My lil S10 is OBD1 with no codes, so after tune up and cleaning every sensor I pulled the vacuum line to the egr, been running great !

I've fought those Weber carbs for years. They will allow fuel to bleed through if the fuel pressure is over 4.5 - 5 psi. Put a pressure regulator on it.
That carb looks like the old updraft ones that came on old tractors like the Ford 9N, jubilee, etc.

On my 74, where the power from the harness to the distributer there was a flat blade that came out of the distributer, the power wire plugged onto this blade. When you pulled the wire off or pushed it on it felt very tight. It wasn't really though.when fully on it wobbled a bit.
One day up in the mountains it would run fine going down hill and on the flats, but not up some hills. I got into a place I couldn't go up the hill on either end of this valley.
Turns out as I was going up the hill the engine load rocked the engine enough so the wobbly wire connection would kill the engine. I squeezed the wire terminal a bit to tighten the connection and plugged it back on. If Slicks Luv plugs together the same way, that may be the reason it stumbles under certain circumstances.

I had a defective coil on my Datsun like u have. It would give the indications you have on the LUV. I found it out the hard way. I was leaning over the truck looking for erroneous sparks and the coil reached out and said hello to a metal chain I had around my neck. It got me multiple times. Shocked me, I hit my head on the hood and again and again three times. My Dad laughed so hard he spilled his beer.

A friend of mine bought himself a Courier back right after we graduated from High School, and it was that same bright orange... he put a set of crosslace wheels on it, and it looked good! The only problem was, it had the automatic transmission in it, and it was slow and loud! A downshift would make you want to get out and throw up...

I’d toss an electronic ignition in it! I put a universal one in my ole Chevy luv and after some custom modifications to make it fit, it ran like a top!

Check for side play on the distributor shaft. I've had the same problem before, and had to replace the distributor.
That style of backup alarm is better on your ears, doesn’t echo as bad and is easier to pinpoint location on sound only.
That’s a Rochester B, leaks right out of the box, that’s how you know it’s fueling…

Better check your distributer. My LUV did some misfiring due to loose condensers and point adjustment. The condenser was making intermittent contact. It would idle or run at low speed, but any vibration or bumps would mess it up. Like to never found the problem, but it cured it from then on.
You and Old Slick 50 are killing it.

Best rivet removal...cut the rivet heat clean off and use a body hammer point in and use sledge hammer to hit the flat end of the body hammer. 👌

Fastest way to do rivets is zip wheel a deep cross cut into rivet head then chisel each section--will pop right off!! And fyi that old centercap with an R on it is from old ramblers! Have a happy bird day...

If you get one of the first Gen Courier and put a U HAUL box on it, it would be cool. Never made one of those. Also the First Gen Courier is very close to a Mazda Rotary pickup.
