trail to the right of Babymaker is wicked fun. Loose gully to start with and then into a load of really tight, fast berms.
Hey Ryan, hit Swinley today for the first time today with my lad, always heard mixed things about it. But was pleasantly surprised! Nice one for the video which gave us a bit of a heads up the night before. Yep a lot of is bit pedally, but hey good for the fitness. And there’s some cracking bits there that reward you for the effort. Agree with you Red 9 is probably the first real highlight, so good and quick, GoPro as always never does it justice! But heads up yes you can get back up and session it, where you come out at the bottom, where you were wondering on the video if you can get back up, just take a left on the fire road and then a left again, and it will take you to the top, did it three times. And then yes all the stuff at the top where Red 10 starts is a big highlight Bikini, Deerstalker, Berminator, Babymaker, got it all there, tech, berms, big table line, shout outs to the trail fairies for that bit! And yes agree those last swoopy blues are great too! Yes Swinley isn’t your Surrey Hills or Wales, but it’s only 1hr drive for us, Chicksands/Woburn are our locals, but definitely be paying Swinley a visit again. Thanks again for the video!
Thanks so much I really appreciate the feedback. I'm going to head back there soon so I'll look out for the way back up. Cheers for heads up and glad you enjoyed the edit. Legend 💪✌️
Nice vid, thanks mate! Normally ride SH’s but looking for new stuff. What’s the best way of finding your way around - is everything on Trailforks / sign posted?
Yes the main red/blue are easy to follow. There are a few downhill lines to take. It is sort of obvious when you get to a peak/plateau and you continue the red on the left or the DH lines on the right. There is also some exploring to be done on the west part of the forest. Maybe look on some heat maps. There is a cool techy bombhole section out there. But for a first trip for sure just focus on the easy to find stuff.
Have ridden there twice, first time i thought it was utter shyte, the second time it was just far too pedally and dull for the tiny bits of fun. When youve got the surrey hills half an hour away its a no brainer.
To be fair it is a pedal fest but some of the runs are worth the pedal though. Surrey Hills is awesome if you know what way round to go for sure, I normally get lost and ride up a lot of roads lol. Place is rad though. Cheers!

Thanks for the info, I'll look it up next time. I ride that hill a few times then head off as that little climb is a beast lol. Cheers again! ✌️
