- The Albanese government appears to be in trouble as support among voters in key New South Wales seats seems to be falling.
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell has discussed Labor’s drop in support among key voter demographics.
It comes as a Labor source told Sky News Australia that the party is currently behind in four marginal seats in New South Wales.

The only way to do that is by LNP finding a way to win young voters. The worst situation is if we go into a hung parliament with greens having more power. LNP need to cut immigration intake. LNP need to ban foreign ownership of Australian properties forever and request existing foreign owners to sell. LNP needs to have a sensible solution to prevent negatively gearing and CGT concessions on more than 2 investment properties, and in future making negative gearing only applicable for new builds (without impacting current investors).

People seem to worry about who is driving (labor or libereral) the real problem is that both are heading in the wrong direction. Lets see how much the two party preferred vote is falling. In some cases I suggest thst the real numbers of people actually voting for for both of those parties is less than ever. No one wants them and their agenda.
So do we vote for people who will never govern? How does that work? Greens etc enjoy putting a spanner in the works but never have to take the responsoibity of governing.

I disagree they did modeling before the election Bill Shorten lost they also did the modeling when Paul Keating tried it. So it is a no go area in the middle of cost of living crisis. Any tax increases would take more money away from households in a time many are strugling. It is in same category as GST increases. Just impossible in the current ecconomic times. There needs modeling on reducing taxation and excises along with reducing Government and public service. As all the pay increases and labour bulking up public service is using up the taxation funds and diverting it into Governance not having it available to spend on projects to help ecconomic productivity and reduce everyday cost of living. Labor big Government and love of tax's has now causing harm to underlying economics of Australia for everyday Australians. We need less Government interference lower politician salaries and a much stronger cap on politicians spending on flights and cars. It is time they tighten there belt and walk there talk. Not be seen as bunch of hipocrits. I want modeling done on a broad consumption tax system and a doing away with personal income tax and excise on goods and services. There can't be policies introduced like Welfare and NDIS with out full funding that does not include taxation increases on Australians workers. Lets all look at what Bob Hawke said the point of welfare was when introducing the bill. It was simply to help between jobs the worker who had lost his job. Not a system designed for students to leave school go on to and others to sit on for years and years. It is now so far from what Bob Hawke designed it to do.
Now with record inflation is time to rewind some of welfare and make sure it is sustainable. Government is about policy's sustainability not just policy that feels good and destroys country bottom line. To garantee public trust we need costed sustainable Government systems. Not bloated costly systems. Definately not Politicians taking 3 pay rises in midst of cost of living and pushing division in the community. So time Governments got out of funding renewals thrucostly rebates either take a % shareholders position or leave it to private enterprise. I am for Country owning Power and Water and Poles and Wires and NBN and Telecomunications critical services leasing these units out to private sector to maintain and run leases that allow for Public to benefit from cost savings and profits fed back into budget.
