Thanks for an honest review. Summary of the 992 seems to me is “ great sporty daily driver with numerous over engineering that sucks some joy out of the experience “. Door handle issue is going to be a huge annoyance in the long run.
Such people do not deserve to drive a Porsche. A Porsche is about driving, not about opening garage doors. Very sad - I hope this car will get a more deserving owner soon, and you could buy some junk with some bling- bling on it (I would recommend a car with a lot of Swarovski stuff inside and outside). I only watched the video because I've ordered it in the same color and wanted to see it driving. What I've seen is your sunglasses and and heard the giggling of your friend. Very well, enjoy and have a nice life. PS: let me help you with the small rear-windows: there is a smallish button right behind the larger window buttons (l/r). The button toggles the window buttons from front windows to rear windows and back. Not overly complex, but not really too practical either.
Thanks for the feedback. I have owned many Porsches and I take them to the track regularly to drive. However, this particular Porsche is my daily driver and therefore I want the features that it offers to work well. Once you receive the Porsche you ordered, and something does not work properly you will also complain. The rear windows do not come up when I put up my top 100% of the time. They are supposed to. Sometimes when I use the window switch to try and put it up, it comes up and goes back down as if something is in the way. This is an issue with my brand new car so I’m complaining about it. I hope you enjoy your new Porsche and you have no problems with it. Aventurine Green is very nice.
@@sansan2177 I know this is an old post, but I'm looking for a used 992 Cab. Have your issues been resolved, or is it something I should expect to live with? Do your kids still fit in the back?
Let's get some more engine noise, fly-bys and hauling ass with this thing, Eddie. Love some chit-chat but I had to flip over to something else about halfway through because it just got a tad boring -sorry. Love your content overall - but maybe a chat n drive would be better on back roads where they can let loose a bit?!
The issues he describes with the electronics is disgraceful in a $160,000 car. Porsche should stick their engineers in a backroom and bring in the ergonomics guys.
I enjoyed your video, I understand completely about waiting for the system to boot up. Audi has the same problem and it may not be a coincidence being that they both have a bloodline to VW. My question. I'm about to finish the build to my 911 Targa 4S. at Jim Ellis Porsche Atlanta. $177K (Porsche will nickel & dime you to death) asked my sales rep if there was ANY wiggle room. Point blank said No. I find that very hard to believe. What are your thoughts and suggestions.
europe porsche have reputation for not negotiating - they have waiting lists for many cars - try adding in some freebies, driving days, trim, screenwash, genuine keyring ... good luck though - sometimes getting car from factory is an idea - but stutgart ..... friend did that with sports audi A6 - got years free insurance and special non chip paint as they cut out the dealership costs ...
Missing the point... People who want rear axle steering won't buy the non S model. So people who want the S will look for rear axle steering... Resale value.
Not Eddies best choice for a Porsche owner. Awful. The guy is clueless about a car he paid 160,000 for. Can’t remember what options he bought! Buys options based on internet comments, but has driven many Porsche’s including race-track Porsche’s. He obviously has plenty of money but that is it.
I stated that for a guy who said he has had many Porsche’s before, it is very odd he checks the internet about options for this new Porsche and not his own insight! Next time read well first then chill!
Owner here. Sorry I couldn’t spit out all the options when I’m actually driving the car on the road. I gave the major options but honestly Porsche charges a few hundred dollars for everything and it just adds up. I gave the big ones and mentioned others while we reviewed the car. In terms of rennlist, I had to order the car sight unseen. They didn’t have samples of the interior yet when I had to build my car but the cars had already been released in Europe. So going on rennlist you can read about what other real world owners are going through. Just like you watched this video, I went online to get feedback about a car I needed to spec out without being able to see a bunch of real ones at the dealership. I believe mine was the first one sold in Michigan.
Nice review. It’s refreshing to hear an honest and open discussion on the new 992 from an ownership perspective
Both interviewer and interviewee were outstanding. Great work, well done!
I can’t wait to buy this in 30 years!
And me in 40...
Eddie keep up the great work. I really enjoy these user reviews and ride a longs. Just excellent.

LOVE that color!!! Great video and amazing car
Awesome interview and honest owner feedback.
I think that a lot of the issues that the owner mentioned in the video are common among VAG cars
Eddie killing the openings
Very interesting. I like shifting with the shifter stick, so now I am screwed!
Let’s get this trending
That’s a beautiful spec car! Awesome.
Magnificent denture!
I'm hoping to purchase a 2021 992 Carrera 4S Cabriolet in a year or so.

A Porsche is about whatever the person who bought it wants it to be about. He can drive it off a cliff if he paid for it, you pretentious twat.

Can you put kids back there without car seat legally in California? Thx

Great honest review. I am thoroughly unimpressed with the 992. I went with an AMG GT instead and it’s so much better, in pretty much every way.
After 7 Merc's, I'm done with that brand for a while. Horrible transmissions and constant problems.

For 161k why not just get a turbo or maybe even a base turbo S, not sure what the S starts at? 🤔
Turbo MSRP is 212k and above. Way more than c4s bru
Jun Mfour4 just looked it up, turbo s starts at 190k
992 Turbo and Turbo S have not been announced yet. They will probably be out fall 2020 or spring 2021
Turbos are ridiculous. Where are you going to go to use the extra power?
Looove it
I want one.
Porsche overcomplicated?? You think so?? Idk man
1st one here!!!!
No
What are you 5 years old? This is something a lame duck from Doug Demiro followers would say.
Eddie really enjoy most of your videos but do us all a favor and abort mission with this guy, unless you’re trying to put us to sleep!
could've bought a gt3 ir almost a gt3rs 991
He owns a 991.2 GT3 already
Ima give this vid hella views for the fuck of it and i hope it helps u out because i realize it would suck of you stopped making vids
enjoy

Eddie is Chinese.
Looks like a bicycle junk yard.
Rear axle steering is only available on the S models... Big mistake not getting it.
If you need rear axle steering then hand in your man card. You should not be driving.
mac daddy all of the Porsche GT cars have rear axle steering as standard unless I’m mistaken. Please correct me if so. Thanks
@@hindsite275 Who cares? I know I don't need it to drive good.
mac daddy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 well thought out answer

Work on the audio quality
the audio is fine. The problem is you have crappy speakers.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 I agree. Audio is fine.

@@sansan2177 Don't worry about this troll. He's just envious because he'll never be able to afford a 3 series, let alone a 992.
boring
Third one here
Have PPF put on the trim pieces. I had some put on areas of my S4 interior trim.
I’m planning on doing it to my 992, surprised no one else has mentioned it
what is PPF?
