Since plastic is smooth, that's why your paint chipped off. Needs to be sanded down to give the paint tooth to stick to. And yes, spray paint is a much better option.
Expensive and costs $ to run... she might chew you out for adding to the electricity bill lmao. Easiest thing you can do, hide then. Out of sight, out of mind. Put the bugs into a container in the fridge, somthing esthetically pleasing, whatever it may be. Nobody likes opening their fridge and seeing a bag of meal worms or roaches.

Sand the plastic and use krylon fusion spray paint 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. This combo can also be used for painting diy vivarium decor. I made some pvc bamboo that worked well and hasn’t chipped or peeled for over 5 years. Thanks for the video 👍🏻
I bought the 1g ryobi pressure sprayer so I dont need to use spray bottles. Helps a lot. If anyone dose buy one make sure it is not used before you buy it. Sometimes used ones end up on the shelf.

I put ld substrate and poop straight onto the garden. No plastic. Of course, only works if you have a garden....and I use F10 in standard dilution for all disinfecting jobs. Inreckon it's by far the best product for the job.
You should try the Clorox Urine spray. It’s works really well. I have 3 boys that have the most awful aim when going pee so I have to spray their floor and toilet daily. I have used Clorox urine spray for months and really really like it. And it’s much cheaper then your As Seen On TV spray you have.
How is your mini fridge not jammed with Repashy and Pangea products? I want a mini fridge because they're taking up all the space in our regular fridge.
Some advice, even though it’s enzyme based, urine-gone puts off fumes that can be harmful to a lot of animals with more sensitive respiratory systems. I recommend getting a poop cleaner made for birds (like poop-off) they come in a wipe, bottles with a scrubby brush, spray bottles and have huge refill bottles that you can buy. You can also use white vinegar to disinfect and baking soda to absorb liquid messes before they soak into fabric.
Hi! I see you are using 90% alcohol to disinfect surfaces. This isn’t ideal. You should use 70% because 90% will evaporate before it has killed all the bacteria

I know this video is a bit old, sorry. For carpet stains, from vomit or poop or whatever, there's like $50 handheld wet vacs with fabric/carpet shampoo. I bought one after my cat vomited a hairball on my bed once; honestly no amount of scrubbing or blotting or baking soda could get the smell of bile out of my bed but I swear by this vacuum, which lifted it completely in a few seconds. It's also obviously useful for any kind of carpet stains like food etc. Also, if you or anyone in your household buys groceries or anything with plastic bags, you could use those instead for picking up waste, and then just tie them off the same. It is greener than recycling them and then buying brand new bags. I try to shop with reusable bags but I forget more often than I wish I would, and I just put all of the bags into a container on a shelf for cleaning the litter box and a small bathroom trash can.
If the water (oh its 2018, oh well) jug still has oils on it from the plastic forming process you might have to remove them with alcohol then maybe give it a once over with some light sandpaper, the acrylic paint should stick much better. It's kind of a bitch some times.

It sounds weird, But For cleaning all my animals and reptiles I actually have a large shop vacuum that cleans up poop, uneaten food, And general dirt in my tanks. Afterward I Just empty it out.
the place i use to work for made a product like urine gone, was called U R In Control, sold a case (12 bottles) for like $40 to hospitals and old age homes. they couldn't get enough of that stuff lol worked great when i got a new puppy a few years back.use to also sell it by the 55 gallon drum to a big college and they used it to mist the dumpsters to keep them from stinking.
Hey, maybe with or instead of poop bags, you could also use plastic bags they give you in stores. They’re free, and they can conceal the poop smell too. I use them for my bearded dragon and they work fine. It’s a good way to reuse, instead of immediately tossing the bag, and you don’t have as many poop bags.
I could tell the water jug was painted with acrylic because I use to paint everything with acrylic before I realized it really isn’t meant for everything lol

Alex I've got to tell you a funny story.. About the reptil-safe for the water.. My friend uses a water bottle to mix it and uses that bottle for her leopard gecko. She was in a hurry one day and she accidentally took that water bottle with her, she was drinking it while driving to her mom's house. By the time she reached there she drank the whole bottle of water treated reptil-safe. She said she started to get stomach cramps and was running to the bathroom 3-4 times at her mom's house. Thing is robot vacuums can only clean floor in big open space. Soon as you need to vacuum around the kitchen bin or along the stairs etc, it’s useless, so you need a normal vacuum anyways. So you might as well spend that £400 on a nicer phone haha
I suggest also getting hydrogen peroxide. It can disinfect and clean biological debris without the being lethal to aquatic pets also. You can also rinse your mouth, treat algae growth, and primarily be used as an antiseptic for wounds.

We used a Berkey water filter to filter drinking/cooking water for the humans in our house long before we got a reptile. It filters out all the harmful stuff without adding chemicals. It's great for reptile safe water. Poop is biodegradable. Why toss it in the trash when it can be thrown in the yard or compost pile? It will flush down a toilet as well if it's only poop and not poop and substrate.
The poop bags are probably the best investment. I work at a small family owned pet supply shop (we sell supplies, not animals), and my favorite item we sell are these biodegradable doo-doo bags- and let me tell you, they are absolute life savers.
I have a tiny vacuum that i use to clean up poop and dead crickets inside my leo’s enclosure. Super handy!!! Also because I only have one reptile i also have a mini trashcan from Daiso that i put paper towels and poop and stuff in!
I literally only have a leopard gecko but I also have a mini fridge in my room, I don’t really keep anything in it other then my spare mealworms, lol, I was hoping for one with a freezer for frozen fish food but my parents won this one I’m pretty sure and gave it to me for my birthday and so I’m luck to have one at all, lol

You can get biodegradable poop bags if you are worried about the plastic you are throwing away. They keep the smells in just like plastic and they hold up for more than long enough for you to discard the full bag of trash, but they break down well over longer time. You can get biodegradable trash bags too!
You can sprinlke a thin layer of baby powder in trashcan after cleaning up reptile enclosures and it will cover up any smell. I use it after cleaning my cats litterbox and the trashcan doesnt stink.
Instead of putting your hand in the bag to pick up poop and all that jazz use a popper scooper or those butch mittens I mean gloves to maximize how gets in those Lil bags then all the whiny kids win
You can pick up biodegradable poop bags at a local pet store. They typically will have a container with individual rolls. Mine sells each roll for .99!

You can pick up biodegradable poop bags at a local pet store. They typically will have a container with individual rolls. Mine sells each roll for .99!
